Ye Xiaoying watched Liu Liangmei challenge Jiang Chen, a wry smile appearing on her face. With just one move, Jiang Chen could easily take down Liu Liangmei. She wondered what expression the proud Liu Liangmei would have after witnessing Jiang Chen's strength.
Suddenly, a sharp sound pierced through the air from the military camp as Jiang Chen and the others prepared to head to the back mountain.
"We're in trouble; I need to handle this," Zeng Xianyi said, his expression changing as he hurried away, leaving no time for Jiang Chen.
"I'll fight you later," Liu Liangmei glanced at Jiang Chen before following Zeng Xianyi out.
Jiang Chen paid it no mind, nor did Ye Xiaoying. After all, neither Jiang Chen nor Ye Xiaoying truly considered themselves part of the official ranks, let alone members of the Martial Arts Special Forces. Thus, they felt no obligation to involve themselves in military matters.
Once Zeng Xianyi and Liu Liangmei left, only Jiang Chen, Ye Xiaoying, and a dozen female Special Forces members remained. Zhao Rong shot a resentful glance at Jiang Chen, like a wounded lion unwilling to back down despite facing such a formidable opponent.
"You won't stand a chance against our Instructor Liu," Zhao Rong sneered.
In this military camp, Zhao Rong and her peers only recognized Liu Liangmei as their idol—someone untouchable and sacred.
Jiang Chen merely smiled and chose not to engage further with Zhao Rong. The discipline in the camp was commendable; even after Liu Liangmei and Zeng Xianyi departed, Zhao Rong and the others refrained from whispering among themselves. Instead, they fixed their intense gazes on Jiang Chen, their eyes burning with hostility, treating the newly appointed Chief Instructor as an enemy.
Jiang Chen found it amusing. If it weren't for the fact that the Martial Arts Special Forces were officially sanctioned, he would never have agreed to be an instructor, nor would Zhao Rong and her peers have sought his guidance.
Of course, they had no idea how fortunate they were to have Jiang Chen as their Chief Instructor. Their current disdain would soon turn into shock.
After ten minutes passed without Zeng Xianyi's return, Jiang Chen grew impatient. "What's going on? If Zeng Lao is busy, we might as well head back."
"How about we go check on him, Mr. Jiang?" Ye Xiaoying suggested.
"Sounds good," Jiang Chen nodded in agreement as he and Ye Xiaoying set off to find Zeng Xianyi.
In a conference room within the military camp, those present wore serious and indignant expressions. A short video played on screen featuring a Southeast Asian man in a black robe provocatively speaking in broken Huaxia Language. He warned that the Holy Witch Cult had begun its invasion of Huaxia and urged Huaxia people to prepare themselves.
The video also detailed the current situation of various Holy Witchcraft families in Xiangxi.
Zeng Xianyi had already taken notice of developments in Xiangxi months ago and had dispatched capable martial artists to address the issue. However, he was shocked to learn that his men had been killed by members of the Holy Witch Cult.
This revelation infuriated Zeng Xianyi and made him acutely aware of the seriousness of the Holy Witch Cult's invasion.
"Dean Zeng," someone spoke up urgently, "the Holy Witch Cult is advancing aggressively. That Saint Witch Sect Leader is formidable; we cannot underestimate them. Should we not gather people from Huaxia Martial Arts under the banner of Dragon Martial Institute to confront the Holy Witch Cult in Xiangxi?"
"Yes, Dean Zeng, this matter should be addressed sooner rather than later. Once the Holy Witch Cult unifies the various Holy Witchcrafts of Xiangxi, it will become even more complicated. By then, dealing with them will likely be much more difficult."
