"Ha, Destiny? Then let me rewrite this damn Destiny!"
Little Luna lay on the soft animal skin blanket, her baby-fat cheeks filled with a determination that belied her age.
Her big, dark eyes sparkled with a glimmer of wisdom, as if she could see through all the hypocrisy of the world.
"Leonard, your good days are over!"
Luna silently thought to herself, her small pink fists clenching slightly.
For her family, for those three brothers who had suffered terribly due to the Original plot, she must, and would, expose Leonard's true nature and shatter his hypocritical facade!
Her gaze fell upon Qin Si, who stood not far away.
This loyal Maid was Aelia's most trusted person and an important part of her plan.
"Qin Si, come here," Luna said in her tender voice, yet there was an undeniable authority in her tone.
Qin Si walked over with some confusion.
She didn’t understand why this Infant Girl, brought back by the Lord of the Fortress, always looked at her with eyes that seemed to see through everything.
"Luna, do you have any orders?" Qin Si asked respectfully.
Luna did not answer directly but stared intently into Qin Si's clear eyes.
"Qin Si, are you loyal to the lady?"
Without hesitation, Qin Si nodded. "Of course, the lady has treated me with great kindness; I am utterly loyal to her!"
"Very good," Luna said with satisfaction. "Then I need you to help me with something."
“Luna, please speak. Qin Si will do everything possible.”
Luna lowered her voice to a whisper, just loud enough for the two of them to hear. “Help me gather evidence of the Lord of the Fortress's dealings with Leonard's Concubine. The more, the better.”
Qin Si's face instantly turned pale.
Her eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Luna, as if she had just heard something unbelievable.
“Luna, what... what did you say? This... this can't be true, can it? How could the Lord of the Fortress...?” Qin Si's voice trembled, unable to accept what she had just heard.
“Nothing is impossible,” Luna replied calmly and firmly. “The facts speak for themselves; the evidence will reveal everything.”
“But...” Qin Si wanted to say more but was interrupted by Luna.
“Qin Si, you must believe that the lady has the right to know the truth. Moreover, this matter concerns the future of the entire Magic Castle. Do you want the lady to remain in the dark and ultimately face a tragic end?”
Luna's words pierced Qin Si's heart like a sharp knife.
She knew Luna was right.
If the Lord of the Fortress truly betrayed the lady, then she would eventually discover the truth.
It was better to take proactive measures than to passively endure, fighting for a glimmer of hope.
Qin Si took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.
She looked into Luna's wise eyes and saw a glimmer of hope.
“Alright, Luna. I promise you. I will do my utmost to gather evidence against the Lord of the Fortress.”
Luna smiled with satisfaction. She knew that Qin Si had made up her mind.
In the following days, Qin Si buzzed around like a diligent bee, secretly investigating Leonard's whereabouts.
With her familiarity with the Magic Castle and the connections she had built over the years while being by Aelia's side, she gradually uncovered some clues regarding Leonard's interactions with Leonard's Concubine.
She discovered that Leonard often used official business as an excuse to visit Outskirts Manor, where he would stay for extended periods each time.
She also found out that Leonard regularly transferred large sums of money to a mysterious account, the purpose of which remained unclear.
These revelations weighed heavily on Qin Si's heart.
She could hardly believe that the Lord of the Fortress, whom she had always respected, could be such a two-faced individual.
Finally, with Luna's assistance, Qin Si gathered enough evidence.
This evidence included intimate photographs of Leonard with Leonard's Concubine, their correspondence, and transaction records from the secret account.
Qin Si carefully concealed this evidence in an exquisite wooden box. Taking a deep breath, she made her way to Aelia's room.
As Qin Si presented the wooden box before Aelia, her hands trembled.
"Madam, I... I have something to report to you," Qin Si's voice was barely audible.
Aelia looked up and saw the pale expression on Qin Si's face, a sense of foreboding rising within her.
"What is it? Speak," Aelia's tone was calm and indifferent, as if she had lost interest in everything.
Qin Si bit her lip and mustered her courage. "Madam, I... I have discovered some things about the Lord of the Fortress. You... you will understand once you see this."
With that, Qin Si handed the wooden box to Aelia.
Aelia took the box with a puzzled expression and opened the lid.
When she saw the contents of the box, her face instantly turned pale.
In the photographs, Leonard was embracing a stranger, their gestures intimate, resembling a couple deeply in love.
In the letters, Leonard expressed his affection for that woman in nauseatingly sweet language.
The transaction records displayed enormous sums of money, clearly indicating Leonard's generosity towards her.
Aelia's hands trembled as she picked up each photograph and letter, examining them closely.
Her eyes were filled with disbelief, and her heart was overwhelmed with pain and despair.
"No, this can't be true! It must be fake! Leonard would never do this to me!" Aelia murmured, her voice trembling.
She could not believe that the husband she had loved for so many years could betray her.
She could not accept that the marriage she had thought was blissful was nothing but a complete lie.
Yet, those photographs, those letters, those transaction records lay before her, forcing her to confront the harsh reality.
Aelia's complexion grew increasingly pale, and her body began to tremble slightly.
She felt as if her world was collapsing bit by bit.
She had known Leonard since they were young; they had weathered countless storms together to reach this point.
She had always believed that their bond was unbreakable and could withstand any trial.
But now she realized that it had all been one-sided on her part.
Leonard did not truly love her; he only cherished her identity, her status, and the Magic Castle behind her.
Aelia's eye sockets gradually reddened, filled with anger and despair.
She felt like a puppet being toyed with, manipulated at will, stripped of all dignity.
Tightly clutching the photographs and letters, she seemed ready to tear them into pieces.
But the truth lay before her, unchangeable.
"Why? Why would you do this to me?" Aelia looked up at the sky, her voice heavy with sorrow and rage.
She couldn't understand why Leonard had betrayed her.
Hadn't she been good enough for him?
Was everything she had done for him just a joke?
Aelia's inner world had completely collapsed.
Everything she once held dear had turned utterly meaningless.
Her love, her marriage, her family—all reduced to ruins.
She didn't know what to do or who to trust anymore.
She felt like a lost child in the darkness, unable to find direction or see any hope.
At that moment, she suddenly thought of Luna.
The infant girl whom Leonard had brought back, the one who always looked at her with an expression as if she could see through everything.
"Luna... does Luna know something?" Aelia murmured to herself.
Just then, a sound of footsteps came from outside the door.
Aelia looked up and saw Leonard standing at the entrance, a concerned expression on his face as he gazed at her.
“Aelia, what’s wrong? You look terrible. Are you sick?” Leonard approached Aelia, asking with genuine concern.
Aelia looked at Leonard's hypocritical face, filled with disgust.
She wanted nothing more than to expose his true nature immediately, to ruin him completely.
But she needed to stay calm, to plan, and to secure the greatest benefit for herself.
Taking a deep breath, Aelia forced herself to relax.
She looked at Leonard and managed a strained smile.
“I’m fine, just a bit tired,” Aelia replied. “You’re back just in time; I have some questions for you.”
“What is it? Go ahead,” Leonard said.
Aelia picked up a photograph and handed it to Leonard.
“Leonard, who is this person?” Aelia’s voice was calm and cold, devoid of any emotion.
Leonard stared at the woman in the photograph, his face instantly turning pale…
His pupils constricted sharply, like a frog caught in the gaze of a venomous snake, a wave of coldness surged from his feet to the top of his head.
The hypocritical smile that had been on his face was now rigid, like a plaster mask that could crack at any moment.
“What… what is this?” Leonard's voice was as dry as sandpaper, and he tried to maintain a facade of calm, but his slightly trembling fingers betrayed the panic within him.
Aelia said nothing, simply watching him with eyes as cold as a Blade Edge, piercing through his soul inch by inch.
The air seemed to thicken, oppressive enough to make it hard to breathe.
In the room, the only sounds were the crackling flames in the fireplace and Leonard's increasingly urgent breaths.
Leonard forced himself to calm down; he knew that any misstep at this moment could plunge him into the depths of the Eternal Abyss.
He managed a strained smile, attempting to deflect: “Aelia, let me explain. Someone must be framing me! I don’t even know this woman!”
His excuses sounded so pale and powerless that even he found them ridiculous.
His gaze flickered nervously, unable to meet Aelia’s eyes, like a child caught in wrongdoing awaiting judgment from Mother.
Aelia suddenly slammed the photo in her hand against Leonard's face. The paper grazed his Luna, leaving a faint red mark that paled in comparison to the turmoil inside him.
“Explain? Leonard, do you still want to argue at this point? These photos, these letters, and those mysterious large transfers—how do you plan to explain all this? Are you saying it’s all forged by someone else?” Aelia's voice rose sharply, filled with anger and disappointment.
Her body trembled slightly, her clenched fists turning white from the strain.
Leonard was utterly crushed by Aelia's questioning; he knew there was no escape for him now.
He slumped despondently into the chair, staring blankly at the ground as if he had lost all strength.
He understood that everything he had painstakingly built was about to crumble in this moment.
“Aelia, I…” Leonard tried to defend himself, but the words caught in his throat and he swallowed them back down.
He knew that any explanation would sound pale and powerless, unable to conceal the truth of his betrayal.
“Why, Leonard? Tell me, why did you betray me? Was I not good enough for you? All these years, I have sacrificed so much for you and for the Magic Castle. Do you really think all of this means nothing to you?” Aelia's voice trembled, filled with the pain of betrayal.
Her tears fell like broken pearls, each one shattering on the cold floor.
Leonard closed his eyes in anguish, unable to face Aelia's tears, which made him feel even more guilty.
He knew he had betrayed Aelia's trust and hurt her feelings; he was a complete bastard.
“Aelia, I admit it... I made a mistake.” Leonard's voice was low and hoarse, filled with regret.
He slowly lifted his head, looking at Aelia with a complex expression, as if he wanted to say something, but ultimately chose silence.
“A mistake? Can a single mistake erase everything? Leonard, do you realize that your betrayal has destroyed not only our relationship but also our shared future!” Aelia's emotions erupted completely as she rushed in front of Leonard, shouting at the top of her lungs.
She reached out her hand, wanting to grab Leonard by the collar, but stopped at the last moment.
Looking at Leonard's face—the one that once made her heart flutter—she now felt nothing but strangeness and disgust.
“Leave. I don’t want to see you again!” Aelia's voice was filled with despair as she turned her back on Leonard, unwilling to say another word to him.
Leonard's body shook as he slowly stood up, his gaze dim as he looked at Aelia’s retreating figure, his heart filled with endless regret.
He wanted to say something, to make amends, but found himself unable to utter a word.
He knew he had lost the chance to redeem himself.
Silently, he turned away and walked toward the door, each step feeling heavy and difficult.
He understood that what he was about to lose was not just Aelia's love but also his status and power within the Magic Castle.
When he reached the door, he suddenly stopped.
He turned around, his gaze complex as he looked at Aelia, seemingly wanting to say something, but ultimately chose to give up.
“Aelia…” Leonard's voice was barely audible, as if he was still struggling for a final word.
Aelia's body trembled slightly, but she did not turn back or speak.
She simply stood there quietly, her back to Leonard, like a cold statue.
When Leonard's figure disappeared at the door, Aelia could no longer suppress the pain in her heart. She collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
Her cries were filled with despair and helplessness, echoing in the empty room and lingering for a long time.
At that moment, a tender voice suddenly broke through the silence: “Madam, please don’t cry…”
Aelia looked up to see Luna standing not far away, concern etched on her small face.
Luna’s little face was filled with worry as she reached out her chubby hand, trying to wipe away Aelia’s tears.
Looking at Luna, Aelia felt an inexplicable surge of emotion.
She pulled Luna into her arms tightly, as if holding onto the last straw of hope.
“Luna, tell me, what should I do?” Aelia's voice choked with emotion, filled with helplessness.
With a firm tone, Luna replied in her innocent voice: “Madam, don’t be afraid. Everything will be alright…”
Aelia gazed into Luna’s clear and bright eyes and seemed to see a glimmer of hope.
Holding Luna tightly, she silently resolved to be strong—for herself and for Luna.
“Luna, tell me, who exactly are you?” Aelia asked, her eyes filled with curiosity as she looked at Luna.
In the room, Aelia held Luna tightly, as if she were clutching the last lifeline in the world.
Tears soaked Luna's soft hair, yet the little one nestled quietly in her embrace, not crying or fussing, as if she could sense Aelia's inner sorrow.
"Luna, who... who are you?" Aelia's voice trembled, filled with a hint of hope and an indescribable fear.
She couldn't comprehend how a newborn baby could possess such extraordinary wisdom and insight.
Luna lifted her head, her big, dark eyes shimmering with complex emotions.
She knew it was time to tell Aelia certain things.
"Madam, I... I am here to help you." Luna's voice was tender yet firm, carrying an inexplicable strength.
"Help me? How... how can you help me?" Aelia asked, bewildered; she simply couldn't imagine what a baby could do for her.
Luna smiled slightly, her pink face revealing a maturity and wisdom beyond her years.
"Madam, do you believe in Destiny?"
Aelia paused for a moment and shook her head.
"I used to believe, but now... I no longer do." Destiny had been too cruel to her, making the one she loved betray her and turning her years of effort into nothing.
"Then... what if I told you that I know your future?" Luna's voice held a hint of mystery and allure.
Aelia suddenly looked up, disbelief etched on her face as she gazed at Luna.
"You know my future? How... how is that possible?"
“Nothing is impossible,” Luna said slowly. “I... I once had a very long dream, in which I saw your future, witnessed Leonard's betrayal, and the crisis of the Magic Castle…”
With her innocent voice, Luna began to recount everything from her “dream.”
She skillfully wove the plot of the Original into her description, revealing Leonard's schemes, the crisis facing the Magic Castle, and Aelia's tragic destiny one by one.
Aelia listened in stunned silence, unable to believe that Luna's so-called “dream” felt so real and detailed, as if she had experienced it herself.
“You... you mean Leonard... he has been using me all along? He approached me just to gain power over the Magic Castle?” Aelia's voice trembled, filled with pain and disbelief.
Luna nodded.
“Yes, my lady. Leonard has been deceiving you; he does not love you. He only loves your identity, your status, and the Magic Castle behind you.”
Aelia's face turned pale as paper; she felt as if her heart had been pierced by a sharp knife.
She had always believed that she and Leonard were truly in love, that their relationship was unbreakable.
But now she realized that everything had merely been a beautiful lie.
“No... this can't be true! This isn't real!” Aelia shook her head in anguish, unable to accept this cruel reality.
“My lady, I know this is hard to accept, but... it is the truth,” Luna said softly. “What you need to do now is not to wallow in sorrow but to gather yourself and make the right choices for yourself and for the Magic Castle.”
Luna's words struck like lightning, cutting through the darkness in Aelia's heart. She suddenly lifted her head.
“You're right! I can't be defeated like this! I won't let Leonard's schemes succeed! I will fight for myself and for the Magic Castle!” Aelia's voice was filled with strength, like a phoenix reborn from the ashes, radiating brilliant light.
“My lady, you finally understand!” Luna smiled with relief.
“Luna, thank you! Thank you for telling me all of this!” Aelia looked at Luna gratefully.
“My lady, there's no need to thank me; I only did what I should have done,” Luna replied. “What should we do next?”
Aelia took a deep breath, calmly analyzing the current situation.
"First, we need to stabilize the situation and not let Leonard discover that we know about his scheme. Second, we must investigate secretly and gather more evidence against him. Finally, we will... completely expose his true nature and ruin his reputation!" Aelia's eyes sparkled with the fire of revenge.
"Madam, I support you!" Luna said firmly.
"Good, then let's get started!" Aelia stood up, knowing that the road ahead would be filled with thorns and challenges, but she would not back down!
She would make Leonard pay the price!
She would protect the honor of Magic Castle!
She would... rewrite her own destiny!
In the room, Aelia and Luna, two women of vastly different ages, held each other tightly. Their hearts were closely connected at this moment, united for a common goal and a brighter future. Together, they would forge ahead with courage!
