Great Yuan Province, Duyun, Twin Lion City
In Great Yuan Province, Duyun is just one of the nine counties within the region and is not particularly remarkable. However, Twin Lion City is extremely famous in Great Yuan Province and is considered one of the few major cities in the area.
According to legend, hundreds of years ago, Twin Lion City was not called Twin Lion City, but rather Shuangshi City. One night, two ferocious beasts known as the Domain Evil Eye Lion suddenly appeared in Shuangshi City, rampantly slaughtering humans. In a single night, tens of thousands of people perished at their claws. Later, an unknown powerful figure suddenly appeared, wielding a Single Blade. He effortlessly killed the two lions and severed their heads, hanging them at the city gate. From that day on, Shuangshi City was renamed Twin Lion City.
To commemorate this event, two enormous stone lion statues were placed before the city gate of Twin Lion City. Although they do not possess the terrifying aura of real demon lions, the stone lions are carved in the likeness of the Domain Evil Eye Lion. Notably, the eyes of these stone lions are embedded with the eyeballs of the two Domain Evil Eye Lions, giving them a formidable presence that deters ordinary low-level beasts from entering the city.
The prominence of Twin Lion City as one of the major cities in Great Yuan Province is not solely due to this reason; its geographical location also plays a significant role.
Twin Lion City is situated at the junction of north and south, positioned in a prime area between Great Yuan Province and Xuan Prefecture. Generally, merchants and travelers choose to stay here, which over time has turned Twin Lion City into a hub for commercial exchange.
