On top of Wudang Peak, Duanmu Chong led the Martial Arts Sect and others to surround the Taoist Sect tightly. Duanmu Chong said to Taiyi Daoist, " Taiyi Daoist, joining the Martial Arts Sect and accepting my leadership is your only way out."

Duanmu Chong said, "Stop with the nonsense. What you mean is that you do not wish to join the Martial Arts Sect. Come here, kill!" With a command, the Martial Arts Sect immediately attacked the members of the Taoist Sect, and a massacre began. Taiyi Daoist and Void Daoist teamed up against Duanmu Chong. Taiyi Daoist, as the leader of the Taoist Sect, was formidable, while Void Daoist was also exceptionally powerful. Duanmu Chong had a solid foundation with his title as Martial Saint. Xumi Daoist was one of the three foremost figures of the Taoist Sect and had profound cultivation; his movements revealed unparalleled might. Ben Aoxiang, chief disciple of the Martial Arts Sect, faced Xuanji Zi from the Taoist Sect. Ben Aoxiang's attacks were fierce and concealed deadly traps at every turn. Just as both sides were locked in fierce combat, Smoke and Rain, Flower of the Eighteen Floors' Master Dreamy Beauty led numerous disciples into battle, turning the tide overwhelmingly against them. Even Void Daoist, Xumi Daoist, and Xuanji Zi could not escape fate; after a bloody battle where their strength was depleted completely—following a strike from Sword Demon Tiedan’s sword energy—they fell in response to it; thus all members of the Taoist Sect were annihilated.
Today at Drunken Red Mansion Neighbor Confucius Academy held a literary duel where Loser Scholar Fan Buzhao along with All-Round Talent Zhuge Kongming and Yi Junsheng arrived at the scene. Yi Junsheng saw Fan Buzhao and said: "Oh! Fan Buzhao! You came to participate in this literary duel too? You are known as Loser Scholar; do you think you can win this Golden Brush?"
Fan Buzhao replied: "Don't underestimate me; I am determined to win this Golden Brush."
Fan Buzhao, Zhuge Kongming, and Yi Junsheng have all passed the preliminary round and successfully entered the finals. The judge and questioner for the finals is none other than Mengzi, the head of Confucius Academy.
