Climbing up a mountain, he stood at the summit, gazing at the scenery before him. The light filtering in from the periphery illuminated the dark clouds hanging in mid-air. The clouds rolled and churned, and flashes of lightning could be seen within their depths, yet no sound accompanied them. Apart from the swirling mists and flickering lightning, everything was still. The clouds above were darker than those outside, and the electric flashes within them were more intense, making the entire sky resemble the bottom of a pot crackling with thunder.
Before him lay a distant waterfall of mist, where the clouds in the air connected with the fog on the ground, forming a barrier of vapor that enveloped the entire Bei Yin Mountain. It was as if a gigantic sleeve had been placed over the peak, with mist intertwining with clouds. If one were unaware of the mountain's presence in between, it would appear as though a colossal mushroom of fog was growing amidst a sea of mist, its cap formed by the dark clouds above and its stem represented by the cylindrical wall.
What had begun as a single day had now stretched into three. He finally arrived at Bei Yin Mountain but had yet to reach the foot of the mountain. While traversing through the sea of fog, he discovered a massive crack ahead. This fissure seemed to encircle Bei Yin Mountain entirely, with thick mist pouring out from it and spreading outward. Although he sensed that the crack was only about twenty yards wide, his visibility was severely limited, preventing him from determining whether other dangers lurked on the other side. Thus, he hesitated to attempt crossing it.
To find a safe passage, he could only continue moving along the crack. However, upon reaching this point, he still found no way forward. Sensing a peak nearby, he decided to climb up to scout ahead. From the summit, he had a clear view above the sea of fog and witnessed the scene before him. It became evident that finding a way to cross the fissure through observation would be impossible; everything below was shrouded in mist, obscuring any details. The light he had seen earlier had vanished—was it only visible within the fog? With a mindset of trying his luck, he descended from the mountain, keeping an eye out for any sign of light along his way. Yet that light did not reappear until he reached the foot of the mountain.
Taking out a stone tablet, he noticed that a character for "Token" appeared on its back. Realizing this, Mo Wen deduced that this stone tablet was likely a token—perhaps even one required to enter Bei Yin Mountain. With this thought in mind, his initial intention to abandon his quest was swiftly cast aside.
"With this token in hand, I have treasure!" he exclaimed with a laugh, feeling somewhat envious of his own fortune. Initially following Xiao Hei into the underground Melted Cave led him to acquire Yang Yan Gold; later in Qilin Cave, he obtained both Yin Yang Stone and Shuang Sheng Lian. Most importantly, he gained Old Qilin's Law for refining techniques. As for what Old Qilin referred to as his final gift before leaving—he still had no idea what it was. He had found refuge in a cave and obtained Square Inch World... Now by sheer chance, he had arrived at Bei Yin Mountain with this token in hand. The potential treasures hidden within filled his eyes with excitement.
He took out a Beast Muscle Rope and secured the stone tablet across his chest. Although this position looked somewhat awkward, it allowed him to check on the tablet easily whenever necessary; after all, there was no one around to witness his peculiar appearance. After clearly seeing the character "令," he initially planned to attempt refining it since carrying it would be much more convenient that way. However, this wasn't an ideal place for such actions; who knew what might happen if he invoked Law of Power here? It would be better to wait until he found the source of that light before making any plans.
