Xuan Yang showcased remarkable strength in the Puppet Sect's trial grounds, successfully passing the test and becoming the center of attention.
After the trial, a sense of accomplishment filled him; however, it was soon overshadowed by jealousy and hostility.
"Hmph, that useless one actually passed the trial. How ridiculous!" a petite female disciple said coldly, disdain flashing in her eyes.
Her name was Li Xue, recognized as a beauty within the sect, her strength not to be underestimated. Yet, she was filled with dissatisfaction over Xuan Yang's rise.
"Exactly! Why does he get all the attention while we are ignored?" another female disciple chimed in, her face full of indignation.
Qu Si Yang quietly observed from the side, her concern for Xuan Yang deepening.
She knew that while Xuan Yang's strength was formidable, in this competitive sect, jealousy and hostility could brew danger at any moment.
"Don't be like that; Xuan Yang is just working hard," Qu Si Yang attempted to defend him, but her voice seemed insignificant among the group of female disciples.
"You make it sound easy. Do you want to be mocked alongside him?" Li Xue sneered, a hint of malice flashing in her eyes.
At that moment, Xuan Yang approached and sensed that something was off in the atmosphere. He frowned slightly, feeling a sense of wariness within.
"What are you talking about?" Xuan Yang's voice carried a hint of displeasure as his gaze swept over the female disciples, sensing an undercurrent of hostility.
"Nothing much, just discussing you," Li Xue replied with a smirk, her eyes glinting with provocation.
"If you think you're capable, then come and try!" Xuan Yang retorted defiantly, a spark of determination igniting within him.
He knew he could not be defeated by their jealous glares.
"Alright then, let's have a match!" Li Xue challenged, excitement gleaming in her eyes.
"I don't want to waste time with you," Xuan Yang said coldly, contemplating how to resolve this crisis.
"Are you afraid?" Li Xue's voice cut through the air like a sharp knife, piercing deep into Xuan Yang's heart.
"I'm not afraid; I just think you're not worth my serious attention," Xuan Yang replied firmly, his voice strong and resolute, as if declaring his stance.
"You useless fool, how arrogant!" Li Xue seethed with anger, vowing silently to make Xuan Yang pay for his insolence.
At that moment, the Master of the sect approached, his gaze piercing as he surveyed the disciples around him.
His presence commanded immediate silence among the crowd.
"What is going on?" The Master's voice boomed like thunder, intimidating everyone present.
"Master, Xuan Yang is provoking us!" Li Xue quickly pointed her finger at Xuan Yang, her eyes glinting with malice.
"I did not provoke anyone; I merely wish to maintain my dignity," Xuan Yang coldly responded, internally strategizing how to handle the situation ahead.
"You are all disciples of this sect and should stand united rather than fight amongst yourselves," the Master's authoritative tone left no room for argument.
"Yes, Master," everyone replied in unison, though each was secretly calculating their next move.
"Xuan Yang, your strength has impressed me, but within the sect, strength is not the only criterion," the Master's gaze settled on Xuan Yang, a hint of appreciation in his tone.
"I understand," Xuan Yang nodded slightly, feeling grateful for the Master's support.
"However, Li Xue, you must also realize that jealousy and hostility will only lead to your own downfall," the Master's eyes pierced through Li Xue like a sword.
"Yes, Master, I will be careful," Li Xue replied, feeling unwilling but daring not to argue further.
With the arrival of Master, the atmosphere eased slightly, but Xuan Yang knew well that the storm was far from over. Li Xue and her companions were still scheming in the shadows.
"You need to be cautious around them; they won't let you off easily," Qu Si Yang whispered from the side, concern flickering in his eyes.
"I know, I'll be careful," Xuan Yang replied with a slight smile, secretly contemplating how to face the challenges ahead.
Days later, Xuan Yang gradually adapted to his new life in the sect. However, Li Xue and her companions continued to suppress him in secret.
They began spreading rumors about Xuan Yang within the sect, attempting to sow discord among the other disciples.
"Have you heard? Xuan Yang only passed the trial by luck; he’s not trustworthy at all!" Li Xue proclaimed loudly before everyone, her eyes gleaming with triumph.
"Yeah, I heard he didn't show any real strength during the trial," another female disciple chimed in, her face full of mockery.
"I don't believe he has any real power!" The crowd murmured, their expressions revealing doubt and disdain.
Xuan Yang listened silently from the side, feeling a surge of anger within him. Yet he knew he could not be easily defeated by these rumors.
He decided to prove himself through action.
"I will show you what true strength really is!" Xuan Yang vowed silently, preparing himself for the challenges that lay ahead.
At that moment, Li Xue and her companions approached Xuan Yang once more, ready to give him a taste of their so-called strength.
"You worthless fool, today you'll see what real power looks like!" Li Xue said coldly, her eyes flashing with provocation.
"I am not afraid of you," Xuan Yang's voice was firm and powerful, as he contemplated how to counterattack.
"Then come at me!" Li Xue commanded, launching her attack in an instant.
Xuan Yang felt a tightness in his chest and quickly summoned his abilities. The Shadow Puppet materialized behind him, seemingly waiting for his command.
"Go!" With a shout from Xuan Yang, the Shadow Puppet lunged at Li Xue like a fierce beast, instantly repelling her attack.
"This... how is this possible?" Li Xue's face showed shock, her heart filled with unease.
"I told you, I am not useless!" Xuan Yang's voice thundered, carrying immense authority and confidence.
The surrounding disciples stepped back in fear, unable to believe what they were witnessing. Li Xue and her companions exchanged glances, their hearts brimming with terror.
"How... how could you have such power?" Li Xue stammered, her eyes flickering with anxiety.
"Because I am the reincarnation of the Puppet Master!" Xuan Yang declared, his voice resonating like a war drum, filled with unwavering confidence and determination.
At that moment, the Master’s voice rang out again: "Well done, Xuan Yang. Your performance has impressed me."
"Thank you, Master," Xuan Yang replied with a slight smile, feeling grateful for the Master's support.
"Li Xue, you must understand that jealousy and hostility will only cause you to lose more," the Master's gaze pierced through Li Xue's heart like a sword.
"Yes, Master. I will be mindful," Li Xue responded reluctantly, not daring to argue further.
As the turmoil subsided, Xuan Yang's strength gradually gained recognition, and Li Xue along with her companions began to temper their hostility.
However, Xuan Yang knew clearly that this turmoil was far from over; the leader of the Shadow Force, Shadow, was still watching his every move from the shadows.
"This boy seems to be quite extraordinary..." A sinister smile crept across Shadow's lips as he secretly plotted his next steps.
"I will make you my pawn, Puppet Master," Shadow murmured to himself, his eyes glinting with malice.
As time passed, Xuan Yang's strength continued to grow, and Master began to provide him with more in-depth guidance.
One day, Master summoned Xuan Yang to impart a secret technique.
"Xuan Yang, today I will teach you a secret technique that will greatly aid you in your quest to find the Heart of the Puppet Master in the Misty Forest," Master's voice thundered, shaking the entire sect.
"Thank you, Master! I will study hard!" Xuan Yang replied with a firm and powerful voice, filled with anticipation and determination.
"This technique is called 'Heart of the Puppet Master,' and it will help you better control the shadows and the power of the Puppet Master," Master's gaze was intense, revealing a hint of seriousness.
"I will strive to master it!" Xuan Yang nodded slightly, feeling grateful for Master's support.
Under Master's guidance, Xuan Yang's strength steadily increased as he gradually grasped the essence of 'Heart of the Puppet Master.' He felt a surge of excitement for the upcoming adventure.
"I will definitely find the Heart of the Puppet Master and become a true Puppet Master!" Xuan Yang silently vowed, his eyes shining with determination.
However, dangers and challenges awaited him in the Misty Forest. Xuan Yang understood that the road ahead was fraught with uncertainty and trials, but he was ready to face all challenges head-on.
