The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Tang Bo Hu led the Skeleton Army to the outskirts of Ming Kong Residence to meet with Sun Simiao and others. Sun Simiao raised a concern again, "If this army attacks and we encounter the same situation as last time where the Skeleton Army cannot fully reorganize, what should we do?"
Tang Bo Hu replied, "Don't worry, this time if the Skeletons are scattered, they will regroup quickly, and we won't give them a chance. Everyone, follow me in!" So Tang Bo Hu, Sun Simiao, and others charged into Ming Kong Residence once more. After entering, they found it empty and discovered no secret passages after searching around. Tang Bo Hu asked, "Strange, where are they? Did you see anyone from the Judicial Court come out while you were outside?"
Lin Cong replied, "No, we have been guarding for a long time and haven't seen anyone come out. Could there be a back door? Did they escape through it?"
Tang Bo Hu ordered the Skeleton Army to search carefully for any clues. After a moment, one Skeleton reported, "We found a basement inside the Inner Hall; the people from the Judicial Court might be hiding there." Tang Bo Hu and the others immediately headed to the basement. Upon arriving at the basement, they saw an iron door secured by a huge iron chain locked with a strangely shaped lock. The lock resembled a pentagram, and the keyhole was very small—barely thicker than a human hair. Lin Cong struck it with his spear, but unfortunately, the lock remained unharmed. When the sound echoed throughout the basement, Yi Junsheng inside heard it and shouted, "Help! I'm trapped in here!"
Upon hearing Yi Junsheng's cries, Sun Simiao said, "That sounds like Yi Junsheng's voice. Hey, Yi Junsheng, is that you inside?"
Yi Junsheng responded, "Yes! I was caught by Huangfu Mingmo while trying to assassinate Bao Qing and was locked up here. Hurry and rescue me!"
Tang Bo Hu said, "You're someone who can't be trusted; your words are not credible. Let's leave him and go."
Yi Junsheng quickly explained, "Tang Bo Hu, you misunderstand! The reason I cut your hand bone was to gain Qiu Yuxia's trust so that I could have an opportunity to assassinate Bao Qing. But then Huangfu Mingmo unexpectedly appeared and ruined my plan; otherwise, I wouldn't be locked up here. Think about it carefully; I truly wanted to kill Bao Qing."
Sun Simiao said, "Tang Bo Hu, Yi Junsheng has a point. We should rescue him first."
Tang Bo Hu reluctantly believed Yi Junsheng's words but added, "This lock cannot be opened; we can't rescue you either."
Yi Junsheng said, "To open the lock, we need Divine Craftsman Ouyuzi; he is a professional and can definitely help us. Hurry!"
Tang Bo Hu asked, "Oh? Ou Ziye? Where is he?"
Yi Junsheng replied, "How would I know? You should send someone to find him."
Tang Bo Hu said, "Alright, I will send someone to look for him. Once we find him, we will come back to rescue you. For now, we need to search for Bao Qing's whereabouts." With that, Tang Bo Hu and his group left the basement.
Yi Zhangzhi returned to Martial Bamboo Divine Domain from Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors, saying, "A great battle is about to begin. I must first tame this Spirit Python to prevent future harm." Thus, Yi Zhangzhi arrived outside the storage room, where he could hear the sounds of roaring within. Yi Zhangzhi unleashed his Demonic Arts cultivation Hua Ti Mian Dao Mo and entered. Upon seeing its prey, the Spirit Python lunged at him with its mouth wide open. The Nightmare Demon refrained from attacking for fear that the Spirit Python would petrify; once petrified, it would be impossible to deal with. The Nightmare Demon emitted its own Evil Energy, enveloping the entire storage room, and quickly leaped onto the Spirit Python, gripping its neck tightly to prevent its head from aiming at him. After a struggle, the Spirit Python could not shake off the Nightmare Demon, which soon became exhausted and collapsed onto the ground.
At this moment, the weakened Spirit Python was invaded by the Evil Energy. After a fierce struggle against the Evil Energy, the Spirit Python finally succumbed to the might of the Nightmare Demon. The Nightmare Demon did not wish to rescue Yamada Koji, so it commanded the Spirit Python: "Once I open the door, you may go out to seek your prey. Remember, any creature except humans can be your prey." The Spirit Python sensed this and nodded in agreement. At that moment, the Nightmare Demon opened the storage room door, and the Spirit Python darted out quickly. Outside, Yi Zhangzhi was caught off guard as the Spirit Python escaped right before his eyes. He asked the Nightmare Demon, "What command did you give?"
The Nightmare Demon replied, "Yamada Koji is a calamity of a creature that cannot be spared; I only issued a command to eliminate Yamada Koji."
Yi Zhangzhi: "How am I supposed to explain this to Sun Simiao?"
The Nightmare Demon: "That is your concern; think for yourself. A great battle is about to begin; I shall return to your body." With that, the Nightmare Demon merged back into Yi Zhangzhi. At this point, the Spirit Python had returned from hunting. Yi Zhangzhi signaled for it to temporarily enter the storage room and said, "It seems that Yamada Koji has already been digested; let's put this matter aside for now. Next, I should be hunted by Huangfu Mingmo. I wonder if Dreamy Beauty can fulfill my expectations?"
The time agreed upon by Huangfu Mingmo and Yi Zhangzhi was approaching. At the Ten-Mile Pavilion, she pondered what conditions she should propose to him. Just then, a waft of floral fragrance blew in with the wind, and a stunning figure with an enchanting demeanor and breathtaking beauty appeared not far from the pavilion. However, in her heart, Huangfu Mingmo already had someone she admired; otherwise, she would surely be captivated by this ravishing beauty. As Dreamy Beauty approached gracefully, Huangfu Mingmo was momentarily stunned. She asked in confusion, "The person I am waiting for here is Yi Zhangzhi. Why has the pavilion master come here?"
With a smile, Dreamy Beauty replied: "Underneath the bright moon, the sword god's demeanor is truly irresistible for me! Why don't we compose poetry together under this moonlight?"
Huangfu Mingmo: "I am not interested; just state your intentions directly. Otherwise, I will consider that Yi Zhangzhi has broken his promise, and you can imagine what consequences that would entail without me having to spell it out."
A displeased expression crossed Dreamy Beauty's face as she said: "What a killjoy! I am here on behalf of Yi Zhangzhi. He is determined to have Qiu Yuxia, and nothing—no person or thing—can stop his resolve to marry her, not even Yi Junsheng."
Upon hearing this, it felt like a bolt from the blue to Huangfu Mingmo, who immediately erupted in anger: "That despicable Yi Zhangzhi! I will tear him apart!" With that declaration, she soared into the air and dashed toward the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. Seeing this, Dreamy Beauty laughed heartily and said: "Yi Zhangzhi, what needed to be done has been done by me; now let’s see your performance. Another good show awaits; I shall feast my eyes on it."
Like lightning, Huangfu Mingmo reached the vicinity of the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. She saw that Yi Zhangzhi was sitting in his courtyard drinking tea when she furiously unleashed a sword strike directly at him. Caught off guard, he was hit by her sword energy and instantly suffered injuries that caused him to cough up blood. Seizing her advantage, she launched several more sword energies in furious pursuit. Unable to evade in time, more sword marks appeared on his body. At this moment, using his technique called Dust Whisk , he struck back at her before leaping out of combat range to escape. However, after blocking his attack, Huangfu Mingmo immediately chased after him.
Running through wild terrain with injuries sustained, Yi Zhangzhi raced forward desperately. Just then, blocked by an enraged Wu Sangui of the Sea Mountain Observer who came again seeking revenge against him. Wu Sangui declared: "After much thought, I've decided it's better to wrongfully kill than let go; you shall accept your fate now." With that statement made, he thrust his deadly sword towards him.
Yi Zhangzhi responded: "Guardian Wu, your enemy should be Duanmu Chong ! Why do you persistently cling onto me?" After saying this, Yi Zhangzhi executed his technique called Seven Stars and engaged in evasive maneuvers against Wu Sangui . After several exchanges of blows between them ended in a stalemate. At this point, Huangfu Mingmo had caught up as well; her sword energy surged forth once more as she re-engaged Yi Zhangzhi in battle. Outnumbered two-to-one and increasingly anxious due to his injuries weighing him down like fragile eggshells under pressure from both opponents' attacks.
After another moment passed where Yi Zhangzhi was again wounded by Huangfu Mingmo's sword strike causing blood to flow freely from him; feeling helpless he could only unleash palm energy frantically attacking both opponents in hopes of creating an opportunity for escape. After dodging his palm energy attack successfully,Huangfu Mingmo remained relentless in pursuit while Wu Sangui saw help arriving making it much easier for them both to hunt down Yi Zhangzhi together.
Continuing through turbulent dust clouds towards Wind and Rain Valley where strong winds and rain persist year-round with treacherous terrain featuring only one entrance which also serves as an exit—once entered there’s no way out except through this entrance itself—seeing pursuers closing in behind him left no choice but for Yi Zhangzhi to take risks entering it anyway. As soon as he stepped into Wind and Rain Valley afterward,Half-Dragon led his Half-Beast Army surrounding their exit completely declaring: “Men! Guard this place well; not even a mosquito should escape!”
Half Lion Man replied, "Yes, does Beast King want to personally intervene to deal with Yi Zhangzhi?"
Half-Dragon said, "No rush. Half Locust Man has already set everything up. When Yi Zhangzhi is exhausted and out of energy, I will step in, and then I can easily kill him." At that moment, Huangfu Mingmo and Wu Sangui arrived. Seeing Half-Orc on high alert, Huangfu Mingmo thought they must be here to deal with Yi Zhangzhi. Huangfu Mingmo said, "Half-Dragon, since our goals are the same, why not join forces to eliminate our common enemy?"
Half-Dragon replied, "Alright, for today we shall stand on the same front."
A moment later, Yi Zhangzhi, who had entered Wind and Rain Valley, was forced out by Half Locust Man and the other Half-Insect Men. At the valley entrance, Half-Dragon, Duanmu Chong, Huangfu Mingmo, and Wu Sangui surrounded Yi Zhangzhi, preparing to kill this top martial artist in one fell swoop. Just as they were about to swarm him, a voice echoed: "A thousand years of spring, ten thousand years of autumn, where does the peak remain? Striving upward, when will it cease? Looking back at the stormy clouds." Suddenly, an extraordinary figure descended, and the presence of Sword Saint Murong Mulong shocked everyone present. Murong Mulong said, "Huangfu Mingmo, little do you know that you will suffer harm from Tiger Seeking Skin; you monsters, Half-Orc and Half-Insect Men, should have disappeared from the Martial Arts Alliance; and you, Duanmu Chong, the ambitious one of the martial world, are you still sinking?"
Before Huangfu Mingmo, Duanmu Chong, and others could respond to Murong Mulong, Shu Heng arrived seeking revenge, followed closely by Heroic Blade Eighteen Vengeances. Shu Heng declared, "Duanmu old thief, today is the day you pay for your evil deeds."
Sword Immortal Qiu Yuxia came to rid the martial world of evil. Qiu Yuxia stated, "Today, both the Half-Orc and the Half-Insect Men shall be exterminated."
At this moment, hurried footsteps approached as Zhuge Kongming and others from the Martial Arts Community, along with members of the Confucius Academy and Liang Shanbo, also arrived at the scene. They prepared to annihilate the Half-Orc and the Half-Insect Men in revenge for those who had died, including Mengzi. Meanwhile, Dreamy Beauty led her group from Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors outside of Wind and Rain Valley, ready to intercept any escaping foes.
Extremes upon extremes. Outside of Wind and Rain Valley, many martial arts masters gathered. Had Yi Zhangzhi successfully lured out the snake from its hole? Would he be able to eliminate the martial world's scourge of the Half-Orc and the Half-Insect Men? Would Shu Heng succeed in her quest for revenge against Duanmu Chong?
