The name "Du Miao Sect" seems more fitting for the "Tai Chi Xuantian Sect." After reading the whimsical and casual inscription, I arrived at the entrance of the courtyard. Pushing open the gate, I looked around the small courtyard and found it somewhat shabby. Now that I was up close, I felt even more at a loss for words to describe the scene before me. The three houses were unobstructed, allowing a clear view of their interiors. In the main hall of the principal house stood a table with a few books on it, and in front of the table lay a pillow. The other two houses were empty. 0

As I crossed the small courtyard and entered the main hall, I casually picked up a book. It was a roster, and according to the stone tablet at the entrance, each sect leader served for a thousand years. This meant that the "Tai Chi Xuantian Sect" had at least 1.89 million years of history, not counting the long periods of vacancy left by leaders like the Former Sect Master who abandoned their posts when their terms ended. The inscription at the entrance was in Yin Wen, indicating that the previous sect leader had departed in ancient times. Although I did not know how to distinguish between the Ancient Era and my current era, it was clear that a significant amount of time had passed. 0

Flipping through the roster, I found that I could not recognize any of the characters at first until I reached the last few pages where about a hundred names were written in ancient Yin Wen. It seemed my hope of uncovering specific historical details about the "Tai Chi Xuantian Sect" from this roster would be in vain; aside from names, there was no additional information. However, at this moment, I was more curious about what material this book was made from, as it had remarkably survived through such long ages without damage. 0

After perusing the roster of past sect leaders, I formed a rough guess about the "long history" of Xuantian Sect. However, what concerned me more was what I could gain from this visit. Setting down the roster, I picked up a rolled-up piece of Beast Skin; it was a letter left for me by the Former Sect Master. The tone of this letter was significantly more serious than that of the stone tablet at the entrance. It began by explaining the background and context: according to the letter, the Stone Disc in my possession was called Xuantian Decree and served as a key to enter and exit this cave. The Xuantian Decree comprised Yin Decree and Yang Decree; possessing either piece would allow one to follow its guidance to this place. However, only by merging both Yin Yang Orders could one unlock Gate of the Xuantian. 0

I had always been puzzled about Gate of the Xuantian. Wasn't that grand stone door outside Gate of the Xuantian? Why was it that I opened not that grand door but rather a Small Door? If I truly inherited the mantle of Tai Chi Xuantian Sect, wouldn’t that make me a sect leader who entered through a side door? Although becoming the sect leader of Tai Chi Xuantian Sect meant little more than being a figurehead, it still held significance as being one in charge of an entire sect. While it might not be like those stories where heroes gathered to celebrate such an occasion, at least one should enter through the front door—symbolizing walking on the right path. 0

I collected my thoughts and continued reading the letter left by the Former Sect Master. Indeed, it mentioned matters concerning Gate of the Xuantian. It turned out that the imposing stone door outside was itself a trap; after enduring a certain amount of attack, it would automatically open to reveal an opulent scene depicting sect secrets within. To date, no one who entered through that door had ever returned alive. The reason for having such an imposing decoy door was said to be due to many grievances caused by past leaders of Tai Chi Xuantian Sect—having too many enemies along with their unique Kung Fu attracting numerous attempts at usurpation—hence creating what appeared to be an unassailable trap that had led countless members of Xuantian Sect to their demise. 0
