Lin Yue stood at the entrance of the advertising agency, looking up at the brightly lit sign with a mix of nervousness and excitement. Having just graduated from university, she stepped into this well-known company in the industry, filled with dreams of a career in advertising. On her first day, she immediately felt the fast-paced nature of the workplace. The receptionist smiled and handed her an ID badge, which bore her name and the title "New Copywriter." Lin Yue carefully pinned it to her chest and followed a colleague from the HR department into the office.
The office was bustling with activity; phones rang incessantly, and the sound of keyboards filled the air. Lin Yue was assigned a desk by the window, where sunlight streamed through the glass, warming her workspace. Her HR colleague introduced her to those around her, and everyone nodded and smiled, easing her nerves somewhat. However, when she spotted a man sitting in the corner, intently focused on his computer screen, her heart skipped a beat. He wore a black shirt, his hair slightly disheveled, and his gaze was deep and concentrated, giving off an aura of aloofness. Later, she learned that he was Zhou Yi, a senior designer at the company and a legendary figure known as "Deity."
Lin Yue's first task was to assist a Copywriter on an Advertising Project. Excitedly, she opened her computer to research and brainstorm ideas for copy. However, it wasn't long before she hit a wall. Her drafts were consistently criticized by her supervisor for being either too wordy or lacking originality. Frustrated and sweating, Lin Yue tugged at her hair in despair. Just then, Zhou Yi walked by and noticed her troubled expression. He paused and said calmly, "Copy should capture the product's core selling points using the most concise language to resonate with people." Lin Yue looked up in surprise; she hadn't expected this usually serious man to offer her advice. Nodding eagerly, she revised her copy according to his suggestions and found that it improved significantly. From that moment on, Lin Yue's impression of Zhou Yi began to shift; despite his cold exterior, he seemed to be quite capable.
The daily life at the advertising agency was hectic but also filled with fun. Lin Yue quickly adapted to this vibrant team. Every morning, colleagues would share all sorts of quirky ideas in the office; some even mimicked clients' mannerisms, causing everyone to burst into laughter. One time, the company took on a Food Advertisement project that required a series of Creative Photos. Lin Yue and her colleagues brainstormed together and came up with an idea to create a cityscape using food items. Excitedly, they rushed to a nearby supermarket to gather ingredients and then busied themselves in the office. Some built skyscrapers out of bread while others crafted streets from vegetables; still others decorated parks with fruits. The entire office was filled with delicious aromas as everyone worked joyfully. In the end, the Creative Photos caused a sensation on social media, and clients praised the advertisement's effectiveness. Watching her creativity recognized brought Lin Yue immense satisfaction.
However, there were also challenging moments in the advertising agency. During urgent projects, overtime became routine. Once, Lin Yue and her colleagues worked for over ten hours straight to finish editing an Advertisement Video. Everyone was so tired that they could barely keep their eyes open but pushed through nonetheless. As project leader, Zhou Yi stayed with them throughout, occasionally offering encouragement. Finally, when the video was successfully delivered, cheers erupted in the office as if all their fatigue had vanished into thin air. Lin Yue glanced at Zhou Yi's tired yet smiling face and felt a warmth in her heart. She realized that this seemingly indifferent man had a surprisingly warm side as well.
