The moon rose, casting its silver light over the fields. 0

Xiao You and A Ze walked slowly along the ridge, making their way back. 0

“A Ze, let me tell you a story,” Xiao You suddenly said. 0

“Sure,” A Ze nodded. 0

“Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved fireflies…” Xiao You began her tale. 0

Her voice was soft and gentle, like the summer night breeze, lightly caressing A Ze's heart. 0

A Ze listened quietly, realizing that Xiao You's storytelling was even more captivating than the glow of the fireflies. 0

The story Xiao You told was about a girl named Xiao Ying and her friendship with a firefly named Dian Dian. 0

Xiao Ying was a lonely girl without friends, except for the firefly Dian Dian who kept her company. 0

Dian Dian was a special firefly; its light shone brighter than all the others, and it could talk. 0

Xiao Ying and Dian Dian played together, sang together, and shared their secrets with one another. 0

They spent countless wonderful nights together until one day, Dian Dian told Xiao Ying that it had to leave. 0

Xiao Ying felt very sad; she didn’t want to part with Dian Dian. 0

But Dian Dian explained that it had to return to its own place and could not stay with Xiao Ying forever. 0

Although Xiao Ying felt reluctant, she understood that she had to let Dian Dian go, allowing it to return to the home of fireflies. 0

Even though she lost Dian Dian, she did not feel lonely, for she knew that Dian Dian would always remain in her heart, and their friendship would never fade away. 0

The story came to an end, and Xiao You looked at A Ze, asking, “A Ze, what do you think of this story?” 0

A Ze remained silent for a moment before replying, “It’s very touching.” 0

He felt that the story was like Xiao You telling her own tale. 0

He wanted to ask Xiao You if she had ever had a firefly friend like Dian Dian, just as Xiao Ying did. 0

But he held back the question, thinking it was Xiao You's secret that he should not pry into. 0

They arrived at Grandma's house, and Xiao You stopped in her tracks. 0

“A Ze, I’m here,” she said. 0

A Ze nodded. “Mm.” 0

“Will you come again tomorrow?” Xiao You asked. 0

A Ze looked at her; her eyes sparkled in the moonlight, filled with anticipation. 0

“Yes,” A Ze replied without hesitation. 0

Xiao You smiled and waved at A Ze. "See you tomorrow!" 0

"See you tomorrow," A Ze replied. 0

Xiao You walked into the courtyard and closed the door behind her. 0

A Ze stood at the door, gazing at the closed entrance, feeling a warmth in his heart. 0

He turned around and slowly walked back home along the path he had come. 0

The moonlight bathed him, stretching his shadow long and thin. 0

He felt as if he was no longer alone; he had a friend, a friend named Xiao You. 0

Upon returning to his grandmother's house, A Ze saw her sitting in the courtyard, waiting for him. 0

"A Ze, you're back," his grandmother said with a smile. 0

"Yeah," A Ze nodded. 0

"Did you have fun playing with You You?" his grandmother asked. 0

A Ze's face turned slightly red as he softly replied, "Yes, I did." 0

His grandmother looked at him with eyes full of love. 0

“A Ze, Grandma knows you are a good child, just a bit shy,” Grandma said. “But remember, friends are very important. With friends, you won’t feel lonely.” 0

A Ze nodded and shared the story that Xiao You had told him with Grandma. 0

After listening, Grandma smiled and said, “You You is truly a child who knows how to tell stories.” 0

“Grandma, do you believe fireflies can talk?” A Ze asked. 0

Grandma looked at A Ze seriously and said, “A Ze, as long as you believe, they will talk.” 0

In the following days, A Ze went to play with Xiao You every day. 0

They ran together in the fields, caught fish in the creek, picked fruits in the orchard, and listened to Grandma tell stories. 0

A Ze became more cheerful and lively, and his smile grew brighter. 0

He discovered that life in the countryside was so interesting and full of vitality. 0

He no longer feared communicating with others; he began to take the initiative to talk to Xiao You, sharing his thoughts and feelings. 0

Xiao You was also very happy; she felt that A Ze was like a seed buried in the soil, finally breaking through the ground to reveal tender sprouts. 0
