I arrived as promised and waited for twenty minutes in the café before she finally showed up, looking apologetic. 0

As soon as she sat down, she spoke first: "I was with Xiao Mo in college; we were each other's first love. We were truly happy back then." 0

I remained silent, quietly observing this woman who was the object of Shen Mo's affection. 0

"But Xiao Mo's mother didn't like me and forcibly tore us apart," she continued, a hint of grievance in her tone. "I had no intention of interfering with your family, but the moment I saw Xiao Mo, I knew he still loved me, just like before!" 0

As she spoke, she kept fiddling with her hair, as if afraid I wouldn't notice the necklace around her neck. 0

"So what?" I replied calmly, though my heart felt like it was being twisted by a knife. 0

The gleaming necklace was like a sharp blade that pierced me deeply. That was clearly my Diana! 0

Perhaps my reaction was too composed; she seemed dissatisfied and bit her lip, raising her voice slightly: "Miss Xia, matters of the heart cannot be forced." 0

"Even if you tie him to your side, what difference does it make? He doesn't love you at all; you two will never be happy." 0

I looked at her coldly, as if she were a clown performing for my amusement. 0

I truly couldn't understand why Shen Mo would be attracted to someone like her. I had thought that even if she wasn't from a prestigious family, at least she would be a cultured woman. 0

But this person before me, while somewhat good-looking, exuded an air of vanity and shallowness. It seemed the old saying was true: love indeed makes one blind. 0

I spoke calmly, "Since you say you love Shen Mo as a person, why not take off the necklace first?" 0

"After all, its value is enough for you to live comfortably for a lifetime." 0

She seemed to seize upon my words, a smirk curling at the corners of her mouth. "If I'm not mistaken, that necklace is one of your proud creations, Miss Xia?" 0

"I merely acted a little spoiled with Xiao Mo, and he bought it from you to give to me." 0

"Speaking of which, you should thank me; this time it was quite a profitable deal." 0

A wave of bitterness surged within me. Shen Mo took away my most cherished treasure, just to flaunt it for this woman. 0

She looked at me with pride, her eyes filled with the joy of victory. "As long as I want, whether it's this necklace or Shen Mo himself, they are both mine." 0

I smiled faintly. "I won't get a divorce. If you want to take his place, let Shen Mo come and talk to me himself." 0

Pei Nana suddenly stood up, knocking a cup off the table, which clattered loudly on the floor. 0

All eyes around us instantly focused on her. 0

"Miss Xia, you are so selfish..." she shouted in anger and humiliation. 0

I ignored her and let her rant behind me. 0

Once back in the car, I collapsed over the steering wheel and cried uncontrollably. 0

In the following days, Shen Mo didn't return home. 0

I knew Pei Nana was using this method to tell me that not only could I not win Shen Mo's heart, but now I couldn't even have him physically. 0

Three days later, Shen Mo returned under the cover of night. 0

"There have been some issues at the company," he said dismissively. 0

I didn't press further; instead, I calmly asked, "You told me last time that Diana was sending something to an important client, right?" 0

Shen Mo looked up at me, silently meeting my gaze. 0

"I saw it that day..." My voice was barely above a whisper. 0

He frowned, still silent. 0
