The night grew deeper.
Outside the forbidden area, Qin Si's abruptly cut-off exclamation was like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, sending ripples that hinted at the undercurrents stirring beneath the tranquil surface of the Glorious Demon Fortress.
At the moment Leonard was being tempted by shadows, deciding to take a reckless risk, Luna's clear eyes were fixed intently on Aelia.
She knew it was time; it was time for this Lady of the Fortress, kept in the dark, to see her husband's true nature.
"Mother, look at this," Luna said in her tender voice, pointing with her small finger towards an inconspicuous Dark Compartment in the corner of the study.
Aelia, already unsettled by Qin Si's exclamation, felt even more confused by Luna's actions.
She approached the Dark Compartment and pressed gently; it opened with a soft click.
Inside lay a letter, written on sweet-scented letterhead.
Aelia picked up the letter with curiosity, but when she saw the delicate Tiny Inscriptions on the envelope, her face instantly turned pale.
It was handwriting she had never seen before, yet it carried a familiar sting that pierced her nerves.
With trembling hands, she opened the envelope.
The contents of the letter struck her like a sharp knife, plunging deep into her heart.
"Leonard, meet me at our old place tonight... My love will always belong to you..."
The signature read—"Your Sweetheart."
Aelia felt darkness closing in around her; years of love and trust crumbled and shattered in that moment.
She had always believed that Leonard loved her, respected her, and would never betray her.
Yet this letter ruthlessly tore apart all her fantasies.
Her mind was a blank, buzzing with confusion as the letter slipped from her trembling hand and fell to the ground.
She stood there, dazed, like a statue stripped of its soul.
Tears fell like scattered beads, each drop silently accusing Leonard of betrayal.
"Mother..." Luna gently embraced Aelia, her small body conveying a flicker of warmth.
Aelia suddenly tightened her grip on Luna, holding her close as if clinging to the last straw of hope.
"Why... why is this happening..." she murmured, her voice choked with endless pain and despair.
"I need to find him; I need to get to the bottom of this!" Aelia abruptly pushed Luna away.
She stumbled out of the study, rushing toward the forbidden place where Leonard was.
At that moment, Leonard was ensnared by the whispers of shadows, his heart filled with fear and unease.
He knew he was treading a dangerous path, but there was no turning back.
Just as he resolved to act against Aelia as instructed by the shadows, she burst in.
"Leonard!" Aelia shouted, her voice sharp and trembling, filled with anger and sorrow.
Leonard jumped in surprise, turning around to see Aelia's eyes filled with bloodshot fury, sending a jolt through him.
"Aelia, you... what are you doing here?" His voice was frantic, his gaze darting around.
Aelia said nothing; she simply hurled the letter at Leonard's face.
The letter fell to the ground, revealing the elegant tiny inscriptions written upon it.
Leonard's face instantly turned pale.
"Aelia, tell me what this is about!" she screamed, her voice like that of a wounded beast, brimming with despair and rage.
Leonard tried to explain, wanting to tell Aelia that it was all a misunderstanding, that the shadow was sowing discord between them.
However, Aelia gave him no chance.
"Shut up! I don't want to hear your excuses!" Aelia's Roar boomed, her voice deafening, filled with authority and power.
Leonard was intimidated by Aelia's presence; he dared not speak further and could only look at her in terror.
Everything he had built over the years, all that he possessed, was about to be reduced to nothing because of this letter.
With this thought, Leonard's heart was filled with fear and despair.
At the same time, while Aelia and Leonard faced off, another part of the Glorious Demon Fortress was undergoing tremendous changes.
Luna did not follow Aelia to confront Leonard.
Instead, she first went to her elder brother's room.
Her brother had been paralyzed for many years due to the Magic Backlash; he lay in bed all day, despondent and hopeless about life.
Luna approached her brother's bedside and gently took his hand.
"Elder brother, I have a way to heal you," she said with a firm tone.
A glimmer of light flickered in her brother's previously dull eyes, but he quickly shook his head.
"It's useless; my body is beyond repair. I can't recover," his voice was hoarse and filled with despair.
"No, elder brother, believe me, I can do it," Luna insisted resolutely.
Using her knowledge of the storyline, she helped her brother find a way to alleviate the effects of the Magic Backlash.
After much effort, her brother's Magical Power finally regained its balance.
He slowly stood up, feeling the power surging within him once more.
Excitedly, he made his way to the Magic Arena to participate in the Magic Competition.
With his formidable strength and exceptional skills, he fought his way through the challenges and ultimately achieved a remarkable victory.
The crowd at the Glorious Demon Fortress cheered for his accomplishments, and the entire Magic Castle was enveloped in an atmosphere of joy and exhilaration.
Luna then arrived at Second Brother's room.
Second Brother had fallen into a Magic Dilemma due to being deceived by a close friend, leaving him gloomy and distrustful of others.
Luna confronted Second Brother, exposing the true nature of his friend and helping him escape from the Magic Dilemma.
Upon learning the truth, Second Brother was initially filled with regret but soon felt immense gratitude towards Luna.
He began to face life with renewed positivity, reigniting his hope for the future.
While Luna was resolving the dilemmas of her elder brother and Second Brother, Brother San remained engrossed in his own Magical Talent, neglecting his training.
Luna decided to awaken him to the reality that talent alone is not enough; only hard work can lead to success.
She arrived at Brother San's Training Ground and saw him proudly showcasing his Magical Talent.
"Brother San, do you think you're impressive right now?" Luna asked.
Brother San arrogantly lifted his head and replied, "Of course! My Magical Talent is unmatched; I will surely become the greatest Mage in the future."
Luna shook her head and said, "Brother San, you're mistaken. Talent is not everything; if you don't put in the effort, your talent will only bring you trouble."
Brother San laughed dismissively and said, "Hmph! My talent is enough for me to succeed; I don't need to work hard."
Luna sighed.
"Brother San, what if I told you that your talent is actually a curse?" she suddenly said.
Brother San's smile froze as he looked at Luna in confusion and asked, "What... what did you say?"
Luna did not answer. She merely smiled mysteriously and turned to leave the Training Ground.
Her heart was filled with anticipation.
A storm was brewing at the Glorious Demon Fortress...
Luna's words struck like a Jing Lei, shattering Brother San's self-satisfied illusion of the magical world.
He stood there, repeatedly chewing on the phrase "your talent is actually a curse." The once proud smile on his face had frozen, as if an invisible magic had locked it in place.
The sunlight was still blinding, causing sweat to bead on his forehead, but he felt an unprecedented coldness surge from his feet straight to his head.
He suddenly recalled how, over the years, he had become obsessed with the vanity brought by his talent, complacently standing still while others who once lagged behind him had long since left him in the dust.
Could it be that he was truly wrong?
He couldn't help but raise his hands, feeling the swirling Magic Element in the air. What had once been the source of his pride now seemed to transform into invisible Demon Binding Shackles.
He began to doubt whether this talent had made him lazy and arrogant, ultimately leading him astray.
Luna's figure had long vanished beyond the Training Ground, leaving only a faint magical aura in the air that seemed to carry some mysterious guidance.
Brother San took a deep breath; the air was filled with the fragrance of earth and the freshness of greenery. For the first time, he truly felt the vitality of this land.
He slowly walked to the center of the Training Ground and picked up a dusty magic wand.
The wand felt cold and real in his hand. He gripped it tightly, as if holding onto a renewed determination to start over.
He closed his eyes, and Luna's clear gaze emerged in his mind—a wisdom that saw through everything and a hope-filled encouragement.
He finally understood that talent is only the starting point. True strength comes from unremitting efforts and firm will. He suddenly opened his eyes, and Brother San waved his magic wand. One after another Magic Rune jumped on his Fingertip, and the once awkward Spell became smooth and natural. He no longer pursued gorgeous skills, but focused on every detail, every movement, and strived to be perfect. Sweat soaked his clothes, but he didn't care. He seemed to have returned to the day when he first came into contact with magic, full of curiosity and desire. He practiced over and over again until night fell and the stars Light Spot appeared. The whole Training Ground was reverberating with his powerful Spell, which was a farewell to the past and an expectation for the future. Glorious Demon Fortress seemed to be rejuvenated because of his changes. "It seems that I really need to get to know this Sister again." Brother San muttered to himself as he looked at his calloused hands.
