The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
In the garden of Murong Manor, Wu Ren Du was ambushed by Murong Yaoxian with a palm strike, officially opening the battle between them. Yi Zhangzhi launched a powerful attack, causing Wu Ren Du to retreat several steps. Murong Yaoxian replied, "But we cannot let him go; he already knows our whereabouts here and cannot be allowed to spread the news."
Yi Zhangzhi said, "Then fine, let's lock him in the basement of the manor." Thus, Yi Zhangzhi dragged the heavily injured Wu Ren Du and took him to the basement of Murong Manor.
Outside Poetry Sect, Duanmu Chong led Sea Never Dries Up and Stone Never Decays into battle. The sect leader Du Fu led his disciples into combat; after a brief skirmish, the people of Poetry Sect were defeated and killed in droves while Du Fu was injured by a strike from Duanmu Chong. Duanmu Chong said, "Du Fu, for the sake of our past friendship, I will spare your life; you may leave." Hearing this, Du Fu left Poetry Sect alone. Duanmu Chong then proceeded to kill everyone else from Poetry Sect, thus taking control of it.
Duanmu Chong continued leading Sea Never Dries Up towards Confucius Academy. After Mengzi's death, Confucius Academy had dwindled in talent and only a few students remained. Despite their desperate resistance under Duanmu Chong's might, they could not escape defeat. After a brief massacre, only one female student named Zhu Yingtai remained. Duanmu Chong said, "I do not kill women; you may go." Zhu Yingtai saved her life and fled Confucius Academy.
Zhu Yingtai thought: Now I must find Liang Shanbo and plot to rebuild the academy and seek revenge.
Duanmu Chong acted swiftly and within a day had destroyed several sects while leaving one survivor from each. Sea Never Dries Up asked, "Why not eliminate them all? Leaving survivors only allows them to report back; soon all martial artists will know that it was Sea Never Dries Up who committed these atrocities."
Duanmu Chong replied, "This is a test for Yi Zhangzhi. Let these survivors seek out Yi Zhangzhi; once he shows himself, we can determine whether he has truly withdrawn from the martial world and then devise our plan against him."
Sea Never Dries Up said: "I see. So what should we do now?"

Stone Never Decays made a dismissive expression: "I see you want to find that beautiful woman who captured your heart at first sight, Sea Never Dries Up. Do you still think of me as your wife?"

The Dragon Spring Treasure Sword was drawn, its sword energy swift as an arrow, and its palm strength fierce as the wind. The two launched their attacks, marking the beginning of a battle that should have occurred long ago. Despite the circumstances, Nightmare Demon accepted the challenge with pleasure, for the demonic power could not be provoked. The shadow of the demon transformed and twisted, evading Huangfu Mingmo's sword energy and palm force. The Sword God’s sword momentum circled around, closing in on Nightmare Demon, leading to a close-quarters battle.
To avoid being passive, Nightmare Demon manifested the Evil Blade in his right hand. In a shocking strike, their different gazes met for a fleeting moment: Huangfu Mingmo's eyes were cold with killing intent, while Nightmare Demon's were filled with unwavering determination. The two exchanged blows repeatedly, causing destruction to everything around them. The deafening sounds of their clash also attracted the attention of Dreamy Beauty within Eighteen Floors. High above, she watched the fight unfold with great amusement.
Seeing that he could not gain the upper hand after a prolonged assault, Huangfu Mingmo decisively activated his famous technique, One Sword to Level the Field, intending to defeat Nightmare Demon in one blow. Similarly eager for victory, Nightmare Demon utilized his left hand to channel the Magic Technique, Shattered Corpse, No Bones Left, infusing demonic energy into the Evil Blade. Nightmare Demon: "If I lose, Huangfu Mingmo will kill me. Do you think that is worth it?"
Yi Zhangzhi: "You can seek help from Dreamy Beauty."
Nightmare Demon: "Alright then, it's settled."
The fierce battle continued as Huangfu Mingmo unleashed his signature move, One Sword Transforms into Nine Thousand, generating immense energy. In desperation, Nightmare Demon raised his left hand and activated his technique, determinedly executing the magic move that kills souls without harming spirits. As their ultimate techniques clashed again, Nightmare Demon was struck down; several sword energies pierced through him, causing him to bleed and sustain injuries. Subsequently, he leaped onto Eighteen Floors. However, Huangfu Mingmo would not allow his rival to escape and pursued him up to Eighteen Floors. At this moment, they found themselves sandwiched between each other and Dreamy Beauty.
Dreamy Beauty, covering her mouth with a smile, said: "It seems I am the judge of this decisive battle."
Huangfu Mingmo: "Please step aside; I intend to end this demon's life."
With a flick of her sleeve revealing her delicate skin intended to entice him, Dreamy Beauty glanced at Huangfu Mingmo, noticing no signs of distraction. Within the Poetry Sect, the Master of Eternal Time, Eternal Constant, descended in might, with an ethereal figure, splendid attire, a golden crown, an extraordinary face, and enchanting eyes. Holding a golden scepter, Eternal Constant commanded many of the people of Eternal Time to appear and pay their respects. Eternal Constant said: "Everyone, today we officially enter the martial world of Second Space. Once we confirm that Yi Zhangzhi has truly withdrawn from the martial world, we can take action against various sects. To expedite this process, Crane-Haired Youthful Face, you shall go forth to showcase your martial skills across the martial world."
A man with a head full of white hair but a youthful face bowed in response: "I have long thought about showcasing my talents in the martial world." Thus, Crane-Haired Youthful Face transformed into energy and departed from the Poetry Sect.
Eternal Constant stated: "I will head to Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors, where the formidable Demoness resides." With that, he flew away from the Poetry Sect towards Eighteen Floors.
Huangfu Mingmo, chasing after the Nightmare Demon, arrived at the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. The Immortal of Eternal Youth and Bai Wujin appeared to stop him from entering to search. Huangfu Mingmo declared: "Those unrelated should step aside; I must enter to find the Nightmare Demon. Anyone who obstructs me shall be killed without mercy."
Bai Wujin: "Such bravado! Let me see your skills." With that, Bai Wujin unleashed a blade aura with his finger to test Huangfu Mingmo's martial arts. However, Huangfu Mingmo retaliated fiercely; a cold sword energy surged like a tidal wave towards Bai Wujin. The sword energy overwhelmed the blade aura, and in an instant, Bai Wujin was pushed back while Huangfu Mingmo swiftly entered the Inner Hall of the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. Moments later, he emerged from within. Unwilling to accept defeat in this first battle of the martial world, Bai Wujin, fully channeling his true essence into his fingers, launched another powerful strike in an attempt to regain his standing. Facing this lethal move, Huangfu Mingmo spun his sword; a swirling airflow emerged as he executed his technique: One Sword Breaking the Sky. In an instant, his energy shot upwards and descended horizontally to counteract Bai Wujin's attack. The two techniques clashed; due to losing his divine artifact, Bai Wujin's aura weakened slightly and fell short once again. As a result, he suffered another defeat. Blood flowed from his right palm as it was cut by the sword energy of Huangfu Mingmo.
Not wishing to continue entangling further, Huangfu Mingmo swept away dust and obscured his vision. When his sight cleared again, he had already vanished from in front of Bai Wujin. Furious, Bai Wujin exclaimed: "I lost in my first battle here; it seems that Yi Zhangzhi is indeed formidable. This martial world is truly filled with experts; I need a Famous Sword."
The Immortal of Eternal Youth: "I am not from this space and do not know where there are any available for sale; you should ask Bai Lian Yi Jun Sheng. I believe he will know where to find a Famous Sword."
Bai Wujin: "Alright, I will go seek out Yi Junsheng." With that, he left the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain.
