Qin Si gently placed Luna in the Cradle, softly humming an ancient Lullaby. The melody seemed to flow from the river of time, carrying a hint of mysterious magic.
Luna's small hand grasped Qin Si's Fingertip, her laughter ringing out like a clear mountain spring, echoing throughout the room.
Qin Si looked at Luna, her heart filled with tenderness. She felt as if she could see the dawn of hope illuminating the future of the Glorious Demon Fortress.
Aelia had finished handling the daily affairs of the Magic Castle and was tiredly rubbing her Temples.
Thinking of Luna, a warm current surged within her.
Ever since this Little One arrived at the Magic Castle, she had found her center in life, no longer feeling the emptiness and loneliness she once did.
She hurried towards Luna's room but found the door tightly shut, an ominous premonition rising in her heart.
With a sudden push, she flung open the door, revealing an empty Cradle. A strong Magical Fluctuation hit her instantly, sending chills down her spine.
"Luna!" Aelia exclaimed, her voice filled with anxiety and fear.
She sensed that the Magical Fluctuation originated from the Forbidden Grounds of the Demon Fortress, where the Glorious Demon Fortress's treasure—the Eternal Star—was kept.
Could it be… A terrifying thought flashed through her mind, causing her to tremble all over.
Just then, Leonard appeared, his face dark and a hint of panic in his brow.
"Aelia, something's wrong! The Eternal Star… has been stolen!" His voice was low and Hoarse, as if it came from the depths of hell.
Aelia felt darkness closing in on her, nearly fainting.
"How could this happen? The Guardian Magic of the Eternal Star is so powerful; who could steal it?" She clutched Leonard's arm tightly, her Ailya's White Nails almost digging into his flesh.
Leonard took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down.
"I have already strengthened the guards at the Magic Castle and am investigating all suspicious individuals. But… I fear this may be a deliberate act by hostile forces. They might take this opportunity to cause trouble for the Magic Castle." His tone carried a subtle tension, as if he were hiding something.
“Guardian Magic… who is responsible for it?” Aelia struggled to keep herself awake, keenly sensing something unusual about Leonard.
Leonard's eyes flickered for a moment. “It’s me… I’m personally responsible.”
Aelia's doubts deepened.
She clearly remembered how sensitive Luna was to the Eternal Star’s Magical Fluctuation. Every time they approached the forbidden area, she would exhibit an unusual excitement.
Could it be… her?
A bold guess emerged in her mind, leaving her in disbelief.
But her intuition told her that this guess was likely true.
“Take me to the forbidden area!” Aelia's tone was firm and brooked no argument.
Leonard hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded.
He hurriedly led Aelia, several children, and Qin Si toward the forbidden area.
The forbidden area was located at the deepest part of the Magic Castle, surrounded by a powerful Magic Barrier that prevented anyone without permission from approaching.
However, at this moment, the barrier showed no response, as if it had already failed.
As they entered the forbidden area, the sight before them left them stunned.
The box that should have contained the Eternal Star was empty, surrounded by scattered toys and… a baby’s teething ring.
“Luna?!” Aelia immediately recognized the teething ring; it was one she had made for Luna herself.
Just then, they heard a burst of baby Giggling.
Following the sound, they saw Luna sitting in the center of the forbidden area, happily playing with the sparkling Eternal Star.
Aelia rushed over and picked up Luna, feeling both angry and anxious.
"Luna! How could you… how could you take the treasure to play with it?!"
Luna was startled by Aelia's sudden action, causing the Eternal Star in her hand to fall to the ground with a crisp sound.
She looked at Aelia, her big eyes filled with confusion, as if she didn't understand what she had done wrong.
Seeing this, Leonard quickly cast a spell to muffle the sound, so that Luna's cries wouldn't disturb others in the Magic Castle.
Luna was frightened into tears by Aelia's stern tone, bursting into loud sobs, her little face turning bright red.
Aelia looked down at the crying Luna in her arms, feeling a mix of emotions.
She was angry at Luna's reckless behavior but also pained by her innocence.
Leonard observed the scene with a furrowed brow, silently contemplating something.
"Aelia, about this matter…"
Just as he began to speak, Luna suddenly stopped crying and said in her tender voice, "Daddy… bad…"
