The sedan slowly approached, and Nezha was astonished to discover that among the crowd at the school gate were students, teachers, and even many strangers dressed in formal suits. They seemed to be waiting for someone important to arrive.
"Could it be... waiting for us?" Nezha asked incredulously.
Ao Bing was equally surprised. "It looks like it."
The car stopped in front of the school gate, and Nezha and Ao Bing hesitated for a moment before deciding to get out. As the door opened, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause and cheers, with flashes of cameras going off, momentarily blinding Nezha.
"Senior Nezha!" "Your Highness the Dragon Prince!" "The hero has returned!"
Various shouts intertwined, leaving Nezha completely bewildered. He instinctively stepped in front of Ao Bing, watching the crowd warily. "What's going on? How do they know...?"
The principal and a group of professors emerged from the crowd, their faces beaming with warm smiles. The principal kindly patted Nezha on the shoulder. "Welcome back, Li Nezha! Welcome back, Ao Bing! Your heroic deeds have spread throughout the entire campus—no, the whole city!"
Nezha looked confused. "But... no one should know about our situation."
The principal shook his head with a smile. "You don’t know? The entire Dragon Tribe is celebrating your victory; the news media has been reporting on it for several days." He pointed to the strangers in suits. "Look, those are reporters; they all want to interview the heroes who saved the Dragon Tribe."
Ao Bing frowned. "How could news of the Dragon Tribe reach the human world? My father has always been low-key in his dealings."
The principal gestured for them to step away from the noisy crowd and into a nearby lounge area. "Here’s the thing: three days ago, after Lady Shiji's residual soul was completely purified, the ocean suddenly became remarkably calm. All fishing boats reported that the sea felt 'gentler,' and their catches increased significantly. Meanwhile, natural disasters like tsunamis and hurricanes around the globe miraculously subsided. Meteorologists couldn't explain this phenomenon until the Dragon Tribe took the initiative to contact human governments and explained everything."
"The Dragon Tribe took the initiative to expose this?" Ao Bing asked in surprise. "That doesn’t align with my father's style."
The principal nodded. "Yes, it is indeed unusual. However, according to a spokesperson from the Dragon Tribe, this was King Ao Long's decision. He believes it's time for humans to understand the truth—who saved the world."
Nezha and Ao Bing exchanged glances, both seeing surprise and a hint of unease in each other's eyes. King Ao Long's boldness surely had deeper implications.
"So now everyone knows about Lady Shiji and the Dragon Tribe?" Nezha asked cautiously.
"Yes," replied the principal, "including your identity as 'Child of the Demon Sphere' and Ao Bing's identity as 'the Dragon Prince.' But don’t worry; people are filled with respect and gratitude towards you both now, especially towards you, Nezha."
Nezha sighed in relief but then thought of something else. "So... will I be allowed to return to school?"
The principal laughed heartily. "Of course! Not only that, but the school board has decided to grant both of you full scholarships in recognition of your bravery. Moreover, the Ministry of Education has called expressing interest in including your story in textbooks as an example for young people."
Nezha was completely stunned; he had never imagined he would one day become a "role model." Ao Bing smiled and patted him on the shoulder. "It seems 'Child of the Demon Sphere' has now become synonymous with heroism."
