Let's rewind time to two days before the outbreak of the event. 0

Huang Renjie traversed the alleyways, with the little cat Ah Hua sticking to him like a shadow, leading him into a complex maze. This was not his first time chasing Ah Hua, but this cat seemed more cunning than ever before. 0

Ah Hua's pattern on its head shimmered under the dim streetlight, as if mocking him. Huang Renjie attempted to crouch down and slowly approach, but every time he reached out to grab Ah Hua, the little cat always swiftly evaded, leaving behind a blurry figure. 0

On an ordinary night, such a scene might have elicited laughter, but for Huang Renjie, it was now a challenge. He knocked over a trash can, creating a loud noise that attracted the residents of the surrounding alleyways. 0

"What are you doing?" a young man asked curiously, watching as Huang Renjie desperately chased after Ah Hua. 0

Huang Renjie, breathing heavily, tried to explain, "There's a cat, I have to catch her." 0

Huang Renjie shuttles back and forth in the alley. The ancient stone buildings on both sides of the alley are covered with vines and flowers. The red walls under the eaves reflect the sunlight, creating a warm atmosphere. However, this beautiful alley scene contrasts sharply with the current chaotic situation. 0

Huang Renjie frowns, sweat dripping from his forehead. He is completely teased by the little cat Ah Hua. Whenever he tries to approach Ah Hua, the cat suddenly turns and quickly hides in a narrow space, leaving only a faint shadow of its tail. 0

The uneven cobblestone road in the alley made it even more difficult for Huang Renjie to keep his balance. He kicked an empty trash can, making a clanging sound, and almost fell to the ground. The surrounding residents gathered to watch this hilarious scene, some clapping and encouraging, while others laughed loudly, their laughter seemingly mocking Huang Renjie. 0

An elderly woman came out with a broom, watching Ah Hua dodge and leap, and jokingly said, "It looks like this little cat is more agile than our detective!" Her laughter echoed throughout the alley, eliciting agreement from others. 0

Huang Renjie constantly changed direction, trying to catch Ah Hua, but the cat's agility was astonishing. Ah Hua seemed to thoroughly enjoy the game, at times hiding under boxes and at other times climbing onto the roof, leaving Huang Renjie momentarily disoriented. 0

Finally, when Ah Hua once again evaded his grasp and successfully leaped from one alley to another, Huang Renjie could only stop in resignation, hands on his knees, panting heavily. His clothes were covered in stains, his shoes caked in mud, but he was still unwilling to give up. 0

People in the alley looked at the disheveled detective and burst into laughter. Perhaps they didn't know that the detective's life was about to face an even greater challenge, and Ah Hua was just a trivial beginning. Huang Renjie stood in the alley, looking up at the sky, knowing that whether it was chasing a cat or facing bigger difficulties, he would not easily back down. 0

Having gained nothing, Huang Renjie slowly made his way back to the Mystery Mind Detective Agency in the old city area of City A. The office was located in a historic building with an ancient exterior, complex structure, and multiple floors, but it exuded a special classical style. However, with the passage of time, its glory had faded, with peeling paint on the exterior walls and some damage to the window frames. As he opened the old wooden door and entered the simple office, the receptionist and file manager, Auntie Hong, sat behind a desk piled high with papers, looking at him with a mischievous expression. 0

Auntie Hong then opened her mouth and said, "Hey, Renjie, you look like you've been through a great adventure! Is this a new fashion style?" Huang Renjie responded angrily, "It's really funny, Auntie Hong. Little cat Ah Hua played me around, and you're making jokes at this time." Auntie Hong slapped the table and teasingly said, "Oh, no no no, I'm not joking. Maybe you should promote this new style, perhaps someone will imitate it." 0

Huang Renjie shook his head helplessly. This Auntie Hong who always liked to tease him could always ease his emotions a bit. Their banter and laughter echoed in the office, as if it were a way to fight against external difficulties. 0

Finally, Auntie Hong suddenly picked up a towel from the table and threw it at Huang Renjie, saying, "Alright, Renjie, stop complaining. Wipe your face, we still have a lot of work to do." 0

He took the towel, wiped his forehead, made a funny face, and then said, "You're right, Auntie Hong. Although we don't have any other assignments right now, we still have to sit here and wait for opportunities to come." 0

After entering the office, it is a small and crowded space, with a somewhat chaotic layout. A row of sofas is against the wall, looking quite old, with some outdated magazines and newspapers placed on top. 0

On the desk, there is an old desktop computer, with the monitor emitting a faint buzzing sound, displaying a simple desktop background. There are some scattered documents and notes on the table, looking a bit messy. 0

The shutters of the window were opened, allowing some sunlight to come in, but they also showed signs of aging, making them difficult to operate. The view outside the window was of a narrow alley, crowded buildings, and dilapidated shops, as if it had returned to the past. 0

In this crowded and somewhat old office, only Huang Renjie sat alone in front of the desk, facing the case commission form on the screen. These commissions were all insignificant small cases, almost unable to bring enough income to the firm. Huang Renjie flipped through the case files and found the last major case, which was just an infidelity investigation. The client suspected their partner of being unfaithful and requested evidence to be investigated. Although this case was resolved last month, it was not enough to sustain the operation of the firm. Furthermore, since then, there had been almost no new cases coming in. He sighed, realizing that the current situation was not optimistic. 0
