After processing the divine liquid and essence, the cave revealed its original form. Looking at the cave's appearance, Mo Wen suddenly realized that the cave where he had previously discovered the blood crystal was formed after a Lava Spirit's death. The only difference was that the fire essence within that cave had long since dissipated. Comparing the two, he couldn't help but marvel at the wonders of the world. He had initially thought that Lava Spirits should have shells similar to oysters, but in reality, they did not. The Law of Power within the Beast Cores was refined into fire essence, which protected their core sphere inside. By the time the two finished dealing with the divine liquid and essence, the inner membrane had completely dissipated, leaving them unable to determine what material it was made of.
If he and Xiao Hei hadn't been drawn over, this Lava Spirit might have survived for many more years until it died and formed a hollow island like that one. The divine liquid within it might have crystallized under high temperatures.
"What a pity! That guy didn't have any meat; otherwise, I could have tasted what Chimera meat is like," Xiao Hei sighed from the bow of the ship. It seemed that his thoughts were always centered around whether something was edible. Whenever Mo Wen shared knowledge about Chimeras, Xiao Hei's focus invariably circled back to "Can it be eaten?"
"Look at you now; you hardly resemble a Divine Beast anymore. If your master saw you like this, he would definitely kick you out." Xiao Hei had grown into a round ball shape, plump and rotund. At first glance from the bow of the ship, one might think a fluffy ball was placed there. "Haha! Alright then, you be well-rounded. At this rate, you won't need to walk anymore; just curl up your legs and roll forward!" Mo Wen couldn't help but laugh heartily at Xiao Hei's appearance.
"Don't worry; I'll grow up! My master told me that when I grow up, I'll be handsome and powerful." He brushed off his leader's teasing; as long as he felt comfortable, that was all that mattered.
"Okay then, let me tell you some bad news: you won't be able to eat hot pot anymore."
"Boss, are you cutting back on this Divine Beast's rations?" Upon hearing he wouldn't be able to eat hot pot anymore, Xiao Hei immediately became unhappy.
"No, it's because we're out of water," Mo Wen shook his head. They indeed had run out of water; originally they could have lasted longer, but Xiao Hei's frequent hot pot cravings naturally consumed their water supply quickly.
"Boss, does that mean if we find water, we can continue eating hot pot?" As soon as he understood that it was due to a lack of water that they couldn't have hot pot, he quickly connected the dots.
