Yang Yuxin lowered her head in deep thought, trying hard to recall something. Qin Xiaoya watched from the side, holding Yang Yuxin's hand and giving her an encouraging look. Sometimes, a friend's encouragement can be quite powerful.
It seemed that Yang Yuxin remembered something.

"Ryan? Is he the handsome guy you've always talked about?" Qin Xiaoya asked as well.
Yang Yuxin nodded sheepishly.
"Come on, didn't you say last year that you broke up with him because he cheated? How come you're back together now?" Qin Xiaoya exclaimed, unable to contain her frustration.
"Two months ago, he apologized to me, and I forgave him," Yang Yuxin said awkwardly.
"Yang Yuxin, you really have no principles! Just because he's good-looking?" Qin Xiaoya frowned and strongly criticized her.
Yang Yuxin fell silent, tacitly acknowledging that Ryan was indeed very handsome; otherwise, she wouldn't have been so infatuated with him.
A few years ago, Yang Yuxin's family had called her back from the United States for blind dates. The Yang Family naturally preferred to find a marriage partner for her in Huaxia. However, Yang Yuxin never found any of the suitors arranged by her family appealing. Initially, her family thought she had high standards; after all, her friend Qin Xiaoya was an example. Qin Xiaoya's eyes were filled with resentment as she looked at Yang Yuxin with disappointment. The actions of her childhood friend made her extremely uncomfortable.
To lose one's principles for a so-called handsome guy—honestly speaking, Qin Xiaoya looked down on such women.
"Yang Yuxin, if you're going to be someone without principles like this, I would be ashamed to call you my friend," Qin Xiaoya said with a darkened expression.
"Qin Xiaoya, I... I was wrong, but Ryan really apologized sincerely that day, and he swore to the heavens that if he betrayed me, he would not have a good end. So I forgave him," Yang Yuxin hurriedly explained.
"Ah, Yang Yuxin, why won't you listen to my advice? Do you think Mom doesn't want you to be with Ryan just because he's a foreigner? I'm not that prejudiced. Yang Yuxin's father wore a gloomy expression. With Jiang Chen and Qin Xiaoya present, and considering his daughter had just recovered from a serious illness, he held back his words.

Yang Yuxin felt conflicted, hesitating before finally continuing, "Ryan's uncle has many ancient artifacts at home. That day, their family was holding an ancient ceremony. Ryan said that only after undergoing this ritual could I gain their family's recognition. During the ceremony, I became the center of attention. They applied a special paint on me and surrounded me, cheering and dancing. I didn’t know what they were doing; at that moment, I felt nervous, excited, and curious all at once. Throughout the entire ceremony, I was in an ecstatic state. After it ended, we had dinner and chatted without any issues; I didn't feel uncomfortable at all."
"This was the only strange thing I've experienced in the past few months. Other than this event, my life has been quite ordinary," Yang Yuxin added.
