Jiang Chen paid no mind to the matters of the Sword Manual and said, “Hua Lao, Ye Jian Sheng, since we meet again today, let me treat you to some tea. It has been a long time since I’ve had a chat with anyone. Let’s enjoy tea while we talk.”
Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying immediately straightened their backs a bit more, their expressions respectful. “It is our honor to chat with Mr. Jiang.”
With a smile, Jiang Chen personally began to brew the tea. He used Spirit Fire to heat the water and employed a Gathering Spirit Formation to gather Spiritual Energy within the tea, creating what could be considered Ling Tea. A single cup was worth a fortune.
As Jiang Chen formed the array in mid-air, his fingertips glowed with azure light, and Spirit Fire appeared out of thin air. Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying were astonished; Jiang Chen truly seemed capable of anything.
After about fifteen minutes, Jiang Chen finally finished brewing the tea. “Qin Xiaoya, serve the tea!” he instructed.
Qin Xiaoya took the teapot and poured tea for Ye Xiaoying and Hua Yuejin. The tea was a vibrant green, clear and fragrant, its aroma refreshing and comforting.
Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying exchanged glances at the cup of tea before them. Then they extended their hands to lift the cups, politely exchanged pleasantries with Jiang Chen, and began to savor it carefully.
As the tea entered their stomachs, their expressions changed dramatically. Without hesitation, they swallowed it in one gulp. “Mr. Jiang, this tea of yours is simply Jade Nectar!” Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying exclaimed in awe.
This tea was truly extraordinary; one sip made them feel light-headed and invigorated throughout their bodies. It was far from an ordinary drink; calling it a celestial treasure would not be an exaggeration.
“For you both, it indeed is Jade Nectar. This cup of tea can extend your lives by several years,” Jiang Chen said with a slight smile, not downplaying its value at all. This Ling Tea could indeed grant Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying a few extra years of life.
“Thank you for the tea, Mr. Jiang,” they both said excitedly upon hearing this.
“Qin Xiaoya, refill Hua Lao and Ye Jian Sheng’s cups,” Jiang Chen instructed.
Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying felt somewhat embarrassed; this Ling Tea was precious enough that having one cup was already a blessing, so they did not dare to ask for more.
“Drink up; the effect only works once. You can’t just drink one cup and expect your lifespan to keep increasing,” Jiang Chen chuckled.
Unable to refuse his hospitality any longer, Hua Yuejin and Ye Xiaoying accepted without further protest. This time, however, they did not gulp it down but instead sipped it delicately.
After taking a sip, they set down their cups. Hua Yuejin couldn’t help but glance at Qin Xiaoya again; seeing her standing by like a maid made him somewhat envious of her position. His family also had some young girls; if only they could serve by Jiang Chen’s side as well.
“Ye Jian Sheng, Hua Lao, is there any news in Huaxia Martial Arts recently?” Jiang Chen asked.
“The biggest news lately has been regarding the Sword Immortal Ruins incident. Since that event, I have been keeping an eye on Hidden Sect matters, especially Tianlang Palace. Mr. Jiang, you killed Shangguan Shaogong from Tianlang Palace; they will surely seek revenge. I know you don’t take Tianlang Palace seriously, but they are cunning and treacherous—caution is advised,” Ye Xiaoying said.
“Ye Jian Sheng, there’s no need for you to worry about this matter. As you said, I truly do not regard Tianlang Palace highly,” Jiang Chen replied with a faint smile.
Ye Xiaoying decided not to mention Tianlang Palace any further but continued instead: “There’s another matter, Mr. Jiang; do you know about Dragon Martial Institute?”
"Understood," Jiang Chen nodded.
