One morning, Nezha woke up earlier than usual and tiptoed into the kitchen. Today was Ao Bing's birthday, and he decided to cook a surprise for him. 0

"Let me see, first I need to beat the eggs..." Nezha murmured to himself as he clumsily attempted to make an Omurice, following a recipe on his phone. 0

Ao Bing usually woke up early, but today he had stayed up late dealing with matters in the Dragon Palace, so he was enjoying a rare extra hour of sleep. As he groggily stepped out of his bedroom, he was taken aback by the scene in the kitchen—pots and pans were scattered everywhere, flour and egg liquid covered the countertop, and Nezha was frantically trying to manage a nearly burnt frying pan. 0

"Nezha? What are you doing?" Ao Bing rubbed his eyes, making sure he wasn't dreaming. 0

Nezha jumped at the sudden voice, causing him to jolt and splatter egg liquid from the pan, nearly burning his hand. "Ao Bing! You... you’re up? I wanted to surprise you..." 0

It then dawned on Ao Bing that it was indeed his birthday. His heart warmed as he stepped forward to turn off the gas. "Thank you for your kindness, but this is too dangerous. What made you suddenly want to cook?" 0

Nezha looked dejectedly at the burnt mess in the pan. "I wanted to make you an Omurice... I remember you said you liked it. But it seems my cooking skills are just too poor." 0

Ao Bing couldn't help but laugh at this football genius who was so capable on the field yet so clumsy in the kitchen. "It's okay, let's do it together. First, we need to clean the pan and start over." 0

Under Ao Bing's guidance, Nezha relearned the basics of beating eggs, cooking rice, and stir-frying. Although he still fumbled through the process, at least he didn’t create any more kitchen disasters. 0

In the end, a plate of Omurice that looked somewhat presentable was placed on the dining table. Its shape might have been irregular, but it was made with care. 0

"Give it a try," Nezha said nervously as he watched Ao Bing. "I hope it tastes alright." 0

Ao Bing cut a small piece and put it in his mouth, immediately hit by an overwhelming salty flavor that nearly made him frown. Clearly, Nezha had been too generous with the salt. 0

But seeing Nezha's hopeful gaze, Ao Bing forced himself to swallow the overly salty Omurice and smiled. "It's quite good; thank you for your birthday gift." 0

Nezha took a bite as well and immediately grimaced at the saltiness. "Oh my god, this is way too salty! Ao Bing, you don’t have to force yourself to eat it. Let’s go out for breakfast instead." 0

However, Ao Bing insisted on finishing it. "No, this is your first meal cooked by hand; I’m going to eat it all." 0

Watching Ao Bing eat bite after bite of the excessively salty Omurice filled Nezha with warmth. This Dragon Prince, who usually had high standards for food, was willing to endure such culinary disaster just to spare his feelings. 0

"Ao Bing," Nezha said softly, "thank you." 0

Ao Bing set down his chopsticks and wiped his mouth with a napkin. "No need to thank me. This is the most meaningful meal I’ve ever had." 0

A glimmer of determination flashed in Nezha's eyes. "I will work hard to learn how to cook; one day I will prepare a delicious feast for you!" 0

Ao Bing nodded with a smile. "I look forward to that day. But until then, let me handle the kitchen." 0

Such everyday moments made up most of their life together—no earth-shattering adventures or life-and-death battles—just the simple and genuine aspects of daily life. Yet it was these seemingly ordinary times that deepened their bond more than anything else could. 0
