The rocks surrounding the entrance of the Guixu Gate displayed peculiar spiral patterns, as if they had been slowly twisted by some force over countless years. 0

Shen Tong stood quietly, observing the entrance in her unique way. In her view, an ancient and complex aura coiled around the Guixu Gate, neither resembling malevolent energy nor Yuan Qi. Instead, it was a more primal and powerful flow of energy, akin to the pulsation of the earth's veins or the most fundamental breath of the universe. 0

"The aura here... is very ancient, as if it has existed since the dawn of the world," Shen Tong murmured. "It is both consuming and releasing, like... the breath of the earth." 0

She felt her right eye growing increasingly warm, as if her entire head was about to ignite. The four of them cautiously descended along the slope of the canyon; the closer they got to the Guixu Gate, the more pronounced that oppressive heaviness became, as if an invisible force was resisting their steps. 0

As they approached the Guixu Gate, the winds at the bottom of the canyon weakened. Yet there was a peculiar sense of rotation, as if something was drawing them slowly toward that black hole-like Guixu Gate. Even the heavy snowfall nearby began to swirl slowly, forming a white vortex. 0

When they slid down the final snow slope, the sight before them caused all four to halt simultaneously. 0

On the flat ground near the Guixu Gate, members of the Gui Xu Society were already gathered. There appeared to be at least two hundred people dressed in identical black robes. They had constructed a large altar beside the Guixu Gate, with several towering stone pillars standing in its direction, each two or three men high. 0

Between these pillars hung numerous ancient copper bells and black drapes that swayed in the wind, producing a deep resonance. Several figures in black robes were arranging various offerings around the altar—ceramic jars, wooden carvings, animal bones, and some unidentifiable dark red items. More black-robed individuals held torches around the altar, forming a strict perimeter. 0

In the center of the altar stood a tall figure in a black robe alone. His face was obscured by a Bird Beak Mask—its glossy black beak extending forward, with blood-red gemstones embedded on either side as eyes that sparkled in the firelight. 0

"That is Shi Xu Elder," Mu Qing whispered. 0

At that moment, Shen Tong's right eye felt painfully hot, as if something deep within her eyeball was burning. She instinctively touched her eye mask and found that the fabric had become warm. Just then, Shen Tong suddenly experienced a strange sensation—she felt as though someone was watching her intently. 0

Before Shen Tong could remind his companions, the Shi Xu Elder in the center of the altar had already turned around, his blood-red gem-like eyes fixed directly on their direction. 0

"Indeed, they have come! Indeed, they have come!" The Shi Xu Elder's voice was hoarse, yet it couldn't conceal the ecstasy within. "The legendary Guan Sha, the last inheritor of the Rakshasa Bird contract!" 0

With that, he suddenly waved his hand, and the wide sleeves of his black robe traced an arc through the air. 0

At this motion, a large group of members from the Gui Xu Society, dressed in black and wielding curved blades, charged toward the four of them. 0

Shen Tong and his companions had not anticipated that there would be so many members of the Gui Xu Society. Before they could react, they were already surrounded by the black-clad figures. 0
