In a hotel near the city, Jiang Liang, Gao Wenbin, and five young men were having a lively time in a private room. After enjoying their meal and drinks, Jiang Liang took out a stack of cash and handed it to Gao Wenbin.
"Brothers, let's call it a night for now. Wenbin will take you all out for some fun later. Remember to come back here tomorrow night, and then..." Jiang Liang lowered his voice and gave them some instructions.
A day later, the warehouse of Taiping Apparel Company was filled with returned goods. There was no more space in the warehouse, so items were piled into the workshop. The workshop was completely shut down, and the workers were on leave.
Taiping Apparel's stock continued to plummet, and if this continued, they would face delisting. Lin Shihui and Jiang Guangming were still at a loss. They had considered approaching the mysterious boss behind the scenes but ultimately dismissed the idea.
The boss had made it clear that he wanted to acquire Dongsheng Company; now that Dongsheng Company had not been acquired, Taiping Apparel Company was facing bankruptcy instead. Given this situation, they dared not seek him out—doing so would only hasten their demise!
They could only pin their hopes on Jiang Liang. They hoped that Jiang Liang would successfully kidnap Jiang Chen and force him to back off, allowing Taiping Apparel Company to survive. If Jiang Liang failed, Jiang Guangming would be left in despair. Lin Shihui still had one last resort up his sleeve.
Jiang Liang's informants reported that Jiang Chen had gone to school. Good! Jiang Liang notified his underlings to act as soon as Jiang Chen finished classes.
For many people, it was an excruciating day. Finally, the school day ended, and Jiang Chen walked toward the school gate with the crowd.
Among the throng of students, Jiang Chen blended in well; he looked like an ordinary high school student.
"Jiang Chen, I want to invite you to dinner tonight, okay?" Gao Wenbin appeared in front of Jiang Chen, speaking quite politely.
Oh? The usually bullying Gao Wenbin wants to treat me to dinner? That's surprising!
After a moment of thought, Jiang Chen understood what was happening; it must be that Jiang Liang wanted something from him.
"Invite me to dinner? Why? I can't go!" Jiang Chen pretended to be wary and scared.
"Jiang Chen, don't be afraid! I know I haven't treated you well in the past. Brother Liang found out and gave me a good scolding for it; he told me to apologize to you! So I want to treat you to a meal as a formal apology!" Gao Wenbin put on a sincere expression.
So it really is related to Jiang Liang!
"Oh, so Brother Liang asked you to do this?" Jiang Chen still seemed skeptical.
"Is there any doubt? I didn't know your family had a special relationship with Brother Liang before. Now that I do, I feel particularly guilty about my previous attitude. So please give me a chance to apologize; I need to explain myself to Brother Liang!"
Seeing his insincere demeanor made Jiang Chen inwardly scoff.
"Alright! I'll go with you!" He wanted to see what tricks Gao Wenbin had up his sleeve! After all, he also wanted to settle scores with him!
"Please!" Gao Wenbin called for a taxi.
The taxi took the two of them to Yi Wei Xiang Restaurant. Gao Wenbin had just been here last night. The hotel was only 500 meters away from Xiaoshan Park.
"Why do we have to go so far just for a meal?" Jiang Chen seemed a bit apprehensive.

"It's fine; you don't know someone until you've had a disagreement!" Jiang Chen generously clinked glasses with him, and then they both downed their drinks in one go.
After putting down his glass, Gao Wenbin checked his phone and then gestured to Jiang Chen.
"Jiang Chen, sorry, I need to use the restroom!"
Hmph, already needing to go after just starting to drink?
"Go ahead; everyone has their needs; there's nothing to be embarrassed about."
As the door opened, five young men happened to walk by.
"Brother Bin, what brings you here? Oh? Treating a friend to a meal? Then invite us along too!"
"Sure, since we've run into Brothers, we should definitely eat together. We haven't started for long anyway!"
Five young men entered, including the two red-haired youths from the last time at Xiaoshan Park.
"Let me introduce you, this is my classmate and friend Jiang Chen!"
Gao Wenbin was no longer in a hurry and introduced Jiang Chen to the five young men. The former bullied classmate had now become a friend!
"Nice to meet you!"
The five young men cupped their hands in greeting to Jiang Chen, as if it was their first time meeting him.

The five young men took their seats; chairs and utensils were all ready for them.
"Brothers, I used to have some misunderstandings about Jiang Chen, so today I'm treating him to apologize! So please raise your glasses for me!"
"Oh, that's only natural. Brother Bin's friend is our friend, of course we should toast!"
The six of them, including Gao Wenbin, began taking turns to toast Jiang Chen!
"This won't do! With so many of you toasting, I'll get drunk!" Jiang Chen said awkwardly.
"Jiang Chen, we have to toast at least once around!" Gao Wenbin urged.
Jiang Chen had no choice but to accept their first round of toasts reluctantly.
Since he wasn't drunk yet, the second round of toasts began again; Jiang Chen pretended to decline but ultimately gave in and drank.
As the third round started, Jiang Chen was already showing signs of intoxication and seemed unaware of any further refusals; he accepted every drink!
After three rounds, Jiang Chen could naturally hold on no longer and collapsed onto the table.
Haha! Gao Wenbin smiled, but there was a fierce glint in his eyes.
"Come on, let's carry him into that room!"
The five young men worked together and lifted Jiang Chen into the abandoned room. Gao Wenbin sent a message to Jiang Liang.
