After the training session, Ao Long Wang summoned Ao Bing to his private study, his expression grave.
"Ao Bing, your speculation about 'Yuan' is likely correct," Ao Long Wang stated directly. "I have dispatched a reconnaissance team, and they have confirmed unusual fluctuations in Yuan Energy in the deep sea region."
Ao Bing's heart tightened. "How serious is the situation?"
"It's still within a controllable range for now," Ao Long Wang replied. "But the frequency of the fluctuations is increasing, which means the seal is weakening. If this continues to deteriorate, we may only have a few months to prepare."
Ao Bing clenched his fists. "We need to find a way to reinforce the seal as soon as possible."
Ao Long Wang pondered for a moment. "Ancient texts mention that sealing 'Yuan' required the combined powers of the Dragon Tribe, humans, and the Demon Orb. Perhaps we need the same combination now."
Ao Bing's eyes brightened. "Nezha's Demon Sphere Power!"
Ao Long Wang nodded. "Exactly. Your partnership with Nezha might be fate's arrangement."
As Ao Bing left the Dragon Palace, his emotions were complex and heavy. On one hand, he felt a sense of mission regarding the important roles he and Nezha might play; on the other hand, he was acutely aware that this meant they would face unprecedented dangers.
When Ao Bing returned to his apartment, Nezha was already busy in the kitchen preparing dinner. Upon seeing Ao Bing come back, Nezha flashed a tired but happy smile.
"How was training?" Nezha asked while stirring a pan.
"It was very rewarding but exhausting," Ao Bing replied honestly. "However, seeing you cooking makes all the hard work worth it."
Nezha smiled and waved the spatula. "Don't worry, this time I'm strictly following the recipe and won't mess up the seasonings."
Dinner turned out to be much more successful than Nezha's previous attempts; at least the food tasted within normal range. The two exchanged updates on their training and new discoveries as they ate.
"Aunt Taiyi taught me many new ways to control my Demon Sphere Power," Nezha said excitedly. "Before, I always relied on brute force, but now I understand that true mastery comes from inner peace and trust."
Ao Bing nodded with a smile. "It sounds like you've made great progress." Then his expression turned serious. "My father confirmed my speculation about 'Yuan.' The situation is not optimistic; the seal is weakening."
Nezha set down his chopsticks, his expression becoming grave. "How much time do we have?"
"A few months, maybe even less," Ao Bing answered. "More importantly, ancient texts record that sealing 'Yuan' required cooperation between the Dragon Tribe, humans, and the Demon Orb."
Nezha immediately understood Ao Bing's implication. "So, it's us two..."
Ao Bing nodded. "Yes, we might be key in combating 'Yuan.' The bloodline of the Dragon Tribe combined with the power of the Demon Orb, along with the bond between us—this combination has never existed in history."
Nezha was silent for a moment before resolutely saying, "No matter what happens, I will fight alongside you. If fate has chosen us, then we will accept this challenge."
Ao Bing reached out and took Nezha's hand. "So will I. No matter what we face, we will not back down."
The two exchanged determined smiles, their eyes reflecting unwavering resolve.
In the days that followed, Nezha and Ao Bing doubled their efforts in training, trying to enhance their strength as much as possible within the limited time. Nezha trained daily with Taiyi Zhenren, delving deep into the potential of the Demon Sphere Power. Meanwhile, Ao Bing adhered to the ancient methods of the Dragon Tribe, strengthening his control and understanding of Water System energy.
At the same time, they did not neglect their respective pursuits. Nezha continued to participate in training and matches with the Football Club, although he sometimes felt drained due to his secret training sessions. Ao Bing pressed on with the reforms of the Dragon Tribe and his studies, despite facing unprecedented pressure.
