The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Within the Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge, Bao Qing wielded his energy like waves, repelling the Skeleton Army's relentless attacks. However, the undying Skeletons possessed endless stamina, and even though Bao Qing was highly skilled, there would come a time when he could no longer hold out. After several hours of fierce combat, Bao Qing's Inner Strength was greatly depleted, and he felt momentarily overwhelmed.
At this moment, the Bridge Master flew out from beneath the bridge to confront Bao Qing personally, intending to kill his enemy while he was exhausted. The Red Skeleton Bridge Master swept forward with tremendous force, aiming for Bao Qing. Faced with this unprecedented attack, Bao Qing barely gathered his strength and cautiously responded, asking, "Who are you? Do we have deep-seated enmity?"
The Red Skeleton replied, "Deep-seated enmity? Our relationship goes beyond that; come to your death." With that, a wave of red energy surged forth with a fierce intent to kill Bao Qing. Seeing the deadly strike approaching, Bao Qing stomped his feet and leaped into the air, narrowly avoiding the lethal energy. The Bridge Master's attack struck a nearby tree with a loud crash, shattering branches and scattering debris all around.
In mid-air, Bao Qing counterattacked with a powerful strike that sent forth an energy wave heavier than ten thousand pounds aimed at the Red Skeleton. The Bridge Master dared not meet it head-on and also leaped into the air to evade the attack. He then unleashed his signature move from his past as the Skeleton of Bone and Flesh—Blood Drinking and Flesh Eating—rushing towards Bao Qing with fury, determined to take his life. After fighting for so long, Bao Qing had only thirty percent of his Inner Strength left; however, facing such a deadly move could not be taken lightly. He had no choice but to expend all his remaining strength to counter this lethal technique. After executing his ultimate move, Bao Qing was severely injured and bleeding. The Bridge Master saw his chance and struck again, sending Bao Qing flying out of the Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge.
As the Red Skeleton pursued him, Bao Qing fell to the ground, unable to move. Seeing this, the Bridge Master said, "Iron-Faced Impartial, let me make your death clear." The Red Skeleton then released a deadly poison—the Laughing Step into Madness from the Tang Sect. Realizing what it was, Bao Qing said, "So it's you, Tang Bo Hu from the Martial Arts Tribunal; no wonder you harbor such deep hatred for me." Just as Bao Qing prepared to accept his fate, a strange wind swept through the area dispersing the poison and suddenly thick fog enveloped them. When the fog cleared, Bao Qing had vanished without a trace. Tang Bo Hu exclaimed in frustration, "Damn it! Someone saved him. Bao Qing, consider yourself lucky this time."
At this moment, Tang Bo Hu recalled his tragic past. When he had been recruited as a bodyguard for Wealthy Merchant Wang Fugui at Wulin Broadcasting Tower and was recognized by Yi Junsheng, he fled in panic. When pursued by martial artists to Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge, Tang Bo Hu had no choice but to enter this treacherous place to save himself. However, entering did not mark the end of his nightmares but rather the beginning of tragedy. Completely unfamiliar with Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge, Tang Bo Hu wandered aimlessly inside and faced relentless attacks from the Skeleton Army like everyone else. When he was drained of energy and strength, he could only allow the Skeletons to ravage his body. After layers of skin were torn away amidst excruciating pain that words could not describe, blood stained the bridge in a horrific scene as pieces of flesh were stripped away by the Skeletons.
Just when Tang Bo Hu should have met his end there, he was pushed off the bridge by a Skeleton. Under the influence of the Skeleton Elder's magic, Tang Bo Hu preserved his soul. The Skeleton Elder believed that this man possessed extraordinary martial bones capable of cultivating higher-level Skeleton martial arts and thus exerted great effort to enhance Tang Bo Hu's original skeleton. Each enhancement process subjected Tang Bo Hu's soul to relentless torment and suffering. After a month of transformation, Tang Bo Hu finally became a Red Skeleton and was appointed as the new Bridge Master of Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge under the recommendation of many elders. However, this Bridge Master held no real power; any significant decisions were still made by the elders. In reality, Tang Bo Hu was merely a puppet at their mercy. After a power struggle against them, Tang Bo Hu finally eliminated their influence and completely seized control over Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge. From then on, he could plot his revenge.
Now Tang Bo Hu was no longer the handsome man he once was; as a Red Skeleton now feared by ordinary people and regarded as a monster by martial artists who wished to eliminate him at all costs; those who studied magic wanted to capture him for research; doctors were overjoyed at seeing him. Once considered a handsome man who captivated countless girls' hearts—though he dismissed ordinary women—Murong Yaoxian became his target of pursuit. However, things took an unexpected turn after the Eastern Army invaded Central Plains Martial Arts World; everything changed for him. Tang Bo Hu even regretted not choosing an ordinary woman to marry back then; perhaps then he would not have faced such a series of misfortunes afterward. In this current environment, all Tang Bo Hu could do was seek revenge against those who had wronged him; it became his only purpose for existing in this world.
In Northern Martial Arts Beast Den today Ouyang Xiu and Liang Shanbo arrived together. Liang Shanbo immediately shouted for battle: "Monster! Come out and die!" At that moment came a lion's roar accompanied by immense energy that shattered the ground around them. Ouyang Xiu and others were injured by this force as it revealed itself—the Half Lion Man who served as second-in-command among Half-Orcs appeared silently before them without uttering a word and attacked Ouyang Xiu and others with its sharp claws. Caught off guard by its sudden assault, everyone suffered injuries from its strikes—each wound foreshadowing their lack of victory in this battle.
As everyone sustained injuries, Half Lion Man intended to eradicate them all with its signature move—Lion's Roar—causing violent air currents to swirl into a massive lion charging forward. Ouyang Xiu and others immediately launched their own techniques simultaneously in an attempt to block this lethal attack. Unfortunately for them due to their prior injuries combined with their significant disparity in strength after executing their ultimate moves Ouyang Xiu and others sustained even more wounds—all severely injured.
Seeing this outcome Half Lion Man declared: "One more move will send you all to reunite with Old Man Meng." With that Half Lion Man unleashed another palm strike intending to finish off all those who were already wounded. Just when everyone's lives hung in balance Yi Zhangzhi arrived just in time to neutralize Half Lion Man's killing blow with one strike. Upon seeing Yi Zhangzhi arrive Half Lion Man immediately retreated into Beast Den's underground cave disappearing without a trace.
Yi Zhangzhi addressed Ouyang Xiu and others: "You were too impulsive; recklessly attacking without understanding your enemy's true situation will only lead you to your deaths for nothing. Hurry back and tend to your injuries; I will handle matters regarding Half-Orcs."
Ouyang Xiu said, "Thank you for your life-saving act, we are leaving." With that, Ouyang Xiu and the others left Beast Den. Yi Zhangzhi, however, personally jumped into the cave beneath Beast Den to investigate. Upon entering the cave, Yi Zhangzhi encountered the same situation as Mengzi. When Yi Zhangzhi sensed the air was filled with a deadly poison, he immediately withdrew. Once outside, Yi Zhangzhi remarked, "The cave is filled with traps and deadly poison; it is not advisable to force our way in. It seems we will have to wait for the Half-Orc to come out in order to eliminate them."
After defeating Bao Qing, Red Skull Tang Bohu arrived at the Martial Arts Tribunal, which had already been occupied by the Skeleton Army. Numerous Skeletons bowed respectfully to Tang Bo Hu. Observing the half-human, half-skeleton figure of Jia Baoyu, he said, "Once a dashing figure, now reduced to this state—how pitiful! However, those who are pitiful must have their faults. You, Jia Baoyu, indulged in beauty everywhere; now you finally reap your just desserts. Hahaha! Seeing you brightens my mood considerably."
At that moment, a voice called out, "You are just laughing at someone else's misfortune; what is there to be happy about?" Tang Bo Hu turned around and sensed two figures approaching with increasingly familiar footsteps. He soon realized that one of them was his former cellmate and the one who exposed his identity at the Broadcast Tower, Bai Lian Yi Jun Sheng.
Yi Junsheng approached Jia Baoyu and said, "Isn't this the charming scholar who jumped off the Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge? Why do you only have half a body left? This sight is truly terrifying. And this Red Skeleton beside you must be the new Bridge Master."
Upon seeing Yi Junsheng, Tang Bo Hu was filled with rage and launched a swift attack with his bony claws. His current form was all due to this person before him, and he was determined to kill his enemy for revenge. Facing the attack from Skeleton, Yi Junsheng responded calmly, moving swiftly as their figures intertwined in a dazzling yet futile duel. The hatred of the Skeleton intensified as each strike aimed for life or death. Meanwhile, Yi Junsheng played along with life’s drama, retreating step by step while calling for help. The accompanying Reverse Head could no longer stand by and jumped into the fray to assist Yi Junsheng. At this moment, Tang Bo Hu signaled for Jia Baoyu to restrain Reverse Head, while he continued his assault on Yi Junsheng. Caught in a precarious situation, Yi Junsheng fought back while speaking: "Oh dear, Tang Bohu, why are you so stubborn? There are people who need your help."
Hearing this, Tang Bo Hu paused: "How do you know I am Tang Bo Hu? Who needs my help?"
Yi Junsheng replied, "Your voice has betrayed you. Although you've turned into bones and your appearance has changed completely, your voice remains unchanged. The moment I heard your voice, I recognized you as the long-missing wanted criminal of the Judicial Court, Tang Bohu. Moreover, you've directly occupied the Judicial Court, indicating a deep-seated hatred towards it. As for needing your help—have you forgotten about your former cellmates who were sentenced alongside you by the Judicial Court, Lin Cong and Lu Kui? They are still imprisoned within the court."
Tang Bo Hu said, "Those two have nothing to do with me; why should I rescue them?"
Yi Junsheng countered, "That is where you're mistaken. Those two have been locked up by that Iron-Faced Impartial for a long time and must harbor resentment. If you rescue them, they will become your allies in fighting against this common enemy, Bao Qing. As for me, I am also wanted by the Judicial Court. If it weren't for my brother's influence, I would have been imprisoned long ago. We should unite against our common enemy instead of fighting amongst ourselves."
After considering Yi Junsheng's words carefully and finding them reasonable, Tang Bo Hu agreed: "Alright, I will go release Lin Cong and the others." Thus, he and Yi Junsheng headed towards the prison to free their long-imprisoned comrades. When they arrived before Lin Cong and Lu Kui, who were terrified out of their wits upon seeing the skeletal form of Tang Bo Hu, Yi Junsheng quickly introduced him: "Do not be afraid; this skeleton is your former cellmate, Tang Bohu. By chance, he has become the master of the Snow Sea Human Bone Bridge. The current situation is that the Martial Arts Tribunal has been taken over by his skeleton army. However, our common enemy, Bao Qing, still roams free. Here comes Tang Bo Hu, intending to release you both so we can fight against him together."
Upon hearing this from Yi Junsheng, both men relaxed their tense bodies as they had nearly reached their breaking point moments earlier. Lin Cong said, "I see now; let us join forces against Bao Qing!"
