"You have been enslaved for hundreds of years; it is time for your liberation." Jiang Chen looked at the approaching Skeleton Legion, a faint smile appearing on his face as he extended his hand and pointed into the air. A visible ripple spread outwards.
The once furious Skeleton Legion, upon touching this ripple, froze in place as if their power had suddenly been cut off.
The Undead Knight witnessed this scene, black liquid shooting from its eye sockets. What was happening? The Undead Knight attempted to use its will again, but it found itself completely disconnected from the Skeleton Legion.
With a whoosh, the ripple expanded, and the motionless Skeleton Legion collapsed, bones scattering across the ground.
Dawson stood behind Jiang Chen, witnessing this spectacle firsthand. His confidence in the Undead Knight evaporated, and he only wanted to sneak away quietly. However, his trembling legs were no longer capable of running.
Not just Dawson; even the Undead Knight wished to jump into a coffin and pretend nothing had happened. Was this even human? With just a gentle flick, Jiang Chen had caused the Skeleton Legion to disintegrate. What kind of power was this?
"You... are you a god?" the Undead Knight stammered, its voice trembling slightly.
Jiang Chen did not respond; there was no point in exchanging words with an Undead. Qin Xiaoya's training was complete, and there was no need to keep this Undead Knight around.
With a flick of his finger, Jiang Chen sent a weak Spirit Fire flying towards the Undead Knight. The Undead Knight did not dare to underestimate it; seeing the Spirit Fire approach, it quickly grabbed a tombstone and hurled it at the flame. The Spirit Fire passed through the tombstone as if it were intangible, continuing its trajectory toward the Undead Knight.
Could it be just a bluff? What was so terrifying about this tiny flame? The Undead Knight thought to itself. After all, Qin Xiaoya's fire dragon had failed to harm it; how could this weak flicker be more powerful?
Lost in thought, the flame reached its hands. Without much consideration, the Undead Knight reached out to grasp it as if catching a firefly.
Looking at the weak flame in its hand, devoid of any heat, the Undead Knight sneered inwardly; indeed, it was just a show of strength.
But soon enough, the Undead Knight's calm demeanor shattered. The flame clung to its hand like a parasite and refused to be shaken off.
Suddenly, with a whoosh, the small flame surged violently, igniting along the Undead Knight's palm. In just one second, it completely consumed the Undead Knight, leaving nothing but ashes behind.
"Alright, that takes care of things. Let's go," Jiang Chen said casually. Killing the Undead Knight was as trivial to him as stepping on an ant.
"Young Master, what about this old man?" Qin Xiaoya asked as she looked at Dawson.
"Kill him," Jiang Chen replied nonchalantly. Dawson had harmed many innocent people; he deserved to die.
Dawson's face had turned completely pale; the Undead Knight had been his last trump card. He had initially felt confident but was now utterly dumbfounded.
It wasn't that the Undead Knight was too weak; rather, this Huaxia person was too strong. Throughout the encounter, Jiang Chen hadn't even moved his feet yet had obliterated the Undead Knight. This level of power could truly be called divine.
Seeing that they intended to kill him, Dawson hesitated for barely a moment before kneeling on the ground and bowing deeply to Qin Xiaoya and Jiang Chen.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dawson kowtowed fervently, his sincerity evident.
“Miss Qin, please don’t kill me. I’m willing to exchange my life for the treasures of my family,” Dawson pleaded.
“We have no interest in your treasures. You must die for me to feel at ease,” Qin Xiaoya replied coldly.
“Right, right! I remember now, Miss Qin. The bronze artifact you showed me earlier—I think I’ve seen it before,” Dawson said quickly, his mind racing.
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Qin Xiaoya lowered her hand that had been raised to strike.
“Where did you see it?” Although she suspected that Dawson was merely using this as an excuse to save himself, she didn’t want to miss any information regarding the Devouring Heaven Bottle.
“I have indeed seen it, but it was many years ago. I can’t recall the specifics right now. Miss Qin, I’m still quite shaken from today’s events. Could you allow me a few days to gather my thoughts? I’m sure I’ll remember,” Dawson said earnestly.
Qin Xiaoya turned to Jiang Chen.
“Let him rest for a few days and think it over,” Jiang Chen nodded. In his eyes, Dawson Caymanwei’s life was worth little; whether he lived or died was merely a matter of Jiang Chen’s whim.
“My Young Master has given you a chance. If you can provide useful information, we may spare you. But if you dare to deceive us, you know what will happen next,” Qin Xiaoya warned coldly.
“I understand, I understand,” Dawson nodded vigorously. No matter what, he just wanted to save his life for now; he would deal with the details later.
After leaving the underground tomb, Jiang Chen looked at the luxurious Kaimanwei Family villa and suddenly stopped. He turned to Qin Xiaoya and said, “Make sure to send someone to confiscate all the treasures of the Kaimanwei Family and return them to their rightful owners.”
“Understood, Young Master. However, some treasures no longer have owners and will be difficult to handle. Actually, I have a suggestion: these artifacts are witnesses of human civilization. Why don’t we establish a museum and display all these treasures for the public?” Qin Xiaoya proposed.
“Good idea. Let’s do as you suggested,” Jiang Chen nodded in agreement; it was indeed a great suggestion.
