"Old Fan?"
When Yang Xiao recognized Fan Yao, he was somewhat bewildered.
What on earth is going on?
You say you are a mere prisoner, living in a bright single cell, with a soft couch provided in the cell. Even the prison uniform you wear is clean, and there is no visible sign of injury.
Next to the soft couch stands a small square table, on which sits a shiny, fragrant roast chicken, and the wine cup is filled with an enticing aroma.
This left Yang Xiao, who had naively believed that Fan Yao was being tortured and living a life worse than death, utterly dumbfounded.
Damn it! Fan Yao, you wouldn't have betrayed the working class—ugh, I mean, betrayed Manichaeism, would you?
Yang Xiao stormed into the cell, furious as he grabbed Fan Yao by the collar, nearly lifting him off the ground, and shouted, "You better explain yourself!"
What kind of prisoner lives such a comfortable life? Is this imprisonment or enjoyment?

"Don't try to change the subject; tell me what’s really going on!" Yang Xiao, now realizing the situation, didn’t give him a chance to divert the topic.
"Master Yang has come out!"
Fan Yao exclaimed in shock, "Could it be that the leader has also broken through to the Martial Arts Master Realm?"
After saying this, he immediately knelt down on the ground, "Heaven bless our Manichaeism, heaven bless our Manichaeism! After a hundred years of decline, our Manichaeism has finally produced another Martial Arts Grandmaster!"
Yang Xiao saw that he was trying to change the subject and simply raised his leg to kick him.
"Stop pretending!"

"New Leader?" Fan Yao wondered, shaking his head and saying, "Xiong Ba hasn't tortured me, but he wouldn't let anyone pass external news to me!"
"It's Master Yang's adopted son, Jiang Han!" Yang Xiao explained irritably.
Before Fan Yao could ask further, Jiang Han led a group of mid-level officials from Manichaeism over.
"Greetings, Leader!" Yang Xiao quickly performed a bow and then pressed Fan Yao's head down to the ground forcefully.
He also realized that Fan Yao must have been given a drug by Xiong Ba known as "Ten Tendons Softening Powder," rendering him unable to muster even a trace of internal energy.
"Are you Jiang Han? The New Leader of the Ming Cult?" Fan Yao wiped his eyes, still somewhat in disbelief. He searched through his fragmented memories but could not recall much about Jiang Han's childhood.
Jiang Han glanced at him with a calm expression and waved his hand, signaling the people behind him to leave. He then stepped into the cell.
"Master, I have subdued this traitor, Fan Yao. How should we deal with him? I await your orders!" Although the Manichaean brothers always advocated for brotherhood, there was no possibility of mercy for such a serious offense as heresy according to the teachings. The Master might even choose to demonstrate his mercy by staging a dramatic execution.
Jiang Han raised his hand, indicating for Yang Xiao to release Fan Yao.
"Yes, Master." Yang Xiao glanced at Jiang Han before stepping aside.
Jiang Han's face twitched as he hesitated for a while before recounting how Xiong Ba had extracted martial arts secrets from Fan Yao. In fact, Fan Yao had been in the Heavenly Union for over a year. Initially, Xiong Ba had indeed subjected Fan Yao to severe torture; it would not be an exaggeration to say he was brutally interrogated.
Fan Yao had endured those terrifying punishments until one day when Xiong Ba learned of a sinister method from somewhere...
