"Third Brother, go meet him, but don't hurt that little beast," Boss Gong said, momentarily taken aback. He hadn't expected Mo Wen to act so swiftly when they had been caught off guard just moments before. Liu San, receiving the leader's order, drew his blade and prepared to charge. He was a straightforward man; his earlier conversation with Mo Wen had merely been a test to see if the opponent was worth killing. Otherwise, he wouldn't have wasted time like Boss Gong.
"Wait!" Mo Wen raised his hand to signal Liu San to stop.
"Kid, do you have any last words?" Liu San was momentarily flustered by Mo Wen's sudden action, his momentum abruptly halted, causing him internal injury.
"You reckless fool! Can't you see I'm not ready yet?" Mo Wen retorted, drawing his own knife and holding it up. "Come on!"
"Kid, you can still agree to Boss Gong's terms!" Liu San charged forward but was interrupted again. "What now?" Liu San's eyes nearly sparked with anger from being interrupted repeatedly.
"I think the three of you should come at me together to avoid any hassle."
"No one has ever forced my three brothers to fight at once! Prepare to meet your end!" Liu San decided that no matter what tricks the dirty kid had up his sleeve, he wouldn't stop this time. With that, he swung his large blade and leaped into the air, the Law of Power enveloping his weapon as he brought it crashing down towards Mo Wen. He aimed to crush the kid in one blow, wishing he could split him in half to vent his fury.
"Tsk tsk! Not bad; it looks quite spectacular. I wonder how effective it is," Mo Wen said calmly as he raised his knife to block the flaming blade descending towards him.
Clang! The two blades collided, and Liu San landed on the ground, staggering back a few steps from the impact. Meanwhile, Mo Wen resumed his previous relaxed demeanor as if that powerful strike hadn't affected him at all.
"Sigh! Is that all you've got?" He looked at his own blade with a hint of disappointment over Liu San's attack. Boss Gong, who had been watching from a distance while fanning himself, straightened up upon seeing the outcome of their clash. He put away his fan and glanced at the thin man beside him. The thin man nodded and drew his sword as he approached the two fighters.
"Reckless man, your backup has arrived. I told you to let all three of you come at me together," Mo Wen said, nodding towards Liu San's back to indicate that help was on the way. Liu San understood it was the thin man coming up behind him. Although he was reluctant for the thin man to join the fray, as someone ruthless by nature, killing the opponent was paramount.
"Hey! Why are you so unreasonable?" Although he had been keeping an eye on their movements, Mo Wen was taken aback by the thin man's direct approach. The thin man ignored Mo Wen entirely and quickened his pace until he became a blur, thrusting his sword toward Mo Wen's throat. Not far away, Liu San followed suit and gathered his energy as well; while Mo Wen could handle one person easily alone, two required caution—especially since this sword-wielding fool practiced the Speed Principle, making him a difficult opponent for any swordsman.
Clang! Clang! Clash! The three engaged in battle amidst a flurry of dust kicked up from the ground that had already been softened by Xiao Hei's earlier breakthrough. The swirling dust did not affect the spectators nearby; Boss Gong remained standing still while Xiao Hei retreated further back onto a large rock that had been blasted out of the ground, watching the fight unfold through the haze.
