"Haha, then I shall not be polite." He whistled, and Mo Wen knew that Erniu was signaling his companions to come over.
"Then I won't disturb you any longer. I bid you farewell," Mo Wen said again as he turned to leave.
"Xiaoxia, please stay."
"What else do you wish to discuss?"
"I hope you will forgive my boldness, but may I ask where you are headed?"
"It's nothing to hide; I am on my way to Lianyun Kingdom."
"How fortunate! We are from Lianyun Kingdom and often travel through this forest. We came here for a hunt and were just about to return. If you do not mind, please join us on the way. Our village is right at the edge of this forest; you can rest there for a while, and it would be my pleasure to repay your kindness for saving my life." Mo Wen had been waiting for Erniu to say this, and Erniu had his own plans. The young man across from him had effortlessly dispatched the Demon Beast that had given him such trouble; his realm of cultivation was undoubtedly much higher than his own. Having such a skilled companion on the way back would make the journey much smoother. Besides, if someone truly intended to harm him, they wouldn't have saved him in the first place. Moreover, he had nothing of value that others would covet. Thus, both men had their thoughts aligned and reached an agreement.

Soul, Return! Back to where you once dwelled! The heavens and earth abound with treachery..." A chorus of men shouted as they called forth the souls of their departed comrades; this was surely a form of ritualistic mourning echoing through the mountains and forests.
