The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
Under Life and Death Peak, the various sects of the Central Plains officially faced off against the Eastern Army. Both sides were eager to fight, swords drawn and ready for battle, with conflict imminent. The Japanese vanguards Tang Bo Hu, Lin Cong, and Lu Kui, who had previously surrendered, quickly assessed the situation and concluded that Japan was now fighting alone with no chance of victory; this battle would undoubtedly end in defeat. Tang Bo Hu and the others immediately resolved to turn against their former allies, aiming their weapons at the Japanese forces. Tohjo Eiki, witnessing this scene, angrily exclaimed, "Despicable! Those who waver should be punished."
With a shout from Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism, the martial arts community launched into battle. Huangfu Mingmo faced Gongcun Jiro, seeking to avenge his previous defeat. Huangfu Mingmo showed no mercy with his sword, pressing forward relentlessly. Although Gongcun Jiro was a top swordsman from Japan, he struggled to contend with Huangfu Mingmo alone. Huangfu Mingmo's sword techniques fell like a gentle rain upon Gongcun Jiro, leaving his clothing torn in multiple places. Gongcun Jiro understood that to win, he needed to seize the moment; he then unleashed his dual sword technique for a rapid counterattack against Huangfu Mingmo. Huangfu Mingmo had no intention of fully defending himself; instead, he increased his attack speed and focused his energy to prepare for a qi sword strike. Seeing that he could not gain an advantage, Gongcun Jiro leaped into the air, striking with his dual swords and sending countless sparks flying towards Huangfu Mingmo. Ultimately, he executed a dual sword kill technique, unleashing two thunderous waves of sword energy that followed the sparks directly at Huangfu Mingmo. Determined to eliminate this detestable Japanese swordsman quickly, Huangfu Mingmo unleashed his signature move, One Sword Transforms into Nine Thousand. A massive qi sword formed from swirling air around him before dispersing into thousands of qi swords that surged toward Gongcun Jiro's attack. When their signature moves clashed, Huangfu Mingmo's power overwhelmed Gongcun Jiro's sword energy; Gongcun Jiro was pierced by hundreds of qi swords and instantly met his demise.
Qiu Yuxia faced Tuhui Garden, who combined ninjutsu with dual swords in an unending assault that left Qiu Yuxia struggling to respond. However, as a sword immortal, Qiu Yuxia was not easily defeated. After several moves with his sword techniques, eight qi swords surrounded Qiu Yuxia, preventing Tuhui Garden from closing in for an attack. At this moment, Tuhui Garden executed his dual sword technique to disperse two qi swords and then used earth escape techniques to appear before Qiu Yuxia for a swift dual sword assault. At this time, Qiu Yuxia turned his sword in hand; the remaining six qi swords began to spin and directly attacked Tuhui Garden. Tuhui Garden struggled to evade and sustained several cuts from the qi swords, leaving him severely injured and bleeding profusely. Ignoring his wounds, Tuhui Garden gathered all his inner strength; kneeling on one knee with both hands reversed, he unleashed his ultimate move—Tomb of Dual Swords—creating a massive vortex of air before him. Tuhui Garden slashed through the vortex with his blade; thousands of sword energies erupted forth towards Qiu Yuxia with lethal intent. Realizing this was a matter of life and death, Qiu Yuxia showed no mercy and decisively executed his ultimate move—One Sword Returns to One—summoning a qi sword that reached into the clouds and struck downwards with force to counter Tuhui Garden's sword energy. Tuhui Garden was sent flying dozens of feet away; just as he landed, Jing Ke from the Black Design Society emerged from hiding and used a dagger to unleash a wave of sword energy that severed Tuhui Garden's head from his body.
Zhuge Kongming, Du Fu, and Hua Mulan surrounded Matsui Yuichi; despite being three against one, Matsui Yuichi's exceptional swordsmanship and solid foundation made it difficult for them to gain any advantage. The battle reached a stalemate as both sides exchanged blows. At this moment, Ben Aoxiang from the Martial Arts Sect arrived with his disciples. He immediately joined in on the siege against Matsui Yuichi; now four against one shifted the tide dramatically against Matsui Yuichi. After several more exchanges, Matsui Yuichi was covered in wounds. Seeing that the Japanese invader was at his limit, Ben Aoxiang prepared to unleash his ultimate technique—Skyward Strike—to take down this Japanese foe once and for all. Zhuge Kongming and the others simultaneously unleashed their Qi Gong techniques against Matsui Yuichi as well. In this critical moment of life or death for Matsui Yuichi, he desperately attempted to defend himself but was too injured and outmatched; four powerful strikes broke through Matsui Yuichi's defenses and struck vital points directly; Matsui Yuichi died on the spot.
Sima Qian, Tao Yuanliang, and Ouyang Xiu surrounded Iichiro Itagaki; however, due to their weaker foundations compared to their opponent's strength, they struggled significantly in battle; signs of defeat were evident. Just when they were in crisis mode, the Time Master entered the fray just in time. Though ambitious, the Time Master showed no mercy against foreign invaders; he initiated an attack using Time Spear aimed directly at Iichiro Itagaki. Unfazed by this threat, Iichiro Itagaki countered with Blade Technique: Thousand Cuts in One Stroke; both sides momentarily matched each other before retreating several steps back. Sima Qian and his companions continued their attacks while Iichiro Itagaki utilized ninjutsu to maneuver between them skillfully. Realizing that continuing like this would lead nowhere good, the Time Master took out a line from his possession and sought an opportunity to ensnare Iichiro Itagaki so he could not escape detection. Just as both sides were locked in combat without resolution, Jing Ke from the Black Design Society struck again with a dagger attack that accurately hit Iichiro Itagaki's chest. Blood gushed forth as Iichiro Itagaki could no longer fight back; the Time Master swiftly delivered a palm strike that sent him off into oblivion.
Tang Bo Hu unleashed Tang Sect’s unique poison—Laughing Step into Madness—against the Japanese soldiers which poisoned many of them. Lin Cong and Lu Kui also fought valiantly against their enemies to avenge recent humiliations endured by their side. The determination of the martial arts community from the Central Plains to expel foreign invaders far exceeded any intentions of conquest held by Japanese soldiers; they fought more fiercely as casualties mounted among Japanese ranks who lost their will to continue fighting.
The main battlefield centered around Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism facing off against Tohjo Eiki; upon seeing Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism’s face, Tohjo Eiki felt puzzled. He asked Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism: "Who are you? Why do you look exactly like Nightmare Demon?"
Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism waved Dust Whisk and replied: "I remember that Demon met your end as a guest dying far from home."
Upon hearing this statement, Tohjo Eiki felt a chill run down his spine. However, since battle had commenced before him with an enemy present, there was no time left to ponder whether he was indeed Nightmare Demon; there was only one choice left—to fight! Tohjo Eiki took the initiative to strike first in order to test Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism’s foundation; Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism did not shy away but responded accordingly with palms meeting each other. As their palms connected, dust flew everywhere while the ground sank several inches beneath them as both retreated several steps back. Tohjo Eiki thought: This person’s foundation is not on par with Nightmare Demon; thus there is nothing much to fear.
Tohjo Eiki’s second move was his renowned technique—Razor Strike—instantly summoning winds that formed a massive razor-like force aimed directly at Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism. Recognizing this momentum could not be taken lightly, Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism invoked Daoist Name Technique: Tai Chi True Qi which manifested as Taiji imagery blocking Tohjo Eiki’s strike head-on during their first clash where earth resonated while sun and moon mourned together; Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism was pushed back several steps due to impact force.
Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism would not allow evil forces free rein; invoking Four Symbols Exterminate Evil unleashed tremendous power forming four symbols that threatened everything in its path towards Tohjo Eiki while simultaneously Tohjo Eiki executed Supreme Domination—a technique powerful enough to subdue demons and monsters alike—resulting in another clash where earth cracked for miles around as energies swept across vast areas causing both combatants to be thrown back while sustaining injuries.
At this moment came Gong Shang Jiao Zhi Yu—the headmaster of Awakening Sea Music Academy—who began singing Moon Reflected in Erquan upon arrival which generated formidable energy targeting Tohjo Eiki intending for him to meet his end right then and there! Injured already from previous encounters yet again struck by Moon Reflected in Erquan left Tohjo Eiki heavily wounded but misfortune compounded when hidden assassins Jing Ke and Yao Li from Black Design Society simultaneously launched attacks toward him catching him completely off guard leading him closer towards death’s door.
Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism then delivered another palm strike disabling Tohjo Eiki’s meridians before capturing him.
With trees fallen scattering monkeys away after Tohjo Eiki’s defeat leading many Japanese soldiers fleeing while some surrendered on site throwing down their weapons; members of Martial Arts Sect continued pursuing those who fled while Zhuge Kongming along with Sima Qian captured Tang Bo Hu along with Lin Cong and Lu Kui who had previously surrendered themselves during battle against Japan.
Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism declared: "Take the culprit Tohjo Eiki away towards Martial Arts Tribunal awaiting judgment."
Zhuge Kongming said, "Those who surrendered to Japan, such as Tang Bo Hu, should also be brought to the Judicial Court; this is the only way to do justice for the Martial Arts Community." Immediately, everyone took the Criminal to the Martial Arts Tribunal.
After expressing gratitude to the many who came to assist, Buddha's Mysterious Mechanism left.
Inside the Dreaming Medical Pavilion, Divine Doctor Zhang Chongxing was using acupuncture to treat the severely injured Murong Mulong. With swift movements, Divine Doctor inserted needles into various vital points on Murong Mulong's body. After a moment, smoke began to rise from Murong Mulong's head, and then he returned to calmness.
Sanwei Daoist asked, "Divine Doctor, how is the treatment going? Can he be cured?"
Zhang Chongqing shook his head and replied, "His injuries are too severe; I can only do my best. Whether he can be cured depends on fate."
Sanwei Daoist said, "You are the Divine Doctor; surely you don't want to give up your reputation?"
Zhang Chongqing responded, "What can a Divine Doctor do? His internal organs have all been severely damaged; it's a miracle he hasn't died yet. You all should leave; I will do my best to treat him."
After Sanwei Daoist and the others left, on their way back to Tongfu Inn, they heard that Japan had been defeated and that the Martial Arts Tribunal was about to hold a trial for the Criminal. Upon returning to Tongfu Inn, Sanwei Daoist spread the news to many in the Martial Arts Community.
Yi Junsheng said, "We must attend this trial; we absolutely cannot miss it."
The Martial Arts Sect led by Ben Aoxiang pursued those from Japan who had escaped from Life and Death Peak. Ben Aoxiang harbored a deep hatred for evil and was determined to eliminate all invaders from Japan. Moments later, dozens of corpses lay in the wilderness, all with their heads severed from their bodies. The invaders from Japan ultimately received their just deserts and died far from home.
Today, many from the Martial Arts Community gathered within the Martial Arts Tribunal. Suddenly, a voice announced, "Chief Justice Bao Qing - Iron-Faced Impartial - Bao Qing is in session." A tall man with dark skin emerged from the Inner Hall; this man was Chief Justice Bao Qing. Bao Qing took his seat, struck the gavel, and said, "Bring forth the Criminal Tohjo Eiki, Tang Bo Hu, Lin Cong, and Lu Kui."
Suspense filled the air. The Martial Arts Tribunal was about to judge Tohjo Eiki; what would be his fate? Would Tang Bo Hu and the others escape the judgment of Iron-Faced Impartial?
