The journey to the East Sea was disappointing. Nezha and Aunt Taiyi had waited on the shore all night, yet there was no sign of the Li Yang Sect, nor any trace of the rumored ritual. Everything was as Ao Bing had said—Shen Gongbao's information was either incorrect or, worse, a deliberate misdirection.
At dawn, the two returned to the school, exhausted. Aunt Taiyi looked at Nezha with concern. "Maybe Ao Bing is right; we were too trusting of Shen Gongbao."
Nezha nodded silently, feeling both disheartened and confused. The argument with Ao Bing, the fruitless trip to the East Sea, and Shen Gongbao's disappearance all intertwined in his mind, leaving him drained.
"Let's go back and rest," Aunt Taiyi said, patting his shoulder. "Things will eventually become clear."
Back in the dormitory, Nezha collapsed onto his bed and quickly fell into a deep sleep. In his dreams, he saw Ao Bing trapped in a blue ice prison while Shen Gongbao stood nearby with a mysterious smile; he saw a massive altar covered in enigmatic runes, with himself locked in the center surrounded by shadowy figures in black robes...
"Nezha! Wake up!"
The dream was interrupted by a familiar voice. Nezha jolted awake, surprised to find Shen Gongbao sitting at his bedside, wearing his usual gentle smile.
"Professor Shen?!" Nezha sat up abruptly, alertly staring at him. "Where have you been? Why did you suddenly disappear?"
Shen Gongbao raised his hands in a gesture of peace. "Don't be alarmed; I'm here to tell you the truth. I only dared to show myself after confirming that Aunt Taiyi wasn't around your dorm."
"What truth?" Nezha squinted, remaining cautious. "The information you gave me led us on a wild goose chase to the East Sea and wasted precious time."
Shen Gongbao sighed. "That was a temporary measure. I had to do it to protect you and to make the real enemy lower their guard."
Nezha felt even more confused. "What do you mean? Who is the real enemy?"
"Before I answer that question," Shen Gongbao slowly stood up and walked to the window, turning his back to Nezha, "I want to talk to you about your true identity—the truth about the Magic Orb Reincarnation."
This opening line immediately caught Nezha's attention. He knew almost nothing about the origins of the Demon Orb beyond his parents' vague explanations.
"The Demon Orb is not the evil force people imagine it to be," Shen Gongbao turned around, his eyes shimmering with an unusual light. "It is a crystallization of ancient divine power, containing the potential to change the world. Thousands of years ago, a powerful being named Primordial Origin foresaw that this power would one day impact the world and sealed it away as an elixir, scattering it into reincarnation."
Nezha furrowed his brow. "So the Demon Orb is not an evil thing? Why do people see it as a disaster?"
"Because of fear," Shen Gongbao smiled slightly. "Humans have always feared powerful unknown forces. The Demon Orb does indeed possess immense destructive capability but also boundless creativity. The key lies in how its holder chooses to use it."
Shen Gongbao approached Nezha, his voice becoming deep and magnetic. "The Demon Sphere Power within you is far stronger than you realize. Currently, you can only manipulate fire and electricity, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Theoretically, you can control all elemental forces of nature and even influence the flow of time and space."
Nezha's eyes widened in shock. "That... that's impossible!"
"Not only possible but inevitable," Shen Gongbao affirmed confidently. "You just haven't fully awakened yet. The power of the Demon Orb will gradually manifest as its holder grows. At your current rate, in a few years, you will become one of the most powerful beings in this world."
