In a clearing among the trees, Zi Lan stood beside Mo Wen as they watched the woods across from them. Gradually, about twenty people emerged from the forest—fifteen or sixteen young individuals armed with weapons, cautiously eyeing Mo Wen. Behind them were five middle-aged men dressed in Zi Yi who parted the crowd and walked to the front of the group, raising their hands to signal everyone to lower their weapons.
"Lan'er! We finally found you! What are you doing here?" The leading middle-aged man in Zi Yi appeared exceptionally happy upon seeing Zi Lan and quickly approached Mo Wen and Zi Lan.
