Ao Bing glanced at Nezha and then turned to the rain pouring outside, finally nodding as if he had made a decision. "Yes, I can control water." 0

"Wow!" Nezha exclaimed excitedly. "That's so cool! I control fire and electricity, and you control water. We're practically a superhero team!" 0

Ao Bing chuckled at Nezha's childlike reaction, the tense atmosphere instantly dissipating. "This isn't a game, Nezha. This ability comes with not just fun but also responsibility and risks." 0

"I know, I know," Nezha said, his smile fading slightly but still sparkling with excitement in his eyes. "But you have to admit, it's really cool, isn't it?" 0

Ao Bing shook his head helplessly, though the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth betrayed his true feelings. "Yes, sometimes it is... quite fun." 0

"So," Nezha leaned closer to Ao Bing, curiosity shining in his eyes, "how did you discover you had this ability?" 0

Ao Bing's expression grew complex again. "That's a long story..." 0

"We have plenty of time," Nezha said enthusiastically, gesturing to the heavy rain outside. "Look at this downpour; we can't go anywhere tonight." 0

Seeing the eager look in Nezha's eyes, Ao Bing hesitated for a moment before finally nodding. "Alright, but I can only tell you part of it." 0

He walked back to the bed and sat down, gesturing for Nezha to join him. Nezha eagerly sat across from Ao Bing, like a child waiting for a story. 0

"My ability is innate," Ao Bing began, his voice soft and steady. "When I was very young, my father discovered it. At first, it was just that the water would automatically turn on and off when my emotions fluctuated or take on various shapes while I was bathing." 0

"Just like how I accidentally set the curtains on fire when I was little," Nezha interjected, understanding glimmering in his eyes. 0

Ao Bing nodded, "My father did not panic; instead, he calmly accepted this fact. He began to teach me how to control this ability, how to use it when needed, and how to hide it in daily life." 0

"Does your father know the source of this ability?" Nezha asked curiously. 0

Ao Bing's expression turned somewhat sad. "He knew, but he never fully told me. He only said it was a matter of... heredity. On my eighteenth birthday, he gave me an ancient book and said that when I was ready, I would understand everything." 0

"But he now..." Nezha asked cautiously, noticing that Ao Bing used the past tense when mentioning his father. 0

"He passed away," Ao Bing replied briefly, his voice calm but a hint of pain flickered in his eyes. "It was an accident a year ago. That’s why I came to this university, trying to find some answers." 0

"I'm sorry," Nezha said softly, unsure of how to comfort him. 0

Ao Bing shook his head, signaling that there was no need for apologies. "Life and death are fated. What matters is that I must find my own path and understand my identity and mission." 0

"Mission?" Nezha picked up on the word keenly. 0

Ao Bing seemed to realize he had said too much and quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, that's the origin of my ability. Now it's your turn; tell me how you discovered you could control fire and electricity?" 0

Nezha wanted to press further but saw that Ao Bing clearly did not want to continue on that topic, so he decided to respect his wishes. "My story isn't as mysterious. When I was four years old, I had a high fever that reached over forty degrees Celsius. My parents were terrified and rushed me to the hospital overnight. Strangely enough, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all; instead, I felt a surge of power throughout my body." 0

Ao Bing listened intently, his eyes filled with curiosity. 0
