Half an hour later, Aunt Taiyi arrived at Nezha's dormitory. She looked much more serious than usual, but her eyes were still filled with concern.
"Pack some necessary things," she said. "The principal has agreed to let you stay with me temporarily to avoid the spotlight."
Nezha nodded silently, grabbing a few pieces of clothing and toiletries to stuff into his backpack. Just as he was about to leave, his phone buzzed again with a message from Shen Gongbao:
"The situation is urgent. Do not use the front entrance; come to my office via the back mountain path. I need to speak with you."
Nezha frowned and handed the phone to Aunt Taiyi. "It's from Professor Shen Gongbao. He wants me to go to his office."
Aunt Taiyi took the phone, a flicker of caution crossing her eyes. "This message... seems suspicious. Shen Gongbao's recent behavior has indeed been unusual, but I'm not sure if he is friend or foe."
"I think we should see the principal first," Nezha decided. "We can deal with Shen Gongbao later."
Aunt Taiyi nodded in agreement and led Nezha out of the dormitory through the back door. However, as soon as they stepped outside, they were confronted by a group of students who had been waiting for them. Some were filming with their phones, while others shouted, "Look, the Demon Orb is out! Everyone be careful!"
Nezha instinctively shrank back, trying to hide his face, but it was too late. Aunt Taiyi immediately stepped in front of him and sternly scolded the students:
"Stop right there! This is basic respect for your fellow students! Disperse immediately, or I will report your inappropriate behavior to the school!"
Aunt Taiyi's authority intimidated some of the students, but a few remained relentless:
"He’s the Demon Orb! He could hurt us at any moment! How can the school allow someone like him to stay on campus?"
Those words ignited a fire of anger within Nezha. He suddenly stepped out from behind Aunt Taiyi, his eyes almost blazing with fury:
"What do you know?! So what if I'm the Demon Orb? When have I ever harmed anyone?!"
In his rage, the energy within Nezha began to surge; his hair stood on end without wind, and red sparks flickered at his fingertips. The onlooking students gasped and recoiled, some even screaming that he was going to kill someone.
"Nezha! Calm down!" Aunt Taiyi tightly grasped Nezha's wrist and whispered urgently, "Don't let your anger control you; that's exactly what they want to see."
Nezha took a deep breath, forcing himself to suppress the swirling energy inside him. He looked around and saw only fear, disgust, and rejection in their eyes—there was not a hint of understanding or acceptance. In that moment, he felt an unprecedented sense of loneliness and helplessness.
"Let's go," Aunt Taiyi gently pulled on his arm. "Ignore these people."
The two hurried along until they finally reached the administration building. Outside the principal's office, several school leaders and security personnel were already waiting. Their expressions varied; some showed clear concern while others maintained a professional calmness.
Principal Wu Mingde was a kind old man known for his open-mindedness. He gestured for Nezha to enter the office while leaving everyone else outside.
"Please sit down, Nezha," the principal indicated towards a sofa with a gentle tone. "I regret that such an incident has occurred."
Nezha sat down anxiously, unsure of what decision awaited him next. Would the principal fear and reject him like those students?
"First of all," the principal said as he looked directly into Nezha's eyes, "I want to confirm whether the rumors about your... special abilities are true?"
