Wang Tu spoke convincingly, and everyone felt that he was right. It was Qin Xiaoya who was being unreasonable, taking advantage of the Qin family's backing to act however she pleased.
Qin Xiaoya found herself the target of everyone's disdain. Even Yang Yuxin couldn't help but say softly, "Qin Xiaoya, just let it go. This is really over the top. I doubt he can come up with two hundred million for compensation. It's better to find a way to back down than to insist on this."
Feeling helpless, Qin Xiaoya realized she was being publicly criticized more than she had anticipated. She turned her gaze towards Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen sat in the lounge area, where the lighting was dim. People could see a figure lounging on the sofa in the shadows.
"Since Young Master Gu has spoken, Qin Xiaoya, go ahead and pour ten bottles of red wine on him," Jiang Chen said calmly.
Upon hearing Jiang Chen's instruction, Qin Xiaoya replied with a simple "Okay" and called for some red wine.
"Gu Xiangzhou, one hundred million for ten bottles of red wine, as you said," Qin Xiaoya declared, holding a bottle of opened red wine.
"I said it; you might as well pour a hundred bottles. That way, I can easily make a billion tonight, ha ha," Gu Xiangzhou laughed.
"Fine then." Qin Xiaoya smirked and walked toward Gu Xiangzhou with the wine.
Many people looked at Gu Xiangzhou enviously; it seemed too easy to make a billion like this.
"President Qin, why not pour some on me too?" one person suggested eagerly.
"Yeah, President Qin, pour some on me! A million per bottle; do whatever you want!" others chimed in excitedly.
A faint smile appeared on Qin Xiaoya's lips. Since Jiang Chen suggested pouring wine, Gu Xiangzhou was in for an unpleasant outcome.
Gu Xiangzhou grinned at Qin Xiaoya with a provocative look in his eyes.
"President Qin, go ahead! Should we get a bucket? We could pour all ten bottles into it and splash it all at once—that would be thrilling!" Gu Xiangzhou joked.
"That's not a bad idea; bring a bucket," Qin Xiaoya replied.
Soon enough, someone brought a small bucket and poured the red wine into it. The bucket was small and could only hold five bottles of wine.
"Gu Xiangzhou, don't regret this," Qin Xiaoya warned one last time as she lifted the bucket.
"I won't regret it, but President Qin, you better not go back on your word; so many people are watching," Gu Xiangzhou chuckled.
"I certainly won't regret it; I can still come up with that billion," Qin Xiaoya said with a smile. Without further ado, she splashed the red wine toward Gu Xiangzhou.
The others had already moved far away; the wine splashed directly onto Gu Xiangzhou's face.
Chapter 675: An Unpleasant Outcome
"Refreshing," Gu Xiangzhou laughed, appearing carefree. Having already lost face today, he decided to indulge himself.
"Young Master Gu, please wipe your face," Wang Tu, the sycophant, said as he held out a towel.
Gu Xiangzhou took the towel, wiped his face, and then looked at Qin Xiaoya, saying, "Let's do it again."
However, in contrast to Gu Xiangzhou's nonchalance, the others appeared somewhat taken aback, their expressions a mix of shock as they stared at him. Even Qin Xiaoya was momentarily stunned as she gazed at Gu Xiangzhou after he had wiped his face.
"Young Master, that move was too ruthless," Qin Xiaoya murmured to herself.
At that moment, Gu Xiangzhou's skin was a purplish-red hue, as if it had been soaked in a dye vat, and it simply wouldn't come off.
"What’s wrong?" Gu Xiangzhou asked when he noticed the strange looks from everyone, as if they were seeing a ghost.
"Gu, Young Master Gu, your face..." Wang Tu stammered.
"What about my face? It's just a little wine. No need to make such a fuss," Gu Xiangzhou replied dismissively, thinking that the wine had ruined his image.
