The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Xia Zhouyi was plump and slow in movement. Faced with the relentless quick attacks of the Old Witch, he found himself in a difficult position. Although he was at a disadvantage, he remained undefeated. On the other hand, the Old Witch, frustrated by her inability to break through, became increasingly impatient. Xia Zhouyi advanced cautiously, firmly holding his defensive line and not allowing the Old Witch any opportunity to exploit. The Old Witch, left with no choice, gathered her energy and prepared to unleash her signature technique. Suddenly, her face transformed dramatically, sinking inward, and then dozens of masked energy blasts shot out from her face, targeting Xia Zhouyi.
With the swift Qigong and his bulky frame, it meant that Xia Zhouyi could not evade the Old Witch's attack. He made a decisive move, cutting his palm with his knife, blood flowing freely. With another swing of his knife, the first killing move of the Famous Sword Society emerged; a mist of blood filled the air, using blood to guide the blade in a display of immense power that surged towards the Old Witch's Mianju Qigong. The vast blood attack broke through the Old Witch's Qigong like a tidal wave, sending her flying hundreds of feet away from the old site of the Famous Sword Society, spitting out mouthfuls of blood and heavily injured. Liu Yi saw that the Old Witch was hurt and struck Chen Qi back with a palm, quickly taking the Old Witch away.
Chen Qi said, "It's such a pity to let these two evil beings escape. Now that we have discovered anomalies here, what should we do?"
Xia Zhouyi replied, "For now, we should leave this place." Thus, Xia Zhouyi led several disciples away.
Within the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain, Crane-Haired Youthful Face was on the verge of completing the Eternal Life Furnace created by eternal years. The spiritual energy within the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain was gradually depleting; the bamboo had dried up and was nearing death; flowers and plants had long since vanished in the merciless flames of the Eternal Life Furnace; even the water source had evaporated almost completely; the entire divine domain resembled a desert wasteland. Crane-Haired Youthful Face concentrated his energy with his fingers and struck open the lid of the Eternal Life Furnace. With another palm strike, he sent Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao's bodies into the Eternal Life Furnace before closing its lid again.
Crane-Haired Youthful Face said, "Let these two martial arts masters serve as a celebration for the completion of the Eternal Life Furnace." After speaking, sounds of turmoil erupted from within the Eternal Life Furnace. Just as all the bamboo in the divine domain snapped at once, the Eternal Life Furnace was completed. A surge of heat shot upwards, illuminating the land. Then, the lid opened automatically, and Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao jumped out from inside. Their expressions were different; although they retained their memories and their consciousness was reshaped, they were utterly obedient to Crane-Haired Youthful Face.
Crane-Haired Youthful Face ordered Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao to spar with each other to observe whether their martial skills had recovered. Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao began to fight; Bao Qing's palm energy remained fierce while Zhan Zhao wielded his fingers like swords without retreating. After several exchanges, Zhan Zhao defeated Bao Qing. Seeing this, Crane-Haired Youthful Face called for a stop: "It seems both of you still possess your formidable skills as before."
Bao Qing asked, "What other orders do you have for us, Master?"
Crane-Haired Youthful Face replied: "You two are to go to Liu Ling Tavern and kill Yin Yang Person Liu Yi."
Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao responded: "Understood." They then left Martial Bamboo Divine Domain heading towards Liu Ling Tavern.
Inside Confucius Academy, Lingxie Demon Domain and those from Eternal Years were discussing strategies against God of Consciousness. Demon Among Demons asked: "How much does Supreme Lord know about God of Consciousness? What are his weaknesses?"
Eternal Sovereign replied: "What I know is that God of Consciousness has reached a god-like level in martial arts; even if everyone here joins forces against him, we would not be his match. Even adding top expert Yi Zhangzhi from Second Space Martial World would still leave us with slim chances. This is because God of Consciousness seems intangible; ordinary Qigong cannot harm him at all. I do not know how to overcome this point."
Evil Demon Reincarnation suggested: "To find a way to break through this issue, we can start with Yin Yang Person Liu Yi. We can capture Liu Yi and then force him to reveal methods to deal with God of Consciousness."
Duanmu Chong interjected: "This plan is feasible but capturing Liu Yi will not be easy either; Liu Yi can control Consciousness Corps. We must continuously attack him without giving him a chance to activate Incantation; only then can we capture him in one fell swoop."
Demon Among Demons said, "Don't forget that Liu Yi has an Old Witch by his side. This person is also quite difficult to deal with and is not weak in martial arts."
Eternal Sovereign replied, "For the benefit of both parties, I suggest we all mobilize to capture Liu Yi and then force him to reveal information."
Evil Demon Reincarnation stated, "Alright, it's decided. Let's set off now." Thus, all the members of the Lingxie Demon Domain and those from the Eternal Years departed from Confucius Academy.
Liu Yi supported the injured Old Witch as they arrived at the ruins of the Judicial Court. The two began to channel their energy to turn this land into a barren wasteland. Just as Green Qi Flow was absorbing the earth's energy, Premature Aging happened to pass by. Curious about what Liu Yi and the Old Witch were doing, Premature Aging stopped at a distance to observe the impending changes in the land. Liu Yi and the Old Witch noticed someone watching them from afar. Seeing that the invisible energy wall was stable, Old Witch approached Premature Aging, intending to end the life of this curious onlooker.
Seeing the murderous intent radiating from Old Witch, Premature Aging secretly gathered inner strength, ready to strike. When Old Witch was five feet away from Premature Aging, she unleashed Mianju Qigong, targeting the curious individual before her. In response, Premature Aging transformed his palm into a flow of energy and struck back forcefully, causing Mianju Qigong to dissipate. Premature Aging asked, "This esteemed Old Matriarch, we have no grievances in the past and no enmity today. Why do you wish to harm me?"
Old Witch replied, "Because you have seen things you should not have seen, so you must die."
Premature Aging questioned, "Oh? What exactly did I see that I shouldn't have? Was it you, this Old Matriarch, or that person over there who reeks of alcohol?"
Not wanting to say more, Old Witch launched another fierce attack aimed at killing Premature Aging. Facing this inexplicable assault, Premature Aging responded with grace and agility, moving like a ghost. As each of Old Witch's attacks missed their mark, she became increasingly flustered. Just as Premature Aging was about to counterattack, changes occurred at the site of the Judicial Court. The ground cracked open, fissures appearing and extending outward. Captivated by this sudden transformation, Premature Aging halted his offensive. However, Old Witch, relentless in her pursuit, continued to attack him. Seeing that their mission was accomplished, Liu Yi joined in on the assault, creating a two-on-one situation.
Focusing intently on the changes in the ground, Premature Aging, disinterested in fighting further, feigned several attacks before repelling both Liu Yi and Old Witch. He remarked, "My interest is fleeting; once something loses my interest, whatever comes next will suffer."
Realizing that this opponent was formidable and not suitable for prolonged combat, Liu Yi left with the Old Witch. At that moment, having grown tired of observing the cracks in the ground, Premature Aging prepared to engage in battle with them again but found that they had already left the scene. He muttered, "What a disappointment!"
Meanwhile, Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao arrived at the Liu Ling Tavern, intending to kill Liu Yi. Unfortunately, they could not find any trace of him; the area had turned into a desolate wasteland devoid of life and filled with deep crevices. They paid little attention to what had caused this transformation and began making their way back towards the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. Just as they had walked a short distance, they encountered Liu Yi and the injured Old Witch. Upon seeing Liu Yi, Zhan Zhao unleashed a swift sword strike aimed at him.
Recognizing that it was indeed Liu Yi, Bao Qing attacked the Old Witch. A fierce battle erupted in this barren land. Although injured, facing off against Bao Qing, the Old Witch felt confident of victory. The two exchanged powerful strikes; however, due to her much stronger inner strength compared to his, she sent him flying several dozen feet away without drawing blood despite injuring his internal organs. The sight puzzled her greatly; before she could think further on it, another deadly strike from Bao Qing came crashing down as their fierce battle continued.
Meanwhile, battling against Liu Yi, who was equally formidable as he was intoxicated with wine-induced techniques made it increasingly difficult for Zhan Zhao. Eventually overwhelmed by drunkenness from the wine's aroma, he could no longer continue fighting. After exchanging dozens of blows with each other during their fierce battle against each other, both were severely injured by repeated strikes from the Qigong of the Old Witch .
At this moment, members of the Lingxie Demon Domain and those from Eternal Years arrived on the scene. Surrounded by enemies on all sides, Liu Yi prepared to activate his Incantation to summon his Consciousness Corps to deal with everyone present. However, Duanmu Chong saw through his intentions and struck towards Liu Yi with a palm attack. To protect himself, Liu Yi had no choice but to stop channeling his Incantation and instead focused on countering. After this exchange of blows, Liu Yi was forced back several steps. The shadowy figure of Demon Among Demons appeared before Liu Yi with a shocking strike intended to subdue him. In response, Liu Yi hurriedly met him with a palm strike; after battling for so long, his inner strength had been greatly depleted—this time he could not withstand it and spat out blood.
Eternal Sovereign seized the opportunity to strike Liu Yi down to the ground with a palm. Duanmu Chong casually sealed Liu Yi's acupoint and took him away. Old Witch intended to chase after them, but was thwarted by the simultaneous attacks from Demon Among Demons, Evil Demon Reincarnation, and Eternal Sovereign, who aimed to stop her from rescuing Liu Yi and also eliminate her. Seeing the three powerful attacks coming at her, Old Witch could only muster all her true energy for a desperate fight for survival. With a loud explosion, Old Witch was splattered with blood, sustaining new injuries. At this moment, Demon Among Demons and the others had no intention of lingering at the scene and quickly left. Old Witch managed to save her life but was heavily injured.
With the battle over, Bao Qing and Zhan Zhao dragged their lives away toward the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain.
Duanmu Chong brought Liu Yi back to Confucius Academy and began to interrogate him about the weaknesses of the God of Consciousness. Liu Yi intended to recite an Incantation to summon the Consciousness Corps, but Duanmu Chong realized his intention and immediately sealed his mute acupoint. At that moment, Evil Demon Reincarnation and others returned. Eternal Sovereign asked, "Did you find out how to deal with the God of Consciousness?"
Duanmu Chong replied, "As soon as he opens his mouth, he activates an Incantation, intending to summon the Consciousness Corps. I couldn't extract any information from him."
Demon Among Demons: "Let me handle it; I guarantee he will cooperate."
The Nightmare Demon had been soaking in the Phoenix Pool for more than three nights. At this moment, the vines wrapping around the Nightmare Demon slowly released their grip. The Nightmare Demon opened its red eyes, leaped up, let out an eerie laugh, and then strolled away from the Phoenix Pool. Moments later, the Nightmare Demon arrived at the entrance of the Time-Space Rift in the First Space, its shadow moving swiftly as it merged into the rift. Above the Wind and Rain Valley in the Second Space, the Nightmare Demon descended with great power from within the rift.
