As Jiang Chen descended the mountain along the winding path, he spotted Zhao Lanping and her family waiting for him in a grass pavilion halfway down the slope.

“Wait! I... I want to serve you in the future,” Zhao Lanping called out nervously as she rushed after him after being nudged by her parents.
“To be my maid, there’s one condition: you must be pure. Therefore, you cannot be my maid. To become my disciple requires exceptional talent, but your talent is mediocre, so you cannot be my disciple either. It seems we are fated to part ways.
