The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Ben Aoxiang faced off against the top expert of the Judicial Court, Zhan Zhao. Both displayed their skills, fighting to a standstill. Duanmu Chong fled towards Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors with Yi Zhangzhi, Huangfu Mingmo, and Qiu Yuxia in hot pursuit. Midway through his escape, two killers from the Black Design Society appeared to intercept him. Duanmu Chong exclaimed, "You think you two hounds can harm a tiger?"
Yao Li replied, "Unfortunately for you, that tiger has turned into a sickly cat." With that, the two killers drew their swords and swiftly attacked Duanmu Chong without giving him a chance to escape. Although Duanmu Chong was injured, he still had no trouble dealing with these ordinary killers from the Black Design Society. There were no probing moves; every strike from the killers aimed for his life. Duanmu Chong moved gracefully, evading their lethal attacks before unleashing two powerful palm strikes towards them. Injured Duanmu Chong finally reached Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors. The owner Dreamy Beauty personally welcomed him inside Eighteen Floors. Dreamy Beauty asked, "Duanmu Alliance Leader, why are you in such disarray? Were you being pursued? But that shouldn't be; who in today's martial world would dare chase you?"
Duanmu Chong replied, "Who else but Yi Zhangzhi and Huangfu Mingmo? Owner, we have a partnership; it is up to you now."
Dreamy Beauty said, "Of course! When an ally is in trouble, how could I stand by idly? Leave Yi Zhangzhi and his companions to me." She then approached Duanmu Chong.
Duanmu Chong said, "I knew you would lend me a helping hand; I appreciate it."
Dreamy Beauty responded, "It is but a matter; Duanmu Alliance Leader need not worry." After saying this, Dreamy Beauty made a shocking move—she struck Duanmu Chong with a palm attack. Caught off guard, Duanmu Chong was hit hard and immediately spat out blood as his body sustained further injury. Duanmu Chong exclaimed, "Dreamy Beauty! How could you betray me like this?"
Dreamy Beauty replied, "I have not betrayed you because my ally is Yi Zhangzhi. Killing you is merely resolving trouble for my ally; accept your fate!" She then launched a fierce assault on Duanmu Chong. Severely injured and unable to fight back effectively, he allowed Dreamy Beauty to land several blows on him until he was on the brink of collapse. Not wanting to die at Dreamy Beauty's hands just yet and disregarding his severe internal injuries, he gathered his energy for one last desperate strike against her before fleeing Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors. Dreamy Beauty dodged his energy attack and chased after him.
Yi Zhangzhi and his companions soon arrived at Smoke and Rain, Absolute Flower, Eighteen Floors. Dreamy Beauty called out to Yi Zhangzhi: "Yi Lang! I have successfully completed what Dreamy Consort asked me to do; the rest is up to you! Hahaha!"
Yi Zhangzhi said, "The host indeed knows how to assess the situation. Now that Duanmu Chong has escaped, if he survives, he will surely seek revenge on you. In that case, won't you feel like a thorn in your side? To remove this thorn, I hope you will join us in pursuing Duanmu Chong."

Moreover, it was Duanmu Chong himself who proposed to shave his head and become a monk; what reason did the Celibacy Master have to refuse someone who seemed to be inclined towards Buddha? The Celibacy Master respected Duanmu Chong's choice and began to shave his head. A moment later, wearing the monk's robe, Duanmu Chong had completely transformed into a monk. The Celibacy Master conferred upon him the Dharma name Jie Zhan. Monk Jie Zhan then sat down and began to strike the wooden fish while reciting Buddhist chants.
Yi Zhangzhi and the five others arrived at the outskirts of Yun Yin Temple in pursuit of Duanmu Chong. Yao Li said, "It seems Duanmu Chong has entered the temple; we should go in directly and drag him out."
Huangfu Mingmo replied, "This place is where monks practice; it would be inappropriate for us to enter casually and look for someone."
Yi Zhangzhi said, "Let me go in alone to take a look." He then entered Yun Yin Temple. Inside the temple, Yi Zhangzhi saw Duanmu Chong who had entered the monastic life and walked out. Once outside, Yi Zhangzhi told everyone, "From now on, there is no longer any existence of Duanmu Chong in this world."
Huangfu Mingmo said, "You mean Duanmu Chong has become a monk? How is that possible? Do you really believe in a survival tactic used by an ambitious person?"
Yi Zhangzhi replied, "I do not believe it; however, you know this place is a sacred site for Buddhist practice. We cannot kill here. If Duanmu Chong does not come out of the temple, how much can we do?"
Yao Li suggested, "Let me go in and kill him."
Qiu Yuxia said, "No! We should leave first. If Duanmu Chong intends to commit evil again, he will definitely come out of the temple. At that time, it will not be too late to punish him. Right now, the most important thing is to dismantle Martial Arts Sect so that Duanmu Chong loses his support; then he will be powerless."
Yi Zhangzhi agreed, "Autumn Maiden makes a good point. I will immediately unite everyone to attack Martial Arts Sect. I take my leave." With that, he vanished like a shadow.
Nightmare Demon returned to Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. Upon seeing Nightmare Demon, Shu Heng immediately approached and knelt down, saying, "Please, Demon, take me as your disciple. I want to learn superior martial arts and avenge my clan."
Nightmare Demon was puzzled and asked, "Avenge your clan? Who killed your clan? Why do you seek me as a master?"
Yi Junsheng replied, "Her clan was completely annihilated by the cursed Duanmu Chong, and you, Nightmare Demon, possess exceptional martial skills. Who else should she seek as a master?"
Nightmare Demon responded, "I do not accept disciples."
Yi Zhangzhi united with the members of the Martial Arts Tribunal and set off towards the Martial Arts Sect, intending to dismantle Duanmu Chong's forces. Meanwhile, those from the recently defeated Martial Arts Sect were recuperating, completely unaware of the impending crisis.
Tension filled the air within the Martial Bamboo Divine Domain. Shu Heng wished to become a disciple of Nightmare Demon, but Nightmare Demon outright refused. How will this apprenticeship end? With Yi Zhangzhi leading a large group preparing to dismantle the Martial Arts Sect, will he succeed?
