The ground shook violently, as if a giant beast was turning over beneath the earth. Cracks spread like a spider's web, tearing apart the once smooth surface. A deep, bottomless black pit suddenly appeared before Xuan Yang and Lu Zhiyuan, resembling the gaping maw of an abyss, greedily swallowing the surrounding light and all vitality. A chilling aura emanated from the entrance, sending shivers down their spines. 0

Xuan Yang stared at the black hole, his heart racing with an inexplicable fear mixed with excitement. He licked his lips and swallowed hard. "Damn it, this can't be the entrance to the trial grounds, can it? This is way too thrilling!" 0

Lu Zhiyuan's expression was grave, his brows furrowed with worry. "This aura... it's ominous. It’s likely extremely dangerous inside; we should be cautious." 0

Taking a deep breath, Xuan Yang knew there was no turning back; he had to press forward. "What are we afraid of? Fortune favors the bold! We’ve come this far; we can’t leave empty-handed! Besides, I’m the chosen one—what’s there to fear?" 0

With a bold laugh, he leaped into the black hole like an eagle diving into the sky, his figure instantly swallowed by the darkness. 0

Seeing this, Lu Zhiyuan shook his head helplessly and sighed. "This kid is really..." He followed suit and jumped into the endless darkness. 0

Deep within the black hole, it was pitch black; he couldn't see his hand in front of his face, as if engulfed in an endless void that made it hard to breathe. Xuan Yang felt himself plummeting downward, the sound of rushing wind filling his ears as if he were falling into a bottomless abyss. The air around him grew thinner, making each breath more difficult, as if a massive stone were pressing down on his chest. 0

"How deep is this hole? Am I going to fall straight to the Earth's core?" Xuan Yang cursed inwardly, trying to steady his breathing and remain calm. This cursed place was truly unnerving. 0

Suddenly, the sensation of weightlessness vanished; he felt himself lighten and land steadily on solid ground. 0

Opening his eyes, he found himself in a vast cavern. The ceiling was adorned with countless glowing crystals that sparkled like stars in the night sky, casting a soft light that illuminated the entire cave as if it were daytime. The shimmering light reflected off the cavern walls, creating a dazzling array of colors that left one in awe. 0

In the center of the cave stood a towering stone tablet that pierced the clouds like a sword thrust into the sky, exuding an imposing presence. The tablet was covered in ancient inscriptions that resembled celestial script; Xuan Yang couldn't read a single character but could feel an ancient and mysterious aura radiating from it. 0

Below the tablet lay a massive altar made of unknown black stone, emanating an ancient and enigmatic energy. Atop the altar rested a jewel radiating seven colors like a luminous pearl, exuding an enchanting glow that made one yearn to possess it. 0

"This... is this really the trial grounds?" Xuan Yang thought to himself, filled with doubt; this place was even more mysterious than he had imagined. 0

Lu Zhiyuan also landed smoothly from the black hole and looked around in astonishment. "This place... truly extraordinary! It's breathtaking!" 0

Suddenly, a chilling voice echoed throughout the cavern like a ghostly whisper, sending chills down their spines. "Welcome to the first trial of the abyss, foolish mortals." 0

Xuan Yang and Lu Zhiyuan were startled; they looked around but could not find the source of the voice, heightening their vigilance. 0

"Who? Who's speaking? Show yourself!" Xuan Yang shouted loudly, his voice reverberating in the vast cavern. 0

"Heh, no need to search anymore. I am the guardian of this abyss. If you wish to pass the trial, you must defeat me; otherwise, you will remain here forever!" The cold voice echoed once more, laced with a hint of mockery and derision. 0

As the words fell, a massive shadow slowly emerged from the depths of the cave, resembling a demon crawling out from hell, sending chills down one’s spine. The figure stood over three meters tall, its hulking form reminiscent of a small mountain, radiating a fierce aura as if it had stepped out from a sea of corpses and blood. A pair of Crimson Dual Eyes glinted with malice, like two red lanterns, fixed intently on Xuan Yang and Lu Zhiyuan, as if it intended to tear them apart. 0

"Damn it, another fool seeking death! Today, I'll show you why the flowers are so red!" Xuan Yang cursed inwardly, a surge of adrenaline coursing through him as he commanded his Shadow Puppet, ready to engage in battle. 0

"Kid, don’t be too arrogant. Do you really think you can defeat me? You’re truly overestimating yourself!" The shadow let out a chilling laugh, akin to a demon from hell, sending shivers through the air. 0

"We'll find out! Stop wasting time!" Xuan Yang retorted fearlessly, directing his Shadow Puppet to launch a furious assault against the shadow. 0

The shadow swung its enormous fists like a Siege Hammer, accompanied by a howling wind that shattered the Shadow Puppets one by one. The overwhelming force was like a landslide, unstoppable and leaving Xuan Yang feeling apprehensive. 0

Despite the numerous Shadow Puppets at his command, they failed to inflict any damage on the shadow—like an ant trying to stop a chariot. This left him in a state of urgent anxiety; he needed to devise a plan! 0

"Haha! Is this all you've got? I'm thoroughly disappointed! It seems you all will die here today!" The shadow laughed maniacally, mocking Xuan Yang’s incompetence with an arrogant demeanor that made Xuan Yang grit his teeth in frustration. 0

Furrowing his brow tightly, Xuan Yang realized he had to find the shadow's weakness; otherwise, victory was impossible. "This guy... His defense is too strong. I must find its weakness; otherwise, we’ll all meet our end here!" 0

He scrutinized the shadow's movements for any openings, his gaze sharp as that of a hawk. 0

Suddenly, he noticed behind the shadow a radiant rune glowing with seven colors, resembling a giant eye that emitted mysterious light. The shimmering glow of the rune harmonized with the brilliance of the orb on the altar, appearing exceptionally enigmatic. 0

"Could this be... its weakness?" A spark ignited in Xuan Yang's mind as if he had grasped a lifeline. 0

He maneuvered his Shadow Puppet to draw the shadow's attention, persistently harassing it until it was overwhelmed. Then, seizing the moment when it was unguarded, he rallied all his Shadow Puppets and launched them like arrows toward the glowing rune at its back. 0

The shadow seemed to sense Xuan Yang's intent and abruptly turned to thwart the attack on its rune; however, it was too late. 0

The Shadow Puppets struck the rune with force; it shattered instantly like glass, scattering into fragments that rang out crisply. 0

The shadow let out a piercing wail akin to a ghostly lament that sent chills through everyone present. Its body began to tremble violently as if electrocuted before slowly collapsing like a mountain crumbling down with an earth-shattering roar that shook the entire cave. 0

The shadow vanished into thin air, dissipating into wisps of black smoke that faded into nothingness. 0

Xuan Yang stood in place, breathing heavily as if he had just completed a marathon, utterly exhausted. This battle had proven to be more difficult than he had anticipated. 0

He looked up at the ceiling of the cave and noticed that the glowing crystals were gradually dimming, like stars falling from the night sky, causing the entire cave to grow darker. 0

"It seems... we have passed the first trial," Lu Zhiyuan said, his tone tinged with relief and gratitude. 0

Suddenly, the jewel on the altar emitted a dazzling light that illuminated the entire cave as if it were daytime. 0

The jewel slowly rose, hovering in the air before transforming into a stream of light that shot into Xuan Yang's body. 0

Xuan Yang felt a powerful force surge within him, like a volcano erupting, unstoppable. This power made him feel stronger than ever before. 0

His body began to change; his hair turned silver, shining like moonlight; his eyes became golden, radiant like the sun; his skin transformed into something resembling jade, translucent and glowing softly. 0

He felt filled with strength, as if he could control everything, his heart brimming with confidence and ambition. 0

"Congratulations, you have gained the power of the Abyss," a voice echoed in Xuan Yang's mind, sounding like a divine whisper—solemn and sacred. "Now, you are qualified to challenge the next trial." 0

Xuan Yang clenched his fists, knowing that his adventure was just beginning. 0

What challenges awaited him in the second trial of the Abyss? 0
