In just a few moments, Bird Uncle had pulled out bundles of cash from the Ruili Hermes. There were a total of nine bundles, which he handed to Xiao Hei. Xiao Hei tapped the entire stack on a stone, expressing his gratitude to it, and then waved his hand, calling over a girl who was sitting on the ground behind them. The girl stood up to receive the money, deftly counting it.
"I'll transfer it to you," Mr. Xu quickly said.
"That's fine, no problem. Mr. Xu, look here..." Bird Uncle pointed at the stone.
He was indicating a subtle protrusion on the stone that was not easily noticeable. "Did you see the Color Python?" Bird Uncle turned to Mr. Xu and asked.
"This kind of protrusion is what we call a python in the industry. If you see color, we refer to it as the Tail end of the jade rough. In this case, the Color Python runs through the entire stone; this is a Jade belt entwined around it. There's a high probability that beneath this band lies a color line, and it might run throughout."
Mr. Xu and I listened intently when Xiao Hei interrupted him: "Boss, we've counted the money; are you going to cut this piece?"
Upon hearing this, Mr. Xu immediately perked up.
"Cut it!"
"You see, let's cut parallel to this Mamba Belt and slice it in half; how does that sound?"
Bird Uncle pondered for a moment. I could sense he already had an answer; this pause was merely a polite pretense of thought. After a brief moment, Bird Uncle said, "That's not quite right. Xu Ge, listen to me; let's cut vertically through the Mamba Belt at one-third of its length and take off a lid first to take a look."
"Alright, I'll listen to you!"
A group of people arrived at Xiao Hei's place next to the cutting machine. Xiao Hei opened the machine cover, secured the stone, and adjusted the blade under Bird Uncle's guidance before starting the machine.
Hearing the roaring sound of the stone being cut, many onlookers gathered around to watch. It was evident that Mr. Xu, who had been calm when they first met, was now a bit more excited. For him, ninety thousand yuan wasn't a big deal; he didn't mind spending it. However, when faced with the thrill of the unknown, it was natural for one's heart to race.

As the machine suddenly stopped roaring, Xiao Hei rushed over in the first second, lifted the cover, and shouted while holding his forehead, "Oh my god!" This phrase is a translation of the Burmese expression "Oh my god."
Next up was Bird Uncle, who immediately broke into a satisfied smile upon seeing the stone. Mr. Xu and I also approached the machine. There were two pieces of stone, one large and one small. Although both were grayish-white and dull, each had a vibrant green line running through the middle—deeply saturated and rich in color, belonging to the most expensive "Imperial Green." When the flashlight shone on it, it was impossible to see beneath; all that emerged was a swirl of green light, which looked stunning.
The green line was quite valuable.
"Awesome, Old Bird! This has definitely appreciated!" Mr. Xu's face lit up with joy.
Bird Uncle replied, "Appreciated, and significantly! This is genuine Imperial Green!"
"I think this green part has better quality than the surrounding areas," someone remarked.
"Exactly! This person is like a dragon; wherever they go, there’s water. Exceptional places often elevate one's status."
"Is this green line wide enough to make a bracelet?"
"That depends," Bird Uncle chuckled. "If the color extends uniformly without any cracks, then yes. A fully colored bracelet could be worth at least one million."
Mr. Xu cleared his throat and straightened his back, likely preparing to express his gratitude to Bird Uncle and say something about treating everyone to a meal. At that moment, a bystander in blue reached out and tapped him on the shoulder, signaling for Mr. Xu to step aside for a word. The two of them walked a few steps away, and after just a few words from the man in blue, the pure joy on Mr. Xu's face gradually faded, replaced by uncertainty as he returned.
He quietly asked Bird Uncle, "Someone offered to buy my stone for 340,000..."
Bird Uncle replied, "Sell it! It's wise to take advantage of the situation while you can."
"But what if I cut it one more time and find it’s all green underneath? That could mean a bracelet worth over a million!"

"At least a million."
"And if I cut it all the way through? What’s the worst case scenario for how much I could still get back?"
"The green on the surface has some value, but it won’t cover your costs."
Mr. Xu fell into the kind of deep contemplation that many stone gamblers experience.
