Claire lowered her head, her mind racing. Mark's illusion whispered beside her, "Hehehe! Hurry up, Claire, you need to come up with an escape story for yourself, quickly! Quickly! Hurry up!" 0

Claire suddenly raised her head, tears welling in her eyes as she spoke with a trembling voice, "That... that day, when I was taking pictures of Mark in the bathroom, suddenly, two people burst in from behind me. I... I didn't know who they were... they were wearing... what do you call it, black hoods." 0

Jack furrowed his brow, listening carefully to Claire's account. "Two people? Wearing black hoods? Claire, can you tell me in detail what happened after they came in?" 0

Claire swallowed hard, trying to calm herself down. She knew this was her only chance; no matter how difficult it was, she had to speak. "After they came in, one of them pointed a gun at me while the other started beating Mark. I was so scared I couldn't move and didn't know what to do." 0

Jack nodded, signaling her to continue. "And then? Did they say anything to you?" 0

Claire closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and tears continued to fall. "They told me not to move, or they would kill me. They forced me to keep taking pictures, saying they wanted to document everything. I really didn't know what to do; I could only do as they said." 0

A flicker of doubt crossed Jack's eyes, but he knew he needed more information now. "Claire, these details are very important. Can you describe the features of those two people? Besides the black hoods, what other characteristics did they have?" 0

Claire struggled to recall, her voice still trembling. "They were wearing black clothes; I couldn't see any other features. Their voices were deep and terrifying. They kept threatening us, saying if we didn't obey, they would kill us." 0

Jack was very aware that Claire was lying again based on her testimony. However, he knew that fabricated lies would soon reveal themselves. He decided to continue guiding Claire in hopes of finding a flaw in her narrative. 0

"Okay... so you said two people suddenly burst into Mark's house, and one person beat Mark while you were held at gunpoint? Is that right?" Jack asked calmly, his gaze carrying a hint of skepticism. 0

Claire nodded, a flicker of unease crossing her eyes as she tried to maintain her composure. "Yes, that's what happened; I was really scared and didn't know what to do." 0

Jack frowned slightly and continued, "But it's clear that there are no signs of severe beating on Mark's body; Claire, this is completely different from what you said." 0

Claire's face instantly turned pale, her lips trembling slightly, clearly caught off guard by the situation. She struggled to conceal her fear and pressure, but it was overwhelming. 0

"I... I really don't remember," she said softly, her voice shaking and helpless. "So much happened that night. I only remember them threatening us, and then everything was chaotic..." 0

Jack looked at Claire, knowing he had caught her in a lie. He said coldly, "Claire, what we need is the complete truth, not your lies. If you continue to hide things, it will only get worse for you. You need to tell us what really happened that night." 0

Tears welled up in Claire's eyes again, filled with immense pain and despair. "I really don't know how to say it. I just wanted to protect my family..." 0

Jack took a deep breath, deciding to give her another chance. "Claire, we will do everything we can to protect you and your family, but you must help us find the truth. This is your only chance; don't waste it." 0

Jack asked, "And then what?" 0

Claire choked back tears, struggling to control her emotions as she continued with a trembling voice, "After those two broke in, they started arguing with Mark... It seemed to be about money. Suddenly, one of the men lunged into the bathtub and stabbed him with a knife..." 0

She paused for a moment, taking a deep breath, her eyes filled with fear and pain. "The other person... seemed to be a woman who held a gun to me. But then Mark suddenly fought back successfully, and that man fell in the bathroom. Mark kept telling me to run... run! I hit the woman behind me hard and ran upstairs, but I left Mark there." 0

Jack furrowed his brow, listening carefully to Claire's account while pondering whether her words were credible. "Claire, you said Mark fought back successfully and that man fell in the bathroom. So how did Mark die?" 0

Tears filled Claire's eyes again; her body trembled slightly as her voice carried helplessness and despair. "I don't know! I really don't know! I heard Mark shouting for me to run, so I ran upstairs with all my might, but when I looked back, he was already on the ground with blood everywhere. I didn't know what to do; I could only escape..." 0

Jack's gaze remained stern; he knew there were still many contradictions in Claire's words, but he also sensed her inner struggle and pain. "Claire, we need more details. Did that woman say anything to you? What did she say?" 0

Claire struggled to recall, her voice trembling as she said, "That woman just kept pointing the gun at me; she didn't say anything. I was so scared that I could only do as she instructed. I didn't know who she was or why they were doing this." 0

Jack lowered his head, shook it, then raised his eyes to meet Claire's gaze, speaking coldly, "Alright, according to you, how would they know where your family is? And why are there photos of a body being dragged on the camera? Why was the camera in the washing machine? Why didn't you call the police?" 0

The barrage of questions made Claire's heart race, but she still tried to maintain her composure, her eyes flickering with unease. "I... I couldn't stop worrying about Mark. I went back, and when I saw him, he was already dead in the bathtub." 0

She took a deep breath and continued, "Those two grabbed me and forced me to hand over my ID, then demanded that I help move the body..." 0

Jack's brow furrowed tighter, his tone laced with clear skepticism. "Claire, do you really expect us to believe this story? How would they know where your family is? And why would they want you to move the body? Do you really think these reasons can convince us?" 0

Tears welled up in Claire's eyes again, her voice trembling and helpless. "I don't know; I really don't know. They said they knew where my family was and even mentioned my sister's name. I was terrified and could only do what they said. They made me take those photos with the camera, saying it was to threaten me into silence. I truly didn't know what to do; I could only follow their orders." 0

Jack took a deep breath, trying to suppress his inner anger. He knew there were still many contradictions in Claire's words, but he also felt her struggle and pain. "Claire, we need more details. If you were truly threatened, you must tell us more so we can help you." 0

Claire nodded, a glimmer of determination flashing in her eyes. "Those two said if I dared to call the police, they would hurt my family. They forced me to put the camera in the washing machine, saying that would destroy the evidence. I really didn't know what to do; I could only listen to them." 0
