"I'm sorry," Nezha finally said softly, "I was too selfish, only thinking about my own feelings without considering your situation and our reality."
Ao Bing shook his head. "No, Nezha, it is your impulsiveness and sincerity that make me cherish our relationship so much. You always show me different possibilities, even if those possibilities may never come to fruition."
Nezha gazed deeply at Ao Bing, the love in his heart nearly overflowing. "Ao Bing, no matter what the future holds, I will never forget you or the feelings we share."
Ao Bing smiled slightly, a smile filled with both happiness and helplessness. "I feel the same way, Nezha. No matter where I am, I will remember this time, the joy and emotion you have brought into my life."
The two exchanged smiles, and in that moment, all worries and anxieties temporarily faded away, leaving only pure love and happiness.
As the sun set, they reluctantly left the mountaintop and began their journey home. Along the way, Ao Bing suddenly stopped, reaching into his pocket to pull out a necklace—a crystal-clear blue gem that looked almost identical to the one Nezha wore around his neck.
"This is a traditional token of the Dragon Tribe; it is a pair with the one you have," Ao Bing explained. "They share a special connection and can sense each other's presence. In the future, if you miss me, you can feel my essence through it; if you find yourself in danger, it will also provide some protection."
Nezha looked at the new crystal in surprise. "I thought there was only one?"
Ao Bing smiled gently. "There was originally only one, but during my time in the Dragon Palace, I specifically asked my father to make a second one for me. This way, we can always feel each other's presence, no matter how far apart we are."
Nezha took the crystal, feeling its warm energy surge within him, an indescribable emotion welling up in his heart. "Thank you, Ao Bing. I will wear it always, as if you are by my side."
Ao Bing nodded, his eyes sparkling with tenderness. "I will wear the other one too, feeling your presence."
They exchanged smiles once more; this pair of crystal necklaces would become their special connection, transcending time and space to link their loving hearts together.
After returning to the dormitory, Nezha suggested watching a movie together. Ao Bing readily agreed, and the two sat side by side on the bed, sharing a laptop. The film was a love story about parting and reunion, with a warm and touching plot that occasionally reminded them of the separation they were soon to face.
As the movie ended, Nezha discreetly wiped away a tear from the corner of his eye, not wanting Ao Bing to see his vulnerability. However, Ao Bing noticed and gently took his hand.
"Nezha," Ao Bing said softly, "I want you to know that no matter what happens in the future, our feelings for each other are real. This isn’t a movie; there are no perfect endings, but our bond won’t fade because of distance."
Nezha tightly grasped Ao Bing's hand, feeling that warmth and determination. "I believe in us, Ao Bing. I believe our love will overcome any obstacles."
That night, they nestled together, whispering as they shared their dreams, fears, and hopes. They reminisced about the awkwardness of their first meeting, the little joys of living together, and the challenges they had faced together... every memory was precious, every moment worth cherishing.
As dawn broke in the east, they reluctantly closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep. In their dreams, there were no distinctions between the Dragon Tribe and humans, no burdens of responsibility or obligation—only pure love and happiness.
