"Big fool, those legs are not bad; you run pretty fast!" Shou Gui saw Liu San suddenly bisected, and before he could recover from his shock, he felt his own legs had already left his body.
"You..." Looking at his two brothers, who had been at an advantage but were now instantly incapacitated, Gong's triumphant smile froze on his face.
"Alright, now no one is here to disturb us." With a kick, he sent Shou Gui and Liu San aside and swiftly moved to the giant rock where Xiao Hei stood. At that moment, apart from the net, there was no sign of Xiao Hei.
"Ah! What have you done?" The sharp pain in his mind brought Gong back to reality.
"Well, nice net; it should be good for catching fish," Mo Wen remarked as he examined the net in his hands before storing it in his storage bag.
To be able to instantly sever a Treasure he had already refined—what Realm is this person from? It can't be... No way! This is the rule of the underground world; those above the Cultivator level cannot enter. How did the second and third die? Gong dared not think further and, disregarding the pain in his mind, turned to flee.
"Tsk tsk! Running just like that? Do you think I'm just a decoration?" With one hand gripping his sword, Mo Wen flashed forward in pursuit.
"Kid, don’t push me too hard!" Feeling the pursuer closing in, Gong quickened his pace.
"What are you afraid of? Go ahead and show me how desperate you can get, you coward! I forgot to tell you; my style is to leave no future troubles." Mo Wen swung his sword down toward Gong's neck. If it struck true, it would surely split him in half. However, Mo Wen knew this person was not easy to kill; this strike was merely to force him to stop.
"You dare kill me? Aren't you afraid of the Gong Family's revenge?" Gong Gan lay on the ground, utterly exhausted. The person before him had several chances to kill him but chose instead to torment him until he could barely move. Now he simply closed his eyes.
"The Gong Family? Afraid? Of course I'm afraid; you really scared me," Mo Wen replied with a mocking look at Gong Gan.
"Then why don't you let me go? I promise I won't seek revenge once I'm out." Hearing Mo Wen's response, Gong Gan immediately opened his eyes as if he saw a glimmer of hope shining upon him.
"Alright, your mission is complete; you can go join your two brothers now." With a swift motion, Mo Wen kicked Gong Gan's head into the rolling Lava below.
Standing on a stone at the mountain's edge and watching the two below, Xiao Hei felt puzzled. To him, they seemed like madmen—one chasing while the other fled, occasionally stopping to fight. Several times they ventured deeper into the sea of Lava but always returned after a short while. It seemed there were moments when escape was possible for the one fleeing.
If Gong Gan knew Xiao Hei's thoughts, he would surely be infuriated. If he had a chance to escape, he would have done so long ago. Why return repeatedly? Each time he plunged into the Lava in hopes of shaking off his relentless pursuer but found himself forced back again. Unable to fight back or escape left Gong Gan feeling incredibly frustrated; at the moment of losing his life, he even felt a sense of relief.
Looking at Gong Gan's headless corpse on the ground, Mo Wen let out a long breath. Today was the first time he had taken a life.
