After returning home, I met with Yu Chao. She sat in the café, looking somewhat haggard.
She looked at me and said softly, "Li Wan, I called you out today because I wanted to talk about my feelings."
I nodded slightly. "Go ahead."
Yu Chao sighed. "I broke up with Cheng Wu."
I was taken aback, feeling a bit surprised. Wasn't Cheng Wu saying they were still friends? Why was Yu Chao saying they had broken up?
After a moment of silence, I asked, "Can you tell me why?"
Yu Chao's eyes were slightly red. "I'm just too tired."
"I really don't have the time or energy for a relationship right now."
"I want to focus on my work, so I have to give up on love for now."
I sighed. "I understand."
"It's just that I feel it's quite a pity."
Yu Chao wiped her tears. "There's nothing to be sorry about."
"In today's society, love isn't the most important thing."
"I don't want my personal issues to affect my work."
I nodded in agreement. "I understand."
"But I think you still need a stable relationship."
"After all, love and career are not in conflict."
Yu Chao smiled,

I looked at her, feeling a bit helpless.

In the evening, I met Xu Qiang.
He took me to a nearby park.
I sat on a bench while he squatted in front of me, looking up at me.
His eyes sparkled like shining stars.
He smiled and asked,
"Why aren't you saying anything?"
I lowered my gaze to him, feeling a bit conflicted inside.
In truth, I really wanted to express my feelings to him.
But I didn't dare to.
I was afraid he would be disappointed, afraid he would think I didn't cherish his feelings.
I was even more afraid that we would miss our chance because of this.
I sighed and said,
"Xu Qiang, I..."
Xu Qiang smiled again,
"I know what you're worried about."
"You don't have to feel pressured; just do what you think is right."
"No matter how you decide, I'll support you."
Hearing his words warmed my heart.
I reached out and touched his hair.
His hair was soft and felt pleasant to the touch.
He squinted his eyes, resembling a little cat.
I couldn't help but chuckle,
"Xu Qiang, thank you."
He lifted his gaze to look at me,
"What are you thanking me for?"
I replied with a smile, "Thank you for understanding me."
He took my hand and kissed it gently.
"Fool, there's no need to be polite with me."

A few days later, Xu Qiang invited me to a barbecue gathering.
When I arrived, I discovered that Li Xun and Lin Ming were also there.
Lin Ming and Liu Lu were holding hands, looking very sweet together.
Seeing this, Li Xun exclaimed, "Wow, when did you two get together?"
Lin Ming smiled and said, "Not long ago."
Li Xun playfully punched him, "Well done, you little rascal, hiding it so well."
Liu Lu laughed and added, "I didn't expect it either."
"He used to completely ignore me, but recently he started pursuing me fiercely."
"I really couldn't handle it at first."
Lin Ming scratched his head awkwardly, "I was just too timid before."
"Now I understand clearly, if you like someone, you should bravely pursue them."
Liu Lu looked at him, her eyes filled with happiness.
Li Xun sighed, "Ah, one by one, you all have found partners, and I'm left here all alone."
I smiled and said, "What are you afraid of? You still have me, right?"
Li Xun waved his hand dismissively, "Oh please. You have Xu Qiang now; there's no room for me."
I paused for a moment and turned to look at Xu Qiang.
He was gazing at me with gentle eyes.
My cheeks flushed slightly, and I averted my gaze.
The few of us sat together, eating and chatting, feeling very happy.
But to my surprise, Xu Qiang didn't seem to have much of an appetite.
He put down his chopsticks after only a few bites.
I quietly asked, "Why aren't you eating?"
He smiled lightly, "I'm not very hungry."
"You should eat more."
I nodded and continued eating.
Yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that Xu Qiang's mood seemed a bit low.
After the gathering, we sat on the sofa chatting.
Xu Qiang looked at Li Xun and Lin Ming and slowly said, "In a couple of days, I need to go out for a while."
Li Xun asked, "Where are you going?"
"Where are you going?" Xu Qiang replied, "Out of town."
Lin Ming frowned. "What for?"
Xu Qiang tugged at the corner of his mouth. "To learn car maintenance."
At this, everyone was taken aback.
Li Xun and Lin Ming exchanged a glance, their expressions heavy.
Liu Lu sighed. "Xu Qiang, have you really made up your mind?"
Xu Qiang nodded. "Yes."
"I've thought about it for a long time; this is my only choice."
Li Xun patted his shoulder. "Brother, good luck. No matter what decision you make, we support you."
Lin Ming chimed in, "Yeah, we will always support you."
Xu Qiang smiled. "Thank you all."
That night, Xu Qiang didn't tell me about his plans to leave. He didn't mention the reason or when he would return. I didn't even know when he would come back. My heart was filled with unease.
