Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, two years have passed. For ordinary people on Earth, two years can feel quite long, but for Jiang Chen, it was merely a brief moment.
In these two years, Jiang Chen's strength advanced significantly. Not only did he solidify his previous mastery of various Dao attributes, but he also established foundations in five new attributes: Stone, Earth, Snow, Air, and Sound. Combined with the fourteen attributes he had already mastered—Water, Fire, Wind, Rain, Thunder, Lightning, Ice, Flower, Grass, Tree, Insect, Bird, Fish, and Beast—Jiang Chen had now laid the groundwork for a total of nineteen Dao attributes.
These nineteen Dao attributes were those he had mastered in his past life. Having such deep familiarity with them made it easy for him to establish their foundations in this life. Each of these attributes represented a fundamental aspect of the universe and could give rise to many phenomena.
One day, in an uninhabited valley on the Tibet Plateau, Jiang Chen soared into the sky on his sword and flew until he reached a small county town where he finally landed. His phone had been out of charge for two years and was completely dead. After recharging it, he called his godparents and Teacher Gong.
His godparents had been quite worried during his absence. The Jiang Bao family and Zhou Rongli had no son of their own; thus, they treated their godson Jiang Chen as if he were their own child due to his extraordinary abilities.
"Xiao Chen," Zhou Rongli said with a mix of joy and anger, "didn't you say you would be in seclusion for just a year? It's been over two years! The New Year is almost here; you need to come back soon."
"Mom," Jiang Chen replied with a smile, "I don't keep track of time when I'm in seclusion. You really don't need to worry. By the way, how have you both been these past two years?"
"We're doing well," Zhou Rongli said earnestly. "It's just that I've been worried about you. Next time you go into seclusion, please don’t take so long."
"Alright," Jiang Chen promised lightly.
He was already considering that this time out of seclusion would be an opportunity for him to find a blessed land for cultivation so that he wouldn't have to travel around anymore.
Next, Jiang Chen called Teacher Gong, Zhuyong, Old Qin, Qin Xiaoya, Lin Yin, and others. They were all very happy to hear from him after his seclusion and expressed their concerns over the past two years.
After finishing his calls, Jiang Chen continued eating in the restaurant. Although he had spent two years in seclusion protected by Spiritual Energy, his clothes had faded somewhat. He looked rather disheveled; if not for having shaved and tidied himself up upon exiting seclusion, he might have been mistaken for a vagrant.
While Jiang Chen was eating, a commotion suddenly erupted at the entrance as a group of over ten young people surged into the restaurant. Judging by the luxury cars parked outside, they seemed to be wealthy second-generation heirs from the mainland on a self-driving tour in Tibet.
Jiang Chen glanced at them casually before returning his attention to his meal. The restaurant was roadside and exuded a distinct flavor of Tibetan culture; it was only natural that passersby would choose to dine here.
The group split into two tables—one for bodyguards and one for the wealthy heirs. The table occupied by the heirs was right next to Jiang Chen's. There were five of them in total: three men and two women.
"Brother Wu," one chubby heir wearing glasses asked impatiently while addressing another heir who wore sunglasses and sported a crew cut that made him look quite robust and handsome. "How much farther is it to the sacred mountain? I'm starting to feel altitude sickness; if we go any lower now, I might not make it."
