Most of the Bandits were blocked by the Soldiers, engaged in fierce battles outside the tents. Some managed to break through the Soldiers but were stopped by the Soldiers behind them, resulting in intense fighting, with bloodied corpses falling to the ground.
These bandits did not expect that these Soldiers were different from those in the past! Those Soldiers would flee at the sight of approaching bandits; even if they didn't run away, their combat ability was weak and they would be defeated quickly!
However, these Soldiers, upon seeing so many bandits, not only did not flee but charged forward with their Broadswords as if they were facing an enemy.
Moreover, there was a feeling that these Soldiers became stronger as they fought. More of them rushed out from the front, making the bandits feel a bit uneasy and hesitant to charge forward.
Only from the eastern direction did the bandits break in, and their killing intent was the strongest, led by their leader Chen Datian, a tall man with immense strength.
Ordinary Soldiers could not withstand even a single strike and would be knocked to the ground, then cut in half by him.
The Imperial Guards were relatively strong and could barely withstand one of his strikes, being pushed back several steps. Another strike would then split them in two, accompanied by heart-wrenching screams, leaving them motionless.
With his great strength, he pushed back the elite Imperial Guards continuously and got closer to them.
The men beside him were also robust and strong. Although they couldn't slice through the Imperial Guards with one blow, they could still cut down ordinary Imperial Guards in just a few moves. Indeed, they were Bandits!
Bandit Leader Chen Datian wore a strange smile. Although these Soldiers were formidable and faced the strongest batch of them, he understood one principle: to capture the leader first. As long as they killed the High Official among the Soldiers, chaos would ensue, making them easy prey.
He shouted, "Brothers, charge forward! These Soldiers aren't that tough; we've already killed quite a few. Rush over and kill that High Official in the White Robe! All the wealth and food will be shared among you! But that Great Beauty is mine! She will be my wife and let me enjoy her day and night!"
Holding a Broadsword over a meter long, its widest part was several centimeters thick; it was indeed very heavy.
Hearing this, the bandits felt invigorated and charged fiercely forward, forcing the Imperial Guards to retreat repeatedly; some could not hold their ground!
Qin Feng knew that the High Official referred to him; he was wearing a white robe and exuded an extraordinary presence. However, he was no weakling either—who would kill whom was still uncertain!
The nearby Imperial Guards could not stop Qin Feng; he even dared to try to take his wife! As the chief's wife, he was determined to kill him and use his head as a ball to kick!
They charged forward together, not being weaklings themselves, unwilling to be outdone by those bandits.
A few of the bandits were faster and managed to bypass some of the Imperial Guards, heading straight for Qin Feng, each wielding a Broadsword with sinister grins on their faces.
Qin Feng looked down on them, feeling that their speed was not impressive and their strength was lacking. They were just a bunch of peasants who only knew how to farm, daring to rebel.
His own speed and strength had increased significantly; since waking up, he felt more agile and could gauge their movements and strength accurately.
With one swift strike, he cut down the first man in line, severing his throat. The man fell to the ground with a strange laugh, dying without understanding how useless he truly was—just a peasant who could only farm.
Then the next two bandits came at him from either side, swinging their Broadswords.
Their faces were still twisted in grins, rough and dark-skinned, thinking they could kill him.
He bent his body down as one of the swords swung down from above but missed him entirely, leaving the foolish attackers unprepared.
Before they could bring their swords back down for another strike, he slashed upward at both of their legs.
He executed a perfect semicircular arc with his blade, cutting through their tendons. Blood sprayed out in bright red streams, still warm.
They let out heart-wrenching screams as they collapsed to the ground, unable to stand!
On their once grinning faces now appeared expressions of terror! Qin Feng had already swung his knife toward their necks, quickly dispatching both of them.
This greatly encouraged the nearby Imperial Guards. Qin Sir was a Civil Official and should not be using a sword, yet he managed to kill three bandits!
This showed how useless these bandits were; they were truly no match for them. They had come so suddenly that they hadn't been killed immediately, but now they became even more courageous, charging at the bandits and slaying them one by one on the ground.
Soon, the ground was stained red with blood, and a heavy smell of blood filled the air. Initially, this would have made Qin Feng feel uncomfortable, but now he felt at ease because most of it was the enemy's blood.
Bandit Leader Chen Datian did not expect that this High Official in a White Robe would be so formidable. However, he was still doomed to die. There was also a beautiful woman he had to capture, and he needed to take all the wealth and food with him.
With a sudden burst of strength, he severed the Broadsword of an Imperial Guard who was in the midst of battle! Then, his knife swung toward the guard's head, splitting it apart in a gruesome manner.
He then swung his knife at two approaching Imperial Guards; one was struck in the neck, and the other at the waist, both split in two. The screams were horrific as their bodies fell apart.
One man's head immediately flew off, blood gushing out and splattering onto Chen Datian's face! He became a headless corpse.
The other man's body was directly cut into two pieces! It fell to the ground from the waist down, blood staining the earth as he died.
Bandit Leader Chen Datian rushed toward Qin Feng. From his appearance, he was definitely a High Official! All these people were in military uniforms except for him; he wore relatively extravagant clothing.
He laughed maniacally, his body stained with bright red blood, and blood dripped from his knife onto the ground drop by drop, creating a terrifying scene.
Qin Feng also felt fear; this man had great strength. He never expected someone could split a person in half like that.
He had observed Chen Datian's attacking style earlier; it seemed erratic and mainly relied on brute force. As long as he could dodge it, there shouldn't be any problem!
Chen Datian shouted loudly: "You corrupt official! You must be just like them on ordinary days, only knowing how to plunder the people's wealth. Let me kill you and then sleep with your wife; it will be so satisfying to see you die without peace!"
He approached him and raised the long Broadsword, which was several dozen centimeters wide at its broadest point, swinging it toward his neck.
He moved quickly, noticing the trajectory of the blade coming down, and took the opportunity to dodge, causing the Broadsword to miss and leaving the Bandit Leader slightly off balance as he swayed to one side.
Seizing the chance, he grabbed his own Broadsword and aimed for the Bandit Leader's neck, thinking that this time he could finally take down this scoundrel.
The Bandit Leader had a grotesque appearance, with thick eyebrows and big eyes. Although tall, he looked oddly unattractive, like a creature that didn't belong anywhere. He even dared to covet his woman; he would make him his prey first!
When the blade was still several centimeters away from the Bandit Leader's neck, he thought he could really kill him. However, the Bandit Leader pulled back his Broadsword just in time to block Qin Feng's strike, swinging it back with force.
Qin Feng truly felt some strain! Was this person human or a beast? How could he possess such strength?
After holding out for a moment, he was pushed back. The Bandit Leader also appeared somewhat strained; perhaps caught off guard, he hadn't been able to exert his full strength and looked a bit flustered.
Chen Datian was genuinely furious. He raised his Broadsword high above his head, gripping it with both hands. The Bai Lian in front of him had nearly killed him; he absolutely could not afford to miss this time—he had to take him down.
His heart raced with fear; earlier he had wielded the Broadsword with one hand, which weighed at least ten pounds. Now using both hands meant that no one could withstand that kind of power!
As Chen Datian bared his teeth in anger, looking terrifyingly furious, he prepared to swing the Broadsword down.
Suddenly, a Broadsword over a meter long pierced through his neck. Blood gushed out like a fountain, even spilling from his mouth as he struggled to remain upright, swaying unsteadily.
He slowly turned his head to see who was behind him; each movement was laborious and slow.
Then, that over-a-meter-long Broadsword was yanked back out, making him even less stable as he swayed dangerously close to falling to the ground.
The knife suddenly rose, aimed at his thick neck. Then, gripping the hilt with both hands, it swung down towards his neck, and his head flew off like a giant pig's head.
Along with the head, bright red blood gushed out, and one could feel the heat of the scene; it was extremely bloody and brutal.
The once fierce Bandit Leader now resembled a dead chicken, a headless dead chicken at that. His hefty body fell to the ground with a thud, heavy as a stone.
The fountain-like blood quickly soaked the ground, flowing into a stream of red.
Qin Feng watched in astonishment, feeling a mix of fear and great joy; this formidable bandit had actually been killed!
The person was clad in black armor, with a black helmet on his head, and even his lower garments were black armor. It was none other than Imperial Guard Cavalry Commander Zhang Mu.
This man was truly remarkable, able to kill the Bandit Leader and sever that hefty head in one stroke.
The Long Sword in his hand was not ordinary either; it was longer than those of the Soldiers, resembling a miniature version of Guan Yu's Broadsword, yet more refined.
Blood dripped from the front of the Broadsword, still oozing from the corpse on the ground.
He said, "My apologies, Qin Sir, for arriving late to protect you! This Bandit Leader has been slain; he truly sought his own death, just a piece of rotten mud."
Qin Feng smiled and replied, "Brother Zhang Mu, no need for such formalities. You are the one who killed this Bandit Leader! His brute strength was like that of an ox; I could not handle him alone. Truly impressive martial skills—I'm in awe!"
His admiration was genuine; the swordplay was swift and precise—he was indeed an expert with the blade.
Zhang Mu laughed heartily. This Qin Sir really knew how to flatter. He said, "Actually, you share half the credit, Qin Sir. You managed to withstand this man's brute force; that's truly remarkable! I merely took advantage of the opportunity to slay him; it's not that impressive—just a bit of strategy."
"The Bandit Leader has been killed, and these bandits are like headless flies, no longer of much use!"
When the Bandit Leader was killed, the bandits became frightened and lost their will to fight! They panicked and fled outside!
But how could the Imperial Guards let them escape! After killing those Brothers, they surrounded the rest, each one being slain on the ground. They were just a bunch of farmers who dared to kill and rebel; they truly had a death wish.
The bandits from the three directions were only average; they had relied on their numbers to get this far. With more Imperial Guards charging out, they found themselves at a disadvantage.
The vast majority were slaughtered. They were the ones who had committed murder; this was what Soldiers were meant to do—eliminate threats to the people!
A few managed to escape amidst the chaos, but they posed no real threat; they were just a few bandits.
This was truly a great upheaval, with hundreds dead, most of whom were those disorganized bandits. Their bodies were covered in wounds, and blood had practically stained the ground red. They lay scattered about, their deaths brutal!
There were also some Soldiers among the dead, with several dozen lost. After all, they had been caught off guard, which led to such heavy casualties. It was truly heartbreaking and regrettable; they sacrificed themselves for the country!
