Jiang Chen and Qin Xiaoya were still seated in the lounge area. In this situation, Qin Xiaoya had only come out of a sense of obligation; she didn't enjoy it. Noticing that Jiang Chen remained silent, she said, "Mr. Jiang, I'm going to collect the debt."
Jiang Chen nodded.
"Collect a debt? What debt?" Yang Yuxin asked, confused. Seeing Qin Xiaoya stand up, she hurriedly followed suit.
Gu Xiangzhou was still chatting with Wu Xiangli when he noticed Qin Xiaoya and Yang Yuxin approaching, his attention immediately drawn to them.
"Oh, I didn't expect President Qin to be here! And isn't this the beautiful Yuxin?" Gu Xiangzhou said with a grin, as they all belonged to the same circle in the capital.
Qin Xiaoya ignored Gu Xiangzhou and instead looked past him at Wang Tu. Wang Tu seemed more confident tonight, especially with Gu Xiangzhou backing him up; Qin Xiaoya wouldn't make things too difficult for him.
"Your memory seems to be lacking. Don't you remember that you still owe money?" Qin Xiaoya said coldly as she stared at Wang Tu.
"Miss Qin, I only have one hundred thousand to offer as compensation. If you think that's acceptable, we can settle this for that amount. If not, then I guess we can't continue this conversation," Wang Tu replied with a smile, maintaining his composure.
"One hundred thousand? Ha! It's actually two hundred million now. You must pay that amount; whether you want to or not, you have to," Qin Xiaoya said, her lips curling into a slight smile that radiated undeniable confidence.
"Ha ha, Miss Qin, don't scare me. Can we be a bit more realistic? The more you talk like this, the less credible it sounds. You can't just make outrageous demands like that! All I did was spill some wine on those two losers. If anything, they can spill wine on me in return! Two hundred million? Miss Qin, think about it—how is that even possible?" Wang Tu exclaimed in disbelief before breaking into laughter.
Gu Xiangzhou chuckled as well. He had personally called Qin Xiaoya about this matter yesterday, but she had hung up on him without a second thought, leaving him quite annoyed. Naturally, he dismissed her claim of two hundred million as nonsensical.
"President Qin, are you saying that if the debt isn't repaid soon, it will multiply tenfold to twenty billion?" Gu Xiangzhou joked.
"That's very likely," Qin Xiaoya replied with a serious expression.
"Ha ha! Is your family having cash flow issues lately? It seems like you're going a bit crazy over money," Gu Xiangzhou mocked since what Qin Xiaoya was saying was indeed unrealistic.
Qin Xiaoya snorted lightly. In the past, such statements might have seemed far-fetched coming from her; however, now she represented Jiang Chen's interests, and this was no joke.
"Gu Xiangzhou, this matter does not concern you. I hope you'll step aside and not interfere; otherwise, it won't end well for you," Qin Xiaoya said coldly.
"Ha ha! It doesn't concern me? But I can't help but stand up for fairness. President Qin, do you think just because you have the Qin family backing you, you can bully others at will? Besides, Wang Tu is a member of my car club—how could I ignore this? For my sake, let’s settle for one million in compensation," Gu Xiangzhou said in a commanding tone.
"I won't say it again: Gu Xiangzhou, this matter has nothing to do with you. Step aside," Qin Xiaoya's expression turned icy as she spoke with an air of authority.
