My master, Yue Chongyao, is a prominent figure in the martial world. Whether it’s the newcomers just stepping into the scene or the seasoned veterans who have been through countless battles, everyone knows the name of the Poison King. Those who have already made a name for themselves, like the great sharks of the martial arts community, are even more aware. Yet, even they only know of the Poison King and have never seen his true face. 0

Not everyone can endure the life of a martial artist; each has their own quirks. Master Yue's peculiarity is his reclusive nature. He avoids contact with others, and aside from me, my senior sister, and my other master, Sun Zi Zhou, no one has ever caught a glimpse of his true self. 0

Those who have tried to befriend him either found themselves lost or met their demise on the road to Wan Poison Palace, never even catching sight of the Poison King Palace. 0

Among them was Chen Yiqin, the leader of the Thirty-Six Clans of Jiangbei, who had made quite a name for himself two decades ago. A formidable hero in his own right, he ranked second on the martial arts leaderboard at that time. Together with his deputy Hu Yaonan, he gathered a group of notable figures from the martial world and traveled great distances to seek an audience with the Poison King. 0

Knowing well that the path to Wan Poison Palace was fraught with danger—many martial artists had perished before even reaching the gates of Poison King Palace—Chen Yiqin and his companions were particularly cautious. They displayed their skills and fought their way through numerous challenges, surviving against all odds. By the time they arrived at the entrance of Poison King Palace, only Chen Yiqin remained as a lone hero. 0

This old leader watched helplessly as his brothers fell one by one before him. His feelings toward the lofty Poison King were mixed with love and hate, creating an internal conflict that led him to resolve that he would see the Poison King at all costs, to give an account for the seventy-eight brothers who had perished. 0

Unfortunately, this old hero met a tragic end on the road outside Poison King Palace, falling victim to a trap set by Master Yue—the Floating Punishment Formation (a toxic array composed of eighty-one deadly poisons). Like others before him, he never even touched the front gate. However, he was perhaps the closest outsider to reach Poison King Palace up to that point. 0

In response to this incident, Master Yue instructed my senior sister and me to handle the bodies with Hua Shi Shui and not forget to sprinkle some sake afterward. This wasn’t a ritual for Chen Yiqin’s soul but rather to mask the stench of death with sake. 0

Thus, in the eyes of the world, Wan Poison Palace remains as mysterious and sinister as its master. No one in the martial world knows what occurs within Poison King Palace or whether the Poison King has any disciples—and if so, how many. 0

Since Liuzi could make such remarks, it was clear that Third Granduncle Master and others had thoroughly investigated my identity but remained completely unaware of Poison King Yue Chongyao's background or even my senior sister's existence. 0

I recalled Old Ge mentioning that it was his disciple who had caused Poison King's demise. That "disciple" clearly wasn’t me; it must have been my senior sister. Hence my outburst at that time: “Who dares to speak nonsense? Ask Old Ge! Ask A Li! Ask Old Qiao! See if your precious senior sister killed Poison King Yue Chongyao!” 0

They had somehow caught wind of this news and naturally assumed that I was responsible for the death of Yue Master. 0

If I were to explain this matter, it would mean admitting to two facts: that "Yue Master is dead" and "my senior sister is the real culprit." Of course, that was complete nonsense—utterly ridiculous! I would never admit to it, no matter what. 0

But if I didn’t explain, I would bear the unjust label of plotting against my own master, a heinous crime throughout history. It was truly unfair. 0

Just as I hesitated, A Li came to my rescue: “You fat bastard, stop spouting nonsense! I, Brother Qian Yi, was in Xi'an at the time, discussing tea and philosophy with the old master of Emerald Villa, Kui Liu Ye! You’ve heard of Yu Qinglong and Kui Liu Ye, right? If you don’t believe me, go visit him. But let me give you a heads-up: Emerald Villa only welcomes guests, not dogs!” 0

“Who the hell are you cursing at? You better watch your mouth or I’ll tear it apart!” Sixzi sneered. “But before I rip your top mouth apart, let’s see about that bottom one… Ouch!” 0

Just then, a flash of red light appeared, and Sixzi’s hand flew to his mouth, covered in blood. Everyone thought it was me or A Li who had attacked him and jumped up in alarm. However, wary of the poison on me, they exchanged glances without daring to be the first to charge forward. 0

At that moment, Sixzi howled and loosened his grip. Suddenly, a Meteor Monster erupted from his mouth with a hissing sound. When everyone looked closer, they saw that Sixzi’s jaw had vanished; blood poured down like vomit from beneath his lips. In the pool of blood on his chest lay what seemed to be a piece of flesh, with hints of exposed jawbone visible inside. 0

No one had ever witnessed such a scene before; everyone was momentarily stunned into silence. A couple even started retching. Suddenly, another person let out a horrified scream. Looking up, they saw a massive swarm of Meteor Monsters descending upon them like a mountain—far more than in previous encounters. The hissing sound made their scalps tingle; it was as if an entire nest had been unleashed. 0

Finally snapping back to reality, everyone frantically swung their weapons in every direction while cries and curses filled the air. 0

In the chaos, someone shouted angrily: “Hey you over there! Aren’t you supposed to be good with poison? Hurry up and use it again! Stop whining!” 0

I thought to myself that the poison powder was nearly depleted; I had emptied my entire stash just to save them. And now I was being blamed? In this world, being a good person truly didn’t pay off! 0

Just as I was about to retort, I reconsidered. If I ran out of supplies now, these people would no longer fear me as they did before. That would be extremely disadvantageous for us in the future. 0

As he swung his stick, he shouted, "What the hell do you know! Are you looking to die even faster? If I release more poison, do you want to perish along with these Meteor Monsters? I can certainly help you with that!" 0

The guy immediately fell silent, probably worried about his own life. 0

A Li skillfully wielded her Nine-Tailed Whip, managing to fend off nearly half of the Meteor Monsters. Third Granduncle Master, that old fox, used his Border Defense while keeping a close eye on A Li, seemingly doubting her identity. However, it was impossible to tell A Li to stop now. 0

I had a sudden idea and moved closer to Third Granduncle Master. " Third Granduncle Master, this isn't a solution. Has your strategist found an exit yet?" 0

At my reminder, Third Granduncle Master seemed to recall the matter of the strategist and turned to call out to the Witch, "Huang Fuzi!" 0

The Witch appeared to have been waiting for Third Granduncle Master's call! (That woman probably found the way out long ago but chose to wait until everyone was on the brink of collapse to show off her importance. Damn it, working with Tu Fuzi really is all the same!) Waving her dragon-headed iron staff mysteriously, she shouted at us, "Yes! There’s a secret passage in the water, but... it's blocked by rocks!" 0
