As dusk fell, the city's clamor gradually subsided. The neon lights flickered with vibrant colors along the streets, as if heralding the prosperity of this city. However, amidst the bustling crowd, one figure stood out as particularly lonely. He was Xiao Ye. 0

Xiao Ye stood in the middle of the street, his gaze deep and solemn, emanating an aura that felt out of place in this world. Three thousand years of cultivation had made him a Supreme being from another realm, but it also burdened him with heavy responsibilities and solitude. Now, he had finally embarked on his journey back to Earth. 0

"This place has changed so much..." Xiao Ye murmured to himself, gazing at the familiar yet unfamiliar city before him. His thoughts drifted back three thousand years to when he was just an ordinary student, filled with dreams of cultivation, who accidentally opened the door to another realm. From that moment on, he had embarked on an irreversible path. 0

Xiao Ye took a deep breath and lifted his feet toward his former residence. Along the way, he saw a young couple holding hands affectionately, their faces beaming with happiness, and a pang of sorrow struck his heart. "Perhaps I once had such happiness too..." he whispered, quickening his pace. 0

Finally, he arrived at the neighborhood from his memories. However, the scene before him left him stunned—the once cozy little house had now become a pile of ruins. Xiao Ye's heart sank suddenly, as if something had struck him hard. 0

"How could this happen..." he murmured, hastily walking into the ruins, searching for traces of what once was. Suddenly, his gaze landed on a worn wooden sign that read " the Xiao Family." 0

"Dad... where are you?" A tender voice echoed in Xiao Ye's ears; it was his daughter calling out reluctantly before he left. His heart ached like it was being cut by a knife; the resilience he had built over three thousand years crumbled in that moment. 0

"I've come back..." Xiao Ye knelt on the ground, tightly gripping the wooden sign as tears streamed down his face. He once thought he had become cold and unfeeling, but in the face of his ruined home, he realized that his longing for family had never diminished. 0

As night deepened, Xiao Ye rose from the ruins with determination in his eyes. "I must find them, no matter the cost!" He resolved within himself and began searching throughout the city. 0

Walking down the street, Xiao Ye sensed a strange and cold aura. This city was no longer as he remembered; it was more suffocatingly prosperous than ever. He passed through one neighborhood after another, asking countless people but finding nothing. 0

Suddenly, his gaze landed on a small stall at the street corner. Two little girls were quietly selling flowers; their frail figures made Xiao Ye's heart tighten. He quickly approached them, bent down, and gently asked, "Little ones, are you selling flowers here?" 0

The two little girls looked up at Xiao Ye in surprise; one slightly older girl answered softly, "Yes, uncle." 0

Xiao Ye's heart trembled as he carefully examined the two girls. Their features bore some resemblance to him; that feeling of blood connection was impossible to ignore. "What are your names?" he asked nervously. 0

"My name is Xiaoxue; she is Xiaoyu," the girl replied cautiously. 0

"Xiaoxue... Xiaoyu..." Xiao Ye murmured these names, unable to contain his excitement. "Where is your mother? Where is she?" 0

"Mom... Mom is gone..." Xiaoxue lowered her head, tears welling in her eyes. Xiaoyu also began to sob softly. 0

Hearing these words, Xiao Ye's heart felt as if it had been torn apart. He tightly embraced the two girls, his voice trembling, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry... It's my fault, Daddy..." 0

The two little girls were momentarily stunned, then they hugged Xiao Ye back, choking on their words, "Daddy, you finally came back... We've been waiting for you..." 0

Xiao Ye could no longer hold back; tears poured out like a flood breaking through a dam. He held his two daughters tightly, the pain and guilt in his heart indescribable. "I'm back now, and I will never leave you again..." 0

That night, Xiao Ye took his two daughters back to their home among the ruins. The humble dwelling was filled with a long-lost warmth. They sat together as Xiao Ye listened to his daughters recount their experiences over the years, his heart filled with guilt and resentment. 0

"Daddy, we sold flowers on the street because we had no money at home..." Xiaoxue said softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of helplessness and strength. "After Mommy passed away, we could only survive this way." 0

Xiao Ye held Xiaoxue's hand, his eyes full of sorrow. "From now on, you will never have to suffer like this again. Daddy will protect you and won't let anyone hurt you." 0

Xiaoyu snuggled in Xiao Ye's arms and whispered, "Daddy, will you always be with us?" 0

"Yes, Daddy will always be by your side." Xiao Ye gently stroked Xiaoyu's head, silently vowing that no matter how difficult the future might be, he would protect these two little angels and ensure they would no longer suffer. 0

As night deepened, the two girls gradually fell asleep in Xiao Ye's embrace. However, he could not sleep, his heart filled with regret for the past and worries for the future. He understood that there were still many dark forces in this city; he had to clear all obstacles for his daughters. 0

"Those who harmed my daughters will not escape!" A cold light flashed in Xiao Ye's eyes as murderous intent surged within him. He was no longer the ordinary person he once was; he was now a powerful cultivator capable of protecting those most important to him. 0

The next morning, Xiao Ye took his two daughters out of the ruins and began a new life. He first found a quiet and safe place to provide his daughters with a stable home. Then he started investigating the backgrounds of those who had harmed his daughters, preparing for revenge. 0

"Daddy, where are you going?" Xiaoxue asked as she watched Xiao Ye prepare to leave. 0

"Daddy has some things to take care of; I'll be back soon. You two stay at home and behave; don't go outside, okay?" Xiao Ye gently instructed. 0

"Got it, Daddy. Be careful," Xiaoxue nodded understandingly and pulled Xiaoyu along to see Xiao Ye off. 0

Walking down the street, Xiao Ye's mood gradually calmed. He knew that every step he took had to be cautious; he could not allow his daughters to suffer any more harm. He arrived at a base of an underground intelligence network, ready to seek some crucial clues. 0

"Mr. Xiao Ye, welcome," a middle-aged man greeted him respectfully, clearly already aware of his identity. 0

"I need some information about the dark forces in this city, especially those related to orphans," Xiao Ye said directly, his gaze piercing. 0

"Of course, that's our specialty. Please wait a moment," the man nodded and quickly handed over a detailed report to Xiao Ye. 0

As he flipped through the documents, Xiao Ye furrowed his brow. He discovered a force called the Shadow Organization, which specialized in exploiting orphans for illegal activities, even involving human trafficking and organ trade. Anger filled his heart as he resolved to completely destroy this organization. 0

"Shadow Organization... your end is near!" Xiao Ye said coldly, tucking the documents into his coat and turning to leave. 0

Back at his residence, Xiao Ye looked at his two innocent daughters and felt even more determined. "From today on, I will use my strength to ensure you live a happy life." 0

Xiao Xue and Xiao Yu looked at their father's resolute expression, feeling an unprecedented sense of security. They knew that Dad had truly returned and would never leave them again. 0

As night fell once more, Xiao Ye stood by the window, gazing into the distance. He knew that the road ahead would still be filled with challenges, but he was ready. For the sake of these two daughters, he was willing to give everything. 0

"Dad, can you tell us a story?" Xiao Xue suddenly ran over and tugged at Xiao Ye's sleeve. 0

Xiao Ye smiled and nodded, picking up both daughters to sit by the bed as he began to tell them their story. "Once upon a time, there was a brave cultivator who traveled through countless worlds just to return to his beloved family..." 0

In the soft light, Xiao Ye's voice was filled with warmth and love. The two little girls nestled in his arms, quietly listening to this touching tale until they gradually drifted off to sleep. 0

That night, Xiao Ye finally found the long-lost peace. He knew that no matter how difficult the future might be, he would use his strength to protect this warm home and ensure it would never be broken again. 0
