It is well known that the Young Master of the Wang family does not practice martial arts but instead focuses on literature, collecting works from various scholars. The annual You Ran Mountain Poetry Gathering was originally organized by Mr. You Ran, but after his passing over a century ago, the Young Master took over the event. During Mr. You Ran's time, he maintained a good relationship with the Jin Family, and their continuation of the Poetry Gathering has garnered the appreciation of many literati. However, it is said that the Young Master of the Jin Family has not appeared at the Poetry Gathering for a hundred years. The Jin Family operates discreetly in Yinzhou City; aside from the heir apparent of Prince Yin making appearances at significant events, the rest of the Jin Family remains mysterious, and there have been no reports of any shops hosting members of the Wang family. They seem almost ethereal, and the more elusive they are, the more the townsfolk admire them.
"Are there any particular customs I should be aware of if I attend this Poetry Gathering?" Mo Wen inquired. As they say, when in Rome, one should follow local customs; he feared that he might inadvertently offend someone by acting inappropriately.
"Not really," replied the official. "You Ran Mountain is located within Mo Bao Fang. The rules of Mo Bao Fang are inscribed on stone tablets outside the establishment. Once you arrive there, you will know what to expect. Although I can read and write, I cannot comprehend the refined words of those literati, so I cannot be of much help in that regard. If you wish to go to You Ran Mountain, you should set off soon; it takes about a day's journey to get there. Along the way, you can enjoy some sights of Yinzhou."
After leaving the Official Inn, Mo Wen did not hire a beast cart but instead walked towards You Ran Mountain. The day's journey mentioned by the official was unnecessary for him; however, he did not rush but leisurely made his way to You Ran Mountain as suggested. He had not forgotten his purpose for visiting Yinzhou City; he had failed to locate Neural Pavilion yesterday and intended to search for it today as well. Mo Wen refrained from asking the official about Neural Pavilion since it specialized in selling martial arts texts at high prices. Given his current appearance, he felt it inappropriate to inquire about such matters. Moreover, Neural Pavilion was likely a well-known establishment; at least in his imagination, it would not be an imposing structure but would still be quite significant.
Although he was searching for Neural Pavilion, he did not overlook any shops along the way. He entered every apothecary and equipment store he encountered; many herbs and materials were things he had only seen in books before. Despite Old Lu providing exquisite illustrations in his texts, nothing compared to seeing real items up close. Additionally, he wanted to acquire some scholar's accessories to enhance his appearance as a literati. When he was in Cloud Mist Forest, Old Lu had not prepared such items for him; back then, he relied on leftover matchsticks from fires and wooden sticks found in the woods. The writing tools he currently used were merely things he had randomly picked up in Moro City for emergencies and were far too simple for someone about to attend a gathering.
At the foot of You Ran Mountain in Mo Bao Fang, Mo Wen had changed into a white outfit with a plain waist belt and his hair tied up neatly. He held a folding fan and wore decorative ornaments at his waist. He was quite pleased with his appearance; after some grooming, he resembled a refined young gentleman. Of course, apart from looking somewhat youthful, everything else was satisfactory—Old Lu would hardly recognize him now.
