Outside, Jing Lei split the sky with lightning, illuminating Luna's fleeting cold smile—this truth in the Original was not revealed until the night of annihilation, but now, she held all the pieces on her chessboard.

Luna laughed lightly at the center of the storm. In this life, the Magic Castle would no longer be a grave stained with blood as in the original tale; it would be her first stepping stone back to the throne.
